Picture was great but did not keep. Use for work and could not wait for this monitor to wake up from sleep. Would show a 5 second no input screen, then another 5 second connecting screen and then asked to register product blocking the screen for 5 seconds before you could use computer. Called Samsung after registering product to get rid of Register Pop-Up, could not help. Might be something with connecting my ROG computer but did not work for me. It's very common to find many people with the same problem when searching online

The Samsung 27” Odyssey G8 G81SF is a top tier monitor built for today's top builds. You will need some serious hardware to make the most out of this monitor. The picture is stunning, and the colors are magnificent. The blacks are deep as the eye can see. It really is something that needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. The matte screen looks great in any lighting and the pixel density keeps images crisp. It's an investment towards a “future proof” monitor that will be relevant for years. Gaming is great with 240hz refresh rate and .03ms response time, it helps you get a leg up on the competition.

Got a chance to test out this monitor with some 4K videos and some gaming. Was stunning with both. Would highly recommend this monitor, for gaming especially. I really appreciate the glare free aspect of the monitor and how glare does not interfere with gaming or watching videos. The construction of the monitor is beautiful and I am especially taken aback by the slim metal design. I don’t remember seeing the back of a monitor as well designed as this one. In testing the monitor with 8k videos I have to say the picture is stunning and reproduced the video perfectly with spectacular colors and black levels on the OLED panel. Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to pick this monitor up especially if you are looking for one with a 240hz refresh rate.

I have been using this monitor for a few weeks now and it's really good! The image quality is great! I'm not sure I have ever seen a better looking screen before trying this monitor. Everything looks crisp and us very eye popping because of the 4K screen. I've been playing some Rocket League and some other video games and the smoothness is unreal. It's a perfect monitor for any e-sports game! I also watch a lot of YouTube and everything just looks amazing! Between the OLED panel, high refresh rate, HRD, and VRR support, this thing has it all!

The vibrant colors, dark blacks and bright whites make it an absolute joy to use as a daily driver. The FAST 240hz makes gaming feel smooth and competitive gaming feel like a breeze. I love the look of the monitor itself as well. It looks sleek and modern without being too "loud" in the aesthetics department. Coming from a non OLED 1440p 240hz monitor, I can definitely say that you can feel the jump in performance in this upgrade. After experiencing the brightness, dark rich blacks, faster feeling 240hz, vibrant colors, and gorgeous 4k, I can definitely say I would recommend this upgrade to anyone on the fence 10/10 times.

I would like to have had the smart tv option and remote included but other than that I’ve been very impressed by this monitor. The glare free HDR 10 works beautifully and refresh rate for gaming is smooth. PIP option is handy when you need to multitask. I would definitely recommend for anyone who’s a serious gamer or just wants to best picture quality possible for your monitor.

I’ve had this monitor for a while now and I love it. The latency is minimal and the display quality, brightness and color quality is top notch. The deep blacks can’t Andy deeper than this! I’ve never noticed any screen tearing effects from fast pace shooter games. The build quality is great on this monitor and the styling of this monitor looks pretty cool to me. Not anything crazy and not boring, it’s just right. A feature I like is the standby mode. It’s one less step for me when I want to hop on for a quick game. I don’t have to ever touch my monitor to turn it on. Overall, if you’re looking for a high end monitor that has the quality your feening for, then this monitor won’t disappoint. I’m happy with what I have and intend to keep it for a few years!

Great colors and image after tweaking a bit and playing around with the settings on the monitor and windows/amd. Running this with a 7900xt and 4K gaming for the first time and it’s amazing. Freesync makes a world of difference I was worried I would have to lower my settings, but this thing is a beast. Runs cool and use it for productivity and studying and not worried about burn in because of it. Highly recommend, only downside I’d put is the IO panel feels easily breakable if you jam the connectors in.

This is my 3rd 27" OLED monitor and by far the best. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: First 4K 27" OLED panel with high refresh rate on the market. Finally no text clarity issues due to unusual sub pixel layout like predecessors used to have. It's thin and light and partially made out of metal therefore feels premium. Cons: No KVM that would be very useful for productivity. No USB-C to connect and charge your laptop with just one cable. USB type-A cable wasn't included in the box, that's unusual.

