Overall very happy with the upgrade. Love to see all the improvements specifically the weight and thickness reduction. other things I liked:
1. Battery life and charging speed improvements. (Wireless and Wired
2. CPU performance improvements
3. Camera quality ( especially improvements to underscreen camera
4. Decrease in crease
Would like to see:
1. Integrated s-pen
2. For a flag ship device accessories are a must. At tye bare minimum Inwould like to see a charging block especially with higher charging speeds than previous gen folds.
3. IP68 rating ( I know this is crazy hard with a hinge)
4. Samsung version of Magsafe

This is my 4th Samsung phone . All have been excellent and trouble free . The Z fold 5G is the best by far . All the usual great features , like Camera and easy to use apps . If you enjoy the endless supply of videos from You Tube and Tik Tok it's spectular. Netflix and other providers perform flawlessly . The battery life is excellent, and can be used in conjunction with a seperate keyboard and stand . Perfect for those emails and office duties . The fold out screen , can operate as 2 independent screens , that can share files . Can be used as a conventional mobile , by using the single front screen . I love my new Samsung Z fold 5G .

I know you probably read lots of reviews in the past that have said this is the best phone ever but I am telling you right now. Hands down that this phone is the best phone ever. I love it because, although it looks a little big. It's actually not that big, and it fits in your hand so flawlessly. Sometimes I forget that my phone is a fold Phone because it works so well without opening it. But once you remember that you can open your phone, you're on it all day long. Flip side open gaming, networking And using dual sides, it's fantastic. It's like a little mini computer right in your pocket. I've been looking for something like this for years.

I have been a steady NOTE customer since the NOTE 3. I was very resistant to changing my phone but when the NOTE line was replaces by the Ultra line, I was finally open to suggestions. When I saw that the s23 ultra and fold5 was about the same weight, I decided to make the change and I haven't looked back since. I find that I am now an ambassador for the Fold series. I am in sales so I usually needed my laptop to do most things but now I rarely need to use my laptop on the road like I used to. My Fold 5 is great to present spreadsheets, reports images, you name it, it makes my life easier. I don't think you can be disappointed with this phone.

A friend had an older version of the Samsung Fold and I loved the size of the screen. Once the new Fold5 was announced, and it had a fantastic trade in program, I happily ordered mine and scheduled the trade of my Samsung S22 Ultra. It shipped quickly, and I was NOT disappointed! I love the phone, the screen size, and how easy it was to set up. In addition, since I have dropped it more than a few times, I have been very happy with it's durability. I added the case with the slim sPen, and I was good to go. I get tons of compliments and comments on my phone. If you are undecided, I definitely suggest you get one of these amazing devices!

I think what really sets this phone apart is how flexible it is (no pun intended). This thing is practically everything you need it to be. It can be a phone, a tablet and even a computer with Samsung dex. Did I mention that it's compatible with a pen? This is a truly powerful device that is not just great for consuming content, but also great when you need to get down to business. I used to carry an iPhone for as my phone and I had to lug around my iPad with me to be able to use the pen and sign documents electronically. Now I can just bring one great device that I can turn into a computer too if I need. The battery would surprise you as well.

A first I was weary of the phone due to the thickness and uncertainty of the quality of the foldable screen. After tinkering with it in the store I decided it was definitely worth the upgrade. I don't have a need for a tablet anymore, and outside of a few situations, I don't always need my laptop either. While on a trip to Las Vegas I was able to comfortably watch movies on the foldable screen. As a result I was able to reduce the amount of devices that I needed to bring with me. I don't have to spend the extra money on a tablet either. The Z Fold has easily become my favorite phone I have ever owned. It will be hard to top this model / design.

I use the fold everyday, my main selling point was that it opens like a book and makes it easier to read ebooks on. I've never been a fan of ebooks but this device has been a great expiration with no complaints. I've had it for about a year and a half and it still has a great snap when closing it and opening it. I have the original screen protectors on. It's fast, rarely do I have any issues, and the issues I do have are as simple as restarting the device, and are always Carrier issues. 10/10 would recommend. It's great for reading with, watching tv/movies on, I use it for work projects and education. Galaxy AI and other services are great.

