So I’ve only had this monitor for like a couple weeks. But honestly, validated the purchase already. I got it on discount, but even at the 1600, I feel it would be worth it. Aesthetic lights on the back, can size down the monitor for gaming as you want, just super nice build. The stand is pretty weighty, but that’s good because I trust it to hold the monitor. Not one to review products, but I know I was on the fence about it even after my friend recommended it, but honestly just incredible picture, really nice features, and the speakers are insane. Hard to justify a price point like that, but honestly, just haven’t seen a monitor like it.

Honestly, I'm just being picky. The picture, colour, build quality, and overall performance is unlike anything I have ever had before, I'm one happy customer. The 240hz is like butter for the eyes. I mostly use this for gaming which I would give it a 10/10. The rest of the time my partner uses it as her at home office monitor, which we give it a 7/10. This mainly comes down to how annoying it is to convert the screen from a single sourse into a double screen source. As most laptops don't support the size of monitor, the only option is to turn the duel screens on. The menu knob is a small, hard to use button... which at times has even had me walking away in frustration. The difference between clicking it in a direction, and clicking it down to select is so fine. My only recommendation to Samsung is to add another botton for select.. and keep the exiting directional button for navigation as the above effects all aspects of menu navigation, then life would be perfect.

Im absolutely in love with this monitor. I'm an IT professional who works from home and I indulge in some gaming when time allows it. My previous monitor setup was 3 business spec monitors which I thought was absolutely fine, until I plugged in this absolute beast and now I cannot look at any other screens without being a little disappointed. The screen real-estate is amazing, paired with some add-ins for the OS it makes managing various windows when working a breeze. The colours are mind blowing, I've always been a fan of bright poppy colour and this does not disappoint at all. The response time for gaming has been a giant step up for me, I cant fault it at all. I wish I made the jump to an ultrawide OLED ages ago, I really feel like I've been missing out.

There are many impressive things about the Odyssey G9, but the biggest one is likely the fact that it can hit a 240hz refresh rate at the massive 5,120 x 1,440 resolution. That makes it a great monitor for playing games requiring high framerates, like competitive or action-packed games. Of course, you will need a powerful GPU to hit both max refresh and resolution, which might mean something like the RTX 4090 or the RX 7900 XTX, and even then, you might struggle slightly without frame generation technology.

As a family of gamers, we were really excited to put this monitor through it's paces. It's the first curved ultra-wide monitor that we have owned as a family. The monitor was easy to set up and fits perfectly on our desk. The height can be adjusted if needed. We struggled to get the monitor to recognise one of our laptops but once we were up and running it was really easy to change the screen resolution, screen size on the settings and the control panel on the monitor was simple to use and understand. The colours are vibrant and you do feel immersed in the game as the monitor almost replicates your vision. One thing we loved was that you can have 2 PC's connected to the monitor which is great for families who want to game together. This is a fantastic monitor which replaces the need for dual monitors and is a great all rounder not just for gaming.

I use it to play my favorite games. It also has amazing picture quality. It makes my games more enjoyable and life like looking. I also love all the different fonts and colors you can choose to use for whatever documents you would like to put them on. I love the fact it has a bigger screen that way I can see alot better without having a phone an inch from my eyes. I just all around love it and have suggested to many others.

The monitor from day one has impressed me with how fast it is to connect to my computer and Mac mini M2. The colors are the best for oled and I have even been able to set at 10 bits in windows do to my laptop. One of the best products you could get. I also love all the extra features the monitor has and the 240hz are very fast for gaming AAA Games. Thanks Samsung for one of the best products out there.

I’ve had this Gaming Monitor for about a Year Now, and it is by far one of my favorite things in the room. This thing takes gaming to a whole other level. It’s so Immersive and it really throws you into the Game. If you are thinking about getting this Monster, I 100% back that decision!! The Monitor is so Good I decided to pick up the G8 OLED one month after I got the G9.

I use my monitor for work mostly. I used to have a taller monitor but realized that I needed the side by side to do my work properly. I'll often have a coding window, a couple of browsers, and a chat up on the same screen. I really can't imagine doing my job any other way anymore. Thankfully, it also handles gaming wonderfully, with rich colors and edge to edge views.