Absolutely love my upgrade from a curved Samsung 32 FHD monitor to this 32 inch 4k. It is an all purpose monitor that I can use for work, and gaming. Clean and clear text, I can fit 4 apps on the screen comfortably to work with. Color reproduction is fantastic, Minimal adjustment needed. With the up to 240hz refresh rate, my eyes don't feel tired even after a whole day of work. Height adjustable, tilt adjustable and even can rotate a full 90 degrees if you need a vertical monitor.

No matter what type of gamer you are, getting a monitor with a fast response time for great motion handling is beneficial. Low input lag is also important, but that's the case with most monitors. Having VRR support helps reduce screen tearing, and most monitors support common VRR formats. Lastly, premium monitors usually have incredible picture quality, so they offer the best of both worlds. Even some entry-level monitors have good picture quality, but these are less common.

I wasn’t sure if OLED would really make a big difference for gaming, but this monitor changed my mind FAST. The picture quality is stunning - deep blacks, vibrant colors, and the 240Hz refresh rate keeps everything feeling incredibly smooth. I had some concerns about burn-in, but their protections seem solid so far, and I haven’t noticed any issues. The specs are frankly overkill. On DP1.4, the option of 10bit 4K 240Hz shows up, it looks fantastic. I haven't really noticed and FSC artifacts. The display is gorgeous, input latency is nothing noticable, and the pixel response time plus 240Hz yields the best gaming experience. Movies look fine once settings are dialed in. I do wish Samsung made it easy to get a mode where nothing more than the most accurate and true to the original picture was displayed.

I use this primarily for my PS5 pro. The picture quality and the details and color that I am able to see are great. This is my second gaming monitor I have ever own and love it. I use it for gaming of course and the quality is good, I messed with the settings for picture to adjust the contrast and brightness to make the colors more natural. I also use it to stream shows and anime of course. Overall an amazing Monitor and amazing picture quality.

Coming from a mid-range high refresh rate IPS panel to this OLED panel has made an astonishing difference to my experience in the best way possible. Remarkable refresh rate. The response times are so fast that I feel like I'm cheating. HDR, when enabled makes the monitor really bright and games look amazing. I play fast paced FPS games like COD and Apex Legends and this monitor fully delivers. The monitor is amazing absolutely pleased with it.

I’ve been using the Samsung 27” Odyssey OLED G81SF, and wow—it’s seriously impressive. The screen looks amazing. The colors are super vibrant, and the blacks are really deep, which makes games and videos look incredible. It’s an OLED screen, so that’s a big upgrade from regular monitors. The 240Hz refresh rate and super fast response time make everything feel smooth, especially when I’m playing fast games like Valorant or Call of Duty. No lag, no weird motion blur—just super clean gameplay. It also looks cool. The design is sleek, and the lighting on the back adds a nice touch. The stand is sturdy and easy to adjust, so I can set it up just how I like. If I had to complain about anything, it’s that it doesn’t have HDMI 2.1, which might matter if you use a console. And like most OLEDs, it can get a bit warm. But honestly, I haven’t had any issues.

From the clarity of the over 8 million OLED pixels to the 240hz refresh rate to the 0.03ms GtG response times, this thing delivers. Its fast without being choppy, and the viewing angles are forgiving. It takes standard VESA mounts, so I can easily add a multi monitor mount whenever I buy another one. The blacks are dark, the colors are vibrant, and the display is bright without bleeding light. It has HDR 10+ certifications and covers 100% of sRGB, so if you do work with color reproduction on the side or for a living and gaming on the side, this would be a beast of a main panel. In games, there's no trail, no choppiness, and the colors and contrast look fantastic. It supports GSYNC, FreeSync, and adaptive sync so you won't have to worry about frame buffering or fooling around with sync limiting your refresh rates. Highly recommend, would give 6 stars if I could!

I really struggle to understand how this product made it into the real world without anyone intervening. I own other Samsung screens, including an OLED TV, which has a glossy screen and is beautiful. With this monitor, however, they tried to use some sort of matte screen technology that leaves a very visible cloudy / smudgy appearance all over the screen. It is extremely visible any time you have white or other light-colored content on the screen, which for me is quite a lot. The whole purpose of buying a top-of-the-line OLED monitor like this for the excellent appearance of the screen, and yet this one looks worse than screens much cheaper. Unfortunately, I feel this one is a big miss by Samsung. Hopefully they learn from this, because I have a large number of Samsung screens and enjoy the ecosystem, especially the ability to calibrate the screens with my Samsung Galaxy phones.