I am a novice to the Z fold line and all the functions and features amaze me. I upgraded from the Galaxy 21 ultra to this device, so I am in a learning curve. Comparing the obvious, is the size and weight, but I am adjusting to the Z fold. The functions and features are plentiful and I am still discovering new ones. YouTube has been my teacher and guide for using and setting up my Z Fold. I don't have the stylus, but do plan to get it ASAP, and I am still searching for the right case for me. I do have one of Samsung's cases on it but I am not happy with it. Overall, I love the Z Fold, and the functions I have learned and utilized thus far.

I have never used a foldable device before and I have to say I am quite impressed. Every action and especially multitasking is fast, simple, reliable and there's definitely seamless actions across apps in my experience so far. I'm shocked how barely noticeable the crease is compared to older versions, and I hear the newer ones have gotten even better. I absolutely love my Fold5 for productivity AND for gaming and I'll be keeping an eye out for the announcement of the 7 to see if it's tempting enough to upgrade but for now I am completely happy. It's not my daily driver but rather my replacement for my previous competitor device as a tablet.

The hardware itself is great. The folding mechanism works very well. I thought I would be bothered by the crease in the folded screen but I rarely notice it.
The software is very smooth, even when transitioning from folded to unfolded. There are a few major apps that have issues when in the unfolded display ratio. Some major apps don't adjust to the aspect ratio (Instagram) or have text that vibrates on screen (Google messages).
The only improvement in the hardware I would want to purchase the next version is an improved camera and battery life (current charging rate is acceptable).
This is my first folding phone and I am satisfied overall.

Currently use my Zfold for IT work.
Phone has great speeds and allows me to have a phone and tablet on the go. Being that the phone opens up i have a lot bigger of a screen to be able to have a lot better experience when i connect to peoples computers at work and the phone performs better overall.
Bigger screen when opened also allows me to be more productive and efficient as i am able to have multiple applications up at the same time thanks to the Multi Window mode.
Phone is very powerful as well as it lets me turn it into a pc hub as i am able to connect a monito and mouse to is and gives me the feel and performance of a laptop/desktop.

I can't help but think that the Fold 5 should come with a S Pen as standard. Was disappointed when I opened the box only to find no S Pen as the display phone had a pen beside it. I think Samsung missed an opportunity here. The Samsung case with slim S Pen is not of Samsung build quality and you will find many people who give the product a 1 star rating because the Pen is prone to falling out of ita spot. Samsung, you are getting closer to perfection, but not quite there. My friend nearly lost her Pen from the Samsung case and we looked into it and found it a common complaint. I still love Samsung. They'll learn and get it right next time.

I was so happy to receive this phone. This included the mobile, charger, instructions and sim pin. The mobile itself is amazing quality and it exceeded my expectations especially fold spine. It's snug and smooth. The display quality is amazing on the mobile and large screen. It is like a mini laptop in your pocket. The mobile is very easy to set up and I have had no lag on internet and between apps. The quality of the audio is great via ear or speaker. I do think the loudspeaker could be louder. I do wish a plug was given with the mobile. The camera and video quality are mind blowing. Overall I would recommend this mobile but it is pricey.

My Galaxy ZFold 5 phone is great the quality of the pictures & video are just like watching a TV, playing games on my phone is excellent that my grandson have my phone more than me for games. The different modes you can use for all of your activities,I like the text in call without saying a word,I also enjoy how you can hide your background on video calls, and how you can still play games while you are on google meet. The feature where you can find your galaxy devices & find your phone when it's offline, casting a single app to your TV is mind blowing, sharing files and your power with someone else phone is great overall I really enjoy my phone.

I'm a pretty heavy phone gamer so this phone has been perfect for me. I do use social media quite a bit as well so I was a bit worried that the smaller screen while the phone is closed would be an issue. But it's great. I can navigate everything the same way I did with my previous Samsung phone just fine. Even with a case on the phone to protect it from drops, it still fits in my pants or jacket pocket just fine.
Overall I'm very impressed with the Z Fold 5. There are so many customization options and settings to make the phone uniquely yours. Going from the s22 Ultra to the Z Fold 5 was the best decision I've made with my phone tech in years.