After a month of use I've come to realise I just don't like the form factor. The aspect ratio isn't supported by a lot of games and even when it is supported, visual distortion at the sides of the screen due to width ruin the experience. Sadly these issues weren't something that were immediately apparent to me and the warrenty as now expired. Massive waste of money.

simply amazin, love this monitor! the menus can be a bit slow and clunky especially for the money i would want some form of computer control for fast changes etc but overall very nice! originally thought it didnt have G-sync but it appears it does! when comparing the G93sc to the G95sc G-sync compatibility is one of the differences but they both have it.
I recommended this product.

I use my the G9 for gaming and schoolwork, and the combined size and refresh rate of the moniter is perfect. I can easily play any game, and it allows me to experience a vibrant gaming thrill. The overall monitor has a sturdy and sleek build, and it was very easy to set up and initially get running. 10/10, would recommend.

Have been absolutely in love with this since I got this monitor. For watching TV, editing, gaming, and racing this monitor never fails to be incredibly high in detail. Crisp vibrant image with fast response this monitor never misses a step. Love it can't imagine being without it on my pc set up.

Contrary to popular belief, this monitor is excellent for office productivity with windows fancy zones installed. ignore the other guy. I personally have the left 25% of the monitor as Microsoft teams, middle 50% will be the document I'm working on and the right 25% will be a reference document.

This by far has been the best monitor for work and gaming. Way better than the LG I purchased last year. If you need a great ultrawide smart monitor this is the one to go with. Everything I own is Samsung from cell phone to headphones stereo and this monitor.

Nice clear crisp monitor. Only downside is no usb smart hub for reverse charging of plugged in laptops and the auto switch between DP/HDMI input doesn't always work. Built in speakers would've been expected for the price you paying for this kind of monitor.

First and foremost, the OLED display screen is unreal - the quality of this monitor and the graphics it can output is phenomenal. It really brings the best of your gameplay. Brilliant for PC gaming but I also find the MultiScreen feature super useful where I can split my PS5 on one side and also my desktop on the other which is handy when in between console gaming and having the PC view. When you do receive the monitor, I’ll be honest the box does look massive and I was worried it looking to wide on my desk - but being used to dual monitor display before it didn’t feel too large on my desk and has a perfect viewing angle from side to side. One thing I wished it had was USB C Power Delivery and Display Output to my laptop - it would make it a lot easier being one cable connection rather than two. Overall, very happy with G9 and a huge upgrade from my previous two dual monitor set up I was running - this is far more convenient and with the unbelievable OLED screen and refresh rate, it really is a brilliant gaming monitor!

Great for multi computer setups such as work and personal. But I'm disappointed in the lack of speakers and the placement of the menu joystick is terrible. Equally disappointing is the lack of support and drivers for my operating system.

The quality of this monitor is superb. The OLED screen compared to the previous G9 is super bright and crystal clear. When HDR is activated thats where the colours really do come to life! The curve is different. Its certainly not as aggressive as previous models. I thought it would take me some time to adjust, but after 24 hours im use to it and quite like it. The stand is a big improvement. It doesnt take up as much desk space. Its very sturdy but also much more compact. The height adjustment for the monitor is super smooth. Its super thin, and much more lighter. From my experience so far, the menu button on the back can be hit and miss when pressing enter. Up,Down,Left,Right work fine, but sometimes you need to press it twice for it to register. The positioning of the button behind the screen takes some getting used too. The PBP setting is amazing. Super useful for the kind of games i play. Running dual accounts, means you can split the monitor in half with 2 display cables, and both games run in full screen and look beautiful. I would recommend this product, and i am very happy with my purchase. I think i would prefer the 1000R curve to make this product perfect.

So i was on the market for some time looking for the ideal monitor that would suit all my needs and also my budget as im just out of college and on my own now so i need the all in one sort of situation to fit my lifestyle. Between work task and personal image editing and gaming i needed it to just work. So i looked around and bang for your buck this was seemingly the best option for my needs so i took the leap and boy was i surprised. From the moment i started to unbox but it i could feel the excitement starting to build. My expectations had the ablity to kuash all my reality screen time but on the Contrary all my expectations where met and exceded many times over .you know the experience you have at the store and its like the screen seems so out of this world that you wonder why it never looks like that when you get it home .ever. not this baby it was a mind blowing screengasm and i wasnt alone as my techie roomate was present for the unboxing and initial playstation/gaming pc connections and with all these setups it was like i was experiencing tv for the first time and i was sure at this very moment that id made the right choice.thank you and the pleasure is all my cant wait till i can afford the 8k update.