I use this monitor for gaming and streaming movies/shows. The picture quality on it is wonderful. The colors are very dynamic and the backlight on the monitor adds for a more dynamic/diverse experience. I like to use the backlight in sync with the picture on screen. Adjusting the monitor's height or tilts is very simple. This is a wonderful monitor and i highly recommend it.

The display itself looks amazing especially compared to my non oled samung monitor. The refresh rate is outstanding for competitive games and the colour accuracy is really good. However I found an issue with the monitor where I can't change the display to ultrawide unless I turn freesync off. This is very disappointing as this worked flawlessly on my previous monitor.

I am using this monitor mainly for gaming and it’s been a great treat. I had a non-oled 2k monitor, and the quality of this thing is beyond imaginable. The monitor does get a little warm with default settings, I think this could be caused by the cooling features where it tries and disperses heat. You should bring down the brightness as it’s maxed out by default.

With that being said, coming out of the box, the colors are very vibrant and text when working is very clear. I play FPS and RPG games on this monitor and the 240 hz refresh rate is solid. Between the refresh rate and how crisp the picture is, it is extremely easy to get beyond immersed in whatever task you have set for yourself for the day. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “I can never buy a matte OLED, it ruins the clarity!”. I encourage those who work and play in bright environments to give this machine a go, the reflection handling on this monitor is unlike any I have ever seen while retaining 99% of the deep blacks that OLEDs are known for. That slight trade-off, for me, is well worth it in order to use this monitor in any environment I choose. I have no problems using this monitor, both day and night, for this reason. With 240hz, 4K, QD-OLED colors and a blazing fast response time, I don’t see any other 16:9 monitor on the market to buy when eyeing these specs. This is the one. The slim, metal design is sleek while the colors of HDR 10+ pop like no other display. Don’t let the fact that it’s matte ruin your experience. Give it a go and you’ll see that the trade-off is well worth the flexibility and longevity out of this machine with its custom heat sink.

I absolutely love this monitor! The picture quality and the color contrast are absolutely out of this world! I understand why the product line is called "Odyssey" now after getting it. This monitor truly comes to life the most when playing a graphic intensive game where it handles it beautiful and you can see the details really shine!

El monitor se ve increible, se nota muchisimo la diferencia de un IPS a un OLED, no creo que vuelva nunca mas a un monitor led, solamente hecho en falta que cambie de input automaticamente, si lo tengo en hdmi y se apaga y enciendo el dispositivo que esta en displayport no se cambia automaticamente, pero por lo demas es una pasada

Very fast refresh rate/response time that gives a beautiful picture for gaming without any of the downsides. Was really nice to play Rocket league on! Also the bezel is incredibly small which makes you really lose yourself in the game without distraction. Nice to have a good selection of high quality cables too for connectivity.

The 4K OLED is insane - deep blacks and solid colours, plus glare free means I don't have to faff about with blinds during the day. 240Hz is smooth for competitive stuff and the response time feels snappy. Good port selection too. Definitely recommend though it's a bit pricey - does what it's supposed to do well.

I love the resolution on this Samsung Odyssey G8 I couldn't see myself with anything else. When it comes to PC Screens Samsung is the #1 brand to deliver crisp sound,immersive colors and visuals, glare reduction, and keeps a cool temperature to. I'm more than satisfied with my Odyssey Oled G8.

The best features are its fast response time, refresh rate, colors, how deep the black levels go and i love how the monitor seems to be just like watching a movie or playing a game look more like im looking outside or in a room, almost like its lifelike image quality and color profile.

The Samsung G81SF is fantastic for content consumption in a beautiful package. The aluminum chassis gives the monitor a truly premium feel to match the gorgeous picture quality of the QD-OLED. Despite a matte coating it maintains great clarity and content looks fantastic!

Well, they got me. After tons of research on oleds, I decided to hop in. A month in, hadnt heard anything about my promotional headset. Contact support. We'll get it taken care of. Nope. Two weeks later. We'll get it taken care of. Nope. Now 3 months from ordering. Still hasn't been taken care of. Now three months in, I'm starting to notice screen burn in. I play a couple hours a day, when I walk away from the pc, I minimize anything I had open and have task bar set to hide. The main game i play that has a static hud, I hide hud in until I'm about to be in combat(World of Warcraft) AND have burn in protection addon which dims my screen to black if I'm afk for any more than a minute AND constantly shifts my UI, 30pixels at a time to random spots. Yet here I am, with my health bar burnt into the screen. Support says I'll be without a monitor til they fix it, which I obviously have little faith in, being 3 months into an existing issue. May just chuck it on marketplace and buy an asus, or question oled altogether again.