The screen never ceases to amaze me. The big one I mean. There's so much real estate that I often find myself reaching for it over my Tab S8 Ultra because it's more compact and lighter. I am able to multitask easily. I'll have my Excel sheet open with a list of my bills on one half, my banking app in one corner and a browser underneath that. I play puzzle games with a pop up YouTube video open at the same time. The one downfall of owning this device though, is the app support. Which is by no means the phone's fault but more because of the lack of developer support. Some apps open up and look just like a blown up version of the regular sized app.

I converted from my S22 Ultra due to great black friday deals. I loved my ultra but I really wanted to try the fold innovation. I'm glad I took the plunge. I love this phone, everyday I come across a reason I love the fold, especially due to the multi tasking power when working between two apps to copy information or drag and drop a file or image. Samsung really have thought about everything with this technology. Additionally the original Samsung case with the S-Pen is very well built and does not increase the size of the phone to much. The phone build feels strong and the hinge is solid and works well when using flex mode. You'll love it.

I absolutely LOVE THIS PHONE for YouTube, video calls, reading, drawing, editing, social media's, research, and gaming when the game allows the big screen. Only issue I've run into is games not being compatible with the big screen, but I just close it and the problem is solved. The keyboard is great on the big screen, just not for swype text. Lol. The pen is super cool as well, really helps pinpoint the places you're trying to click or when you're trying to draw! The camera is a tad slow/comes out blurry if you move too quickly and I do wish the pen was easier for write-to-text, but not deal-breakers. Honestly, both are very useful and enjoyable.

Impressive device with good speed and solid feel to the hand, the Galacy Fold 5 does a nice job of being a foldable. There are two things it lacks: the camera lags flagships, and frequently apps and web pages are not optimized to take advantage of the stunning interior display.
This device is great for business travelers who want to be more productive without a full tablet, but not durable enough and too expensive for students. The interior screen should be carefully handled, and is a major fingerprint magnet-- it is impossible to keep clean.
Still, I enjoy it and look forward to future generations of the fold fixing these shortcomings.

I've been using the galaxy Z fold 5 since the 8th so a few days earlier from the release day. So far I feel like I'm loving this phone. Keep in mind I'm coming from the note 20 ultra 5g. I've been holding out on upgrading to get something in a different form factor than the candy bar style. Honestly it's still taking some serious getting used to. It's slightly slimmer than I'd like and though I've gotten used to the crease I think those are things that should be improved. Saying that, for what it is its amazing. So many options, so many features and while lots of them world be considered gimmicks of rather have them to use as I see fit than not

The samsung galaxy fold 5 is a great feeling and looking designed phone that's good. I wish it had a s pen in the device like the s24 that's bad.

All the photos I've taken on my fold 5 look so vivid and sharp that is so good.
The under display camera not the best photos that is bad.
The phone is an amazing buy over all from it's folding display that makes it feel like a tablet and lets you enjoy a show in a bigger screen, the battery that last all day or just how good the AI is and is going to get.

Overall, though, the Fold 5 comes out just ahead. It’s meaningfully lighter, which makes a difference when you’re using it folded for long periods of time. There are more multitasking options and ways to take advantage of that big inner screen, and battery life is better. Those aren’t huge differences, but they’re important ones when you’re talking about a folding phone you’ll want to get the most out of.
Samsung may still have the lead in the foldable race, but the gap is closing. If it wants to stay ahead, it’ll have to do more next year than just nip a few millimeters and pop in a new chipset. For now, though, that’s just enough.

I honestly love the galaxy fold 5 for everything definitely gaming and organizing my day to day life like schedules things to do weather gps places to eat exc..my favorite is gaming and movies oh the screen looks sooooo beautiful 😍 when gaming and watching things the multi tasking is another love for me I like the phone overall...But the one thing I don't like and would love you guys to change is the outer screen I can't text at all my fingers a big so I have to open my phone to text im always hitting other letters....othe then that the phone is wonderful and I love it....just please make I larger outer screen for the next one 😊😁....

This phone is very reliable! I'm a student and would use my phone for school throughout the day. The battery lasts me from 6 in the morning all the way till the time I sleep. I rarely have to charge it unless I use excessively. The big screen is also a great benefit! I can do all my school work on a nice screen that is bright and smooth, very reliable for entertainment as well. The phone runs games smoothly and the quality is great! While using the phone, the seamless actions across the apps it's amazing. 120hz screen is literally the best thing ever. I'm also a tik tok addict so this phone makes the experience 100 times better and more enjoyable.