Firstly, this is my first ULTRA ultrawide monitor, the current being 35inches wide with a softer curve. Immediately I would say that this is a different level. The quality is insane, the OLED screen compared to a regular panel is far brighter and infinitely more crystal clear, the HDR just takes things further with wonderfully deep and rich colours. The curve is subtle and despite being more than my previous ultrawide, is softer than the previous model released by Samsung. Its certainly not as aggressive as previous models. The stand is very easy to put together. After a brief confusion around the vesa mount bracket included in the box, it was very straightforward to setup and also to remove from the stand if required. It doesnt take too much desk space, is very robust and the height and tilt adjustment is very smooth. The monitor itself is very thin and feels well made. From my experience so far, the menu toggle button is straightforward and intuitive and is easy to use. One thing worth noting is that the placement of the button on the back of the screen is not so intuitive and does take some getting used to. The PBP setting is miraculous. Very useful for split purposes such as gaming and working or working and CCTV. I would highly recommend this product, and in fact have already told my friend that he needs to buy one as soon as physically possible. I am beyond pleased with my purchase and look forward to using it more.

Upon first turning on this monitor you instantly can tell the difference over an led monitor. The blacks are amazing and the colour just pops better. The work purposes there is plenty of space for three screens worth of windows and the text clarity is good. I did find I had to turn the brightness down for working as the screen offers that might brightness. For games though this monitor excels even more. If you have the hardware to make use of the 240hz display you wonder how you ever survived with a lesser refresh rate. Everything is silky smooth and a game of F1 or call of duty really runs a dream. The increased width of the screen especially gives racing games a fresh feel. I have seen that people are concerned about the brightness of the monitor when playing games. For gaming I have left the monitor at its default brightness and everything is crisp and bright on screen. I get plenty of light in my room so I can reassure you the brightness is not an issue. The only one drawback I can find is the physical menu button on the back of the screen. As this monitor does not have a remote, you operate the menu options such as changing the input, refresh rate etc using using one button. I have found that sometimes you have to click it a few times to register. However this is the smallest of issues when considering how well this monitor performs as a whole. Overall I am very happy with this monitor and it will remain part of my setup for years to come.

Best monitor I have ever owned and I have owned the best IPS ultra wide and multi monitor setups in the past. As a programmer, productivity is a must and OLED in dark mode has been great. I was willing to compromise slightly for the unbeatable gaming experience OLED offers at 240hz and it is simply fantastic. No light bleed, no haloing on highlights in dark scenes, almost perfect white and grey uniformity, no overshoot on high refresh rates and no issues with text, all with an equivalent of 2 x 2560x1440 monitors without separation in the middle, HDR that actually looks great without burning your eyes out and a gloss finish that handles reflections without too much wash out. The panel care features are subtle and do not bother me. The monitor pixel refreshes itself during idle times and pixel shift happens but is not a concern. The aesthetics are also the best I have had with a small stand for the size and just a really subtle Samsung imprint that you can only see with a torch. For HDR I use Original picture mode with Natural Color and brightness at 40 and ECO mode with natural colour and 15 brightness for SDR, The only slight negatives are no alt-dp mode on USB-C, no KVM and the ALB and gamma curve in Peak HDR1000 mode, which I wish was closer to the TB HDR400 mode but without the highlight crush of that mode. The only other issue is the lack of burn in warranty that others offer with same panel but it was a choice between some of these issues and 240hz which was a shame. Otherwise I would call it as close to a perfect monitor I have used. Just hope those organic LEDs can keep up with my work/gaming load for as long as possible, so far so great.