Excellent monitor for use in video games console or for use in PCs, it has good screen brightness and good HDMI connections, it has great options for state-of-the-art consoles where certain parameters are needed to enjoy all the options that are needed.

Upgraded from a G5 UHD to the G8 QLED.. it's like night and day difference in picture and in speed. I only game on it and the best one I've played on ever. The immersion of the QLED is perfect.Worth the money highy recommend this to anybody gaming.

There is a grain that is visible on white and lighter colours. It makes whites look dirty and distorts the lighter colours. This is unacceptable for a display of this cost. Support have been no help so this monitor will be getting returned.

For gaming the actions are fluid on this monitor. Color reproduction is superb for graphics and photo editing. Love the picture n picture feature on this monitor. A USB-C option is lacking but there are plenty other connection options.

Wow. The Samsung 27" Odyssey OLED G8 G81SF is a beast. I wish I didn’t wait so long to make the jump to oled. I was wanting to downsize from a 32” screen size and when I saw Samsung put out a premium 27” screen I knew it was time. The colors pop and the blacks look fantastic and the refresh rate keeps everything smooth. I thought my previous IPS monitor was decent enough but now I see all the flaws in my previous IPS monitor. The inaccurate colors, light banding, and poor contrast are all a thing of the past. The G81SF has handled everything I throw at it from gaming to word processing to video content to browsing the net. I am a fan of the matte screen as I don’t have total control over the lighting where I have my computer set up but this screen shines regardless and there are zero pesky reflections. The build quality is fantastic and the monitor looks and feels premium. The stand offers a lot of customization and stays true to the premium design. I’ve had over two weeks of use with this monitor and everything has been amazing. Well done Samsung.

I love the monitor, it has an amaizing image quality. Display port 1.4 isn't a problem becase image quality with HDMI 2.1 and DSC remains the same. However it's unfortunate that it doesn't have the USB-C video output and KVM.

I've tried a 27" OLED monitor by a different brand before, but it was only QHD and not 4K. I'm happy with this Samsung's 27" 4K variant! Black levels are as black as I'd expect any OLEDs to be, and the monitor looks sleek and sharp. I do wish the monitor was a glare option as I prefer that personally, but that's okay. Out of the box, I noticed that the RGB ring behind the monitor wasn't on by default and I feel like many would miss that feature. Few parts that I thought was a bit misleading from the product photos were that the bezel is not as uniformly thin in reality, and that there's no speaker built in (as far as I'm aware). On a positive note, I'm glad to see 120Hz frame rate working on a Mac OS with DisplayPort, and not seeing in 240Hz is an operating system limitation. 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 works perfectly, and I like to use it at 2440 for retina-like experience. In terms of the build quality, it may look like silver plastic, but I like the slim metal design, too. I'll have to check out the PIP feature when I get a chance. Great sharp OLED monitor!

This is an excellent monitor but it has some glaring weaknesses that never should have been allowed. The panel is capable of 4K 240 Hz but Samsung didn't put in DP 2.1 so it's impossible to hit that resolution and refresh rate without DSC (Display Stream Compression). Even the HDMI 2.1 ports only allows 4K at 144 Hz at most without compression. How this monitor was allowed to be so over spec'd but not have the necessary port bandwidth is a huge oversight. Which sucks because this thing is just about perfect otherwise. The matte screen helps with glare so much more than other comparable OLED screens. Everything is crisp and beautiful with the pixel density offered at 4K 27" screen size. If DP 2.0 can be enabled via a firmware update of some kind then I think Samsung definitely needs to do it. And also someday swallowing their pride and making their TVs and monitors Dolby Vision compatible. I'm still keeping this for now because it's a big improvement over my current IPS monitor but if another company released a matter screen with DP 2.1 I would be abandoning this monitor.

My device was broken on delivery the power plug was faulty and the entire back panel would click. I plugged my monitor in today and the pixels started bleeding on the screen and now it won't turn on anymore

I like to use my monitor for gaming watching anime, movies, and tv shows. Since the monitor is Oled it really makes the color and picture stand out and shine.

Great monitor - super sharp, smooth and colours look great. It’s not cheap, but if you’re into fast-paced games and want the best visuals, it's worth it imo!
