I like it because it's not only fast but is also compatible with more devices than just a pc. Like it can go on my ps5 and the load times are really fast. Even though the ps5 heats up quick I've never had a problem with the ssd overheating or anything like that so even when ps5 heats up it stays cooler than the ps5 and on the pc I only have main programs like booting programs and that way is more efficient booting up my computer as it reads the boot up programs faster than old hard disk drive which makes it a very more efficient device.

it's an extremely fast SSD and the craziest thermals I have ever seen. This is what you would consider the highest end option in terms of what's the best on the market. The Samsung 9100 Pro is the first and only SSD I've purchased for my new PC. It has so far exceeded all of my expectations! It was very easy to install into my system and worked quickly with no issues. Even at heavy uploads this SSD has stayed cool and running smoothly. It has had no lag or delay when transferring data and it has stayed in this condition for the better half of a year now. I suspect I will not need an upgrade any time soon, as I will be using this for years to come!

I use nothing but Samsung ssds in my builds. Both the 870 series as well as several of the nvme sticks. I have 9 drives in my current build with this reviewed product as the primary C drive. My oldest drive is several years old and I have yet to have a Samsung drive fail. (This cannot be said of competitor products that i have used in external drive enclosures) By far the most reliable. A little pricey but well worth it for the reliability, speeds and longevity

Excellent performance and top-tier capacity for heavy daily workloads. Read and write speeds are consistently fast, and the included heatsink does a great job keeping thermals under control during long file transfers and intensive editing sessions. Throughput and latency remain steady even under heavy load. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the premium price tag, but if you need reliable high-capacity NVMe storage, it’s worth the investment.

This SDD is too notch. It allows for seamless transition and smooth operation. My computer is running fast as it was when it was brand new. The difference is night and day. The heating feature built-in keeps it cool so my computer doesn't overheat while using multiple applications at once and keeps my processing at peak performance. It's nice to have a large storage space to be able to have games downloaded and ready to go. Games getting bigger and having to choose is inconvenient to wait on re-download when you're changing games often. Reliability- fairly new with this device but works well and doesn't have issues syncing or ejecting Haven't felt noticed any temperature more than room temperature. Speed is more than enough for my old devices to utilize.

I have one of these installed on a new PC build and it's been working on this with gaming through it the storage capacity is good although it was a bit expensive. I've never used any other m.2 before but pretty much everything in my house is Samsung so I figured why not. Hopefully when prices come down I can get a two or four terabyte version or even more gaming. It was super easy to install and my computer pick it up right away.

The 9100 pro ssd has been a great product so far i have plenty of available storage for using when it comes to my gaming experience on my newly built pc and it works great with it, its easy to manage the performance of the ssd and it was fairly simple to use the interface when formatting the ssd. The ssd is not only great with its speed and storage but its also great at heat moderation with the heatsink that came along with it.

Lightning fast. My first SSD was the 830 Pro 256GB. I ran 2 in a RAID and never looked back. The 840 860 and 870 (I believe those are correct without pulling my old PC parts box) followed. When I finally got a mobo with M.2, it was a no trainer to buy the 990 (followed by a 990 without heatsink for my PS5). EVERYONE knows what an SSD and M.2 do. They go fast and load fast and run fast. The 990 goes even FASTER...

A few months ago, my Dell Inspiron 5402/5409 laptop crashed, resulting in acquiring a new Samsung Galaxy Book5 360 laptop. The differences between these two were, besides the obvious age of my Dell (manufactured 2020) vs the Book5 360 (manufactured 2025), being my Dell Inspiron using the Intel i5 processor with 24GB (upgradable to 32GB) of RAM and 1TB SSD of storage while the Book5 360 came using the Intel Core Ultra 7 (Series 2) processor with a fixed (non-upgradable)16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD of storage which is half less than the predecessor. What I found great of this ssd upgrade was the ease of installation, not to mention the Book5 360 having an additional M.2 2280 slot, giving the system a total of 1.5TB of storage while boosting read and write speed - effectively outperforming the older Dell even with more RAM. This upgrade has made my work, school studies and projects easier to construct and complete.

The ssd was easy to install even with the heatsink I had no trouble and it doesn't over heat. The 1 tb is useful. I can tell that the ssd is quick to respond. Its compatible with my pc or ps5. Im pretty happy with my ssd.

Not just the performance but the speed of this drive is excellent. Samsung Magician is amazing and includes so many features from driver updates to health monitoring. Excellent hardware and the reason I only use Samsung!

Storage is very fast and stays cool even under heavy loads. Works great with everything I need it to, and it can do everything from games to artistic workflows. Easy swap from one motherboard to another, with no issues.

Very stable, consistent performance for gaming and really fast for heavy R/W use cases. I think it's constant high performance is due to its passive cooling heatsink efficiency. it worked out of box with my asus mobo.

Amazing, speeds to copy and download is nice, the compalibility with consoles and PCs is great, the capacity is just enough and exactly 1TB, the heatsink keeps it nice and cool and the interface menu is OK and lovely.

Since the review form is prompting for Consistency, Endurance, Latency, Thermals, and Throughput, you can naturally touch on each of those: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Performance and Plenty of Storage I've been extremely happy with the Samsung 9100 PRO 8TB SSD. Performance has been consistently fast from day one, whether I'm gaming, transferring large files, or multitasking. Load times are very quick, and the low latency makes everything feel more responsive. The throughput is impressive, especially when moving large amounts of data, and I haven't noticed any slowdowns during extended use. The included heatsink does a great job with thermals, keeping temperatures under control even during heavy workloads. I've also been pleased with the endurance and reliability so far. It handles everything I throw at it without any issues, and the massive 8TB capacity means I don't have to worry about running out of space anytime soon. Overall, this is a fantastic SSD that delivers excellent speed, consistent performance, good thermal management, and plenty of storage. Highly recommended.

The capacity is great. Haven't had any issues. I bought this like maybe 2 years ago. Still running good. Interface is pretty good, and the compatability works great with my devices. No issues so far as heatsink goes.

Easy to install, spped seem great not using to max capacity but cool to have for future things, 4tb and lots of space, I use it for the ps5 pro. Not 1 issue. I got on sale so it was a no Brainer.

Had some problems in the beginning due to the issues with memory depleting in the past but after the quick hot fix from Samsung the nvme works really well now and upload my games way faster