I have been using the G93SC version of this monitor ( the version without any of the smart tv features) and I love it! It comes packaged well and is heavy, 8kg without the huge metal stand. I have mounted it on a monitor arm to reclaim some desk space that the metal stand takes up, the stand is great but I prefer using an arm. It’s 49 inches in diameter and I have been using it with my MacBook Pro and yes with the correct cable I get 120hz and full resolution using the DP port. I have also tested it with my PS5 and I can’t get full screen with it but that’s a restriction of the PS5 and finally using a windows pc everything works fine. It has a DP port, HDMI port and micro hdmi port, I would say that I would have appreciated a headphone jack but it does have fairly good speakers built in. For gaming with a windows pc I can get the full 240HZ which is fantastic, that Oled screen really does make a difference. For multitasking and multiple windows open and visible at the same time this monitor is hard to beat. In full screen I get apps like Adobe to work perfectly as the full time line is visible. The screen is the equivalent of 2 x 27in 16:9 monitors next to each other without the ugly bezel down the centre. I love the led halo circle on the back which has different colours and patterns, it just looks gorgeous especially with that silver back. I love that this monitor is gently curved as I prefer that (1800 instead of 1000 curves of other Samsung monitors) I now can’t go back to anything smaller! The monitor also has pip so the screen can split in two with 2 different sources, so for example my PS5 running on one side and my MacBook Pro on the other side. I genuinely love this monitor and it has become my monitor of choice, bravo Samsung, you have created another beautiful device.

I previously owned the older QLED version of this monitor, so I knew what to expect from 32:9 (very immersive, couldn't go back!) and was pretty excited about the deep blacks and colours of QD-OLED, but wasn't sure how much of a difference it'd make. But after getting it set up (way easier than last time since it's like half the weight) and turning it on I was blown away. Without even tweaking it, it's easily the most beautiful display I've seen - and that's including phones and TVs and stuff. The colours are so vibrant and perfect, it's hard to describe. The jump from my old monitor (which was still QLED and pretty great!) is like the jump from CRT to LCD or VHS to Blu-ray. It even makes the AMOLED display on my phone look a touch dull. Some other unexpected pleasant surprises are the finish, front and back. The screen is much more glossy than the matte displays I'm used to on monitors (helping them amazing colours look even better), while the rear is metallic and super premium looking. Plus, the 'core' light at the back can now do different colours and effects, which is pretty cool (though the sync setting where it matches your screen doesn't work too well, it's a bit delayed and jumpy so it's too distracting). Also, I'd heard that the subpixel arrangement can make text a little less sharp but I couldn't really see any difference, especially after tuning ClearType in windows! One other niggle I have is the OSD can be a little bit confusing sometimes, but it's still better than many and now I've got it set up I doubt I'll touch it much. Speaking of software though, it looks like all the firmware woes of the earlier models have been ironed out too. My old G9 frequently required unplugging from the wall after getting stuck trying to wake from sleep, especially if switching display, but I've had zero issues on the OLED G9 so far. I can't recommend this monitor enough. I really can't imagine one better than this.

This monitor has been a fantastic addition to my gaming and productivity setup. Firstly, the 240Hz refresh rate has just been a dream up until now for me. Playing games at such a high refresh rate is an absolute joy. Every movement is buttery smooth, and fast-paced games like racing games become a whole new experience. It's like getting a competitive edge, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my gaming performance and lap times. The sheer size of the 49" widescreen display is awe-inspiring. It wraps you in the game, immersing me like never before. The OLED technology offers deep blacks, vibrant colours, and incredible contrast, which enhances the visual quality significantly. It's a feast for the eyes. But what's remarkable about this monitor is its versatility. When I'm not gaming, I'm using it for productivity tasks, especially with office apps. The wide screen real estate allows me to open multiple windows and applications side by side without feeling cramped. It's perfect for multitasking. Whether I'm working on documents, spreadsheets, or even a bit of graphic design, the Samsung G9 provides the space and clarity I need to be productive. One aspect that I must highlight is the monitor's curvature. It's not just for aesthetics but also functionality. The curvature makes sure that the entire screen is evenly in focus, reducing distortion at the edges and giving an immersive viewing experience, whether I am gaming or working. I have to also mention that the build and design of the Samsung G9 is top-notch. It looks sleek and modern on my desk, and the build quality feels robust and durable. the G9 OLED gaming monitor is a true all-rounder. It has elevated my gaming with its 240Hz refresh rate and immersive OLED display. At the same time, it has enhanced my productivity by providing ample screen space for multitasking with office apps. It's a piece of tech that I've truly come to love and appreciate in my setup over the last few weeks. Only con: I don’t think i could go back to my old dual monitor setup after experiencing this ultra wide sensation .

I've been using the Samsung G9 (93SC version) for a couple of weeks now. Previously I had a fairly run-of-the-mill 2560x1080 widescreen IPS monitor which was doing the job of my work and gaming monitor. After playing games on my PC plugged into my Living room OLED TV, I realised how amazing things can look with an OLED panel. When the G9 arrived, my initial thoughts were holy cow the box is HUGE. The monitor was very securely packed, which I suppose is a good thing with such an expensive item. After unboxing it, I read the super-simple assembly instructions. Literally took 10 minutes from opening the box to getting the stand connected and the monitor set up in my room. Warning! The connections for HDMI and Displayport are on the rear of the monitor and tucked into little crevices, so I advise you connect all your cables before putting the monitor on the desk. Turning the device on, with my PC connected via the included DP, I was blown away by the image. Like my OLED TV downstairs, the games really pop. The colours and the contrast between black and white is superb. I loaded up Alan Wake II (which I had been playing on my other monitor) and the difference was astounding. The game is very dark and uses light and shadows to great effect, playing it on OLED has made such a huge difference that I restarted it again just to experience the effects. I've also used the monitor for when I work from home. I was a little concerned at first, as I heard that there is some issue with text clarity. I have not found this to be the case at all. To my eyes, the text is sharp and clean. Having that upgraded resoultion (from 2560x1080 to 5120x1440) has meant I can open up an Excel sheet and have so much more on the screen at one time. I feel this will increase my productivity (as long as I can stop playing games on it long enough). I also found it's super easy to install Microsoft Powertools on Windows and then set custom screen windows. I've set mine up to split the screen in different ways. I also tested out the Picture in PIcture feature, having my main PC connected over DisplayPort and then my Steamdeck connected over the HDMI. This worked really well, so well that I set the custom button on the monitor to turn on/off PIP. Makes it easy to have a sneaky game whilst still checking my emails.

A month or two ago I was thinking whether I would need a bigger monitor and then coincidentally, a few weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to answer that very question... and oh boy, was I totally not expecting this monstrosity! Meet Samsung's latest Odyssey OLED G9. A monstrously curved 49 inch, 32:9 aspect ratio, dual WQHD, 240Hz gaming monitor. It came in a monitor box that's easily the biggest one that I've ever received, and most LCD TVs! Assembling it was a breeze, slot in the base to the main arm and tighten the screw, then hook the mount into the back of the monitor and snap it into place. I was surprised how easy it was to setup and fairly sceptical it would hold too, but Samsung did a brilliant job here! Once setup and placed into position, it literally dominates my desk taking nearly half the space?! As you can see from one of the photos, I have a lot of cables but the monitor arm only offers simple cable management. However, I guess if if you really wanted to show off the back of the monitor then you would have all the cable management under the desk anyway. On to plugging it into my computer, I initially had a bit of trouble as my PC only had USB4 instead of DP or a capable HDMI port, but that's the only cable that didn't come with the monitor. I ended up buying one but you have to make sure that that the USB4 to DP cable is 8K capable otherwise the monitor will not be able to be configured to the max resolution of 5120x1440. If for whatever reason, you want to set it to a lower resolution or using lesser standard of cables, you can set this using the monitors OSD menu. Anyway, after that little hiccup and finally booting to the desktop, it offers oodles of workspace. It easily accommodates 3 oversized browser windows with plenty of whitespace so could probably fit more in there. Using this for productivity purposes is a delight! And as for gaming, there's so much to look at and it's going to take some getting used to, especially with the extra left/right real estate! My eyes are always wide alert twitching left and right, and I'm worried about neck stingers for sure! As you can see in the photo, my speakers can no longer sit on either side of the monitor and have to tower above it to be heard now! And my laptop has to make full use of the flexible mount so it doesn't get in the way of the new monitor. It's definitely the centre of attention here, and rightly so!