Now when I first received my zfold5 it was wonderful. I could not have a better experience with a phone. As time went by I found a few issues. Some apps will not function properly on the fold. They constantly crash or do not get sized properly. The folds speakers are quieter than most phones and seeming how the phone has dual speakers it should be a little louder. This phone has overall been a wonderful experience apart from the bugs it has every now and then. Most the time they get fixed right away or they stay or get worse. But I overall would recommend this phone to somebody who's constantly on their phone to give them a better surfing experience

After my first z fold Experience I fell in love with all of the phones. Features the ability to make the screen bigger.
Looking at videos, movies, complete and documents. Also gaming experience on the fold is astonishing. I started with the fold3 And quickly fell in love with the franchise. I've been with Samsung products.
Since the Galaxy back in 2009. I've always love the way the phone's felt.
The Way the phone functions and how you can customize it. I've gotten big into samsung pay. Is hard to see myself going towards a different phone after having the fold. But I know Samsung will release and even better version of the fold or the rolling edge.

I use my device for gaming, multitasking and taking amazing photos. when it comes down to taking family photos I prop my zfold 5 on a flat surface, have one of my family members stick their hand out and we all get ready for the perfect shot! When it comes to playing call of duty I have so much screen like no other especially with the processing speeds I get I haven't touched my pc. I enjoy every aspect of this device and I cannot wait to see what the newest features that are coming with security updates. This new Andriod system is designed for us users that like to do more. 10 out of 10 for functionality, performance, durability and personalization.

I use the phone mainly for browsing social media, messaging friends, and watching videos.
I also take pictures and videos, but for some reasons, the pictures I take using this compared to the S21 seemed more grainy. I tried messing around with the settings and cleaning the cameras and it didn't seem to make a difference.
Other than that, I love being able to hold the phone like I'm holding a camcorder. I also love how this flip phone can fit into my pockets when folded and the fact that the fingerprint scanner is on the side where my thumb normally rests. I can easily unlock my phone. I just wish that more apps can support face ID.

I’m delighted with this product, it’s replaced both my phone and my tablet. Being able to split the screen to use 2 apps at once is a game changer. It is a bit heavy but that’s to be expected. The quality of the screen and the photos is amazing, I’m really happy with it. I don’t think I’ll want to go back to a non folding phone again, having that big clear screen is amazing. The phone itself has also nice and clear sound. It pairs well with my Samsung watch and as a pair they’ve replaced all my other products. I’ve started to use the phone over my tv for watching YouTube as it’s so clear, and being able to split the screen is a dream.

I recieved this and opened at once and straight out off the box the phone look quality,I done a quick boot up and transferred all off my data from my old phone which was very easy to do ,The screens are brilliant they very vibrant and clear , when the phone is unfolded it revels a massive screen I love this idea , this phone is heavier than my old phone but only slightly , I have played Fortnite and a few other games which is great to play on I have watched a movie which is also fantastic .The camera is very sharp and easy to use the sound is amazing from the speakers and very clear , all in all 256gb off storage this is a great phone

I love the zfold5. I bought it to avoid having a cell phone and a tablet for reading and other big screen stuff like working on documents or perusing the news.
I anticipate that the Galaxy AI will provide shortcuts to information I am seeking. Often, I'll look for something that I'm interested in and I'll receive various results. Some results are pertinent others not even close. Galaxy AI summarizes what it believes is the most likely answer while presenting other possibilities.
I have not begun to explore the possibilities that Galaxy AI offers. I love the big screen. I don't think that I will ever return to a single sided screen.

This phone is great for multitasking, when I'm ok the internet browsing something and then I want to see something I can put a small window in the corner and then another window in the other side I can eventually have 4 windows in the phone. I love that I can see my videos in a much bigger screen and the when I'm done I can fold it and be on my way. Having the function of a small tablet and then a phone in the go is priceless. I love that I can see myself in the screen when taking a selfie. Also the fact that it's really fast, the apps below the screen open up really quick. If you want a really nice phone that turns head this is it.

I replaced my Galaxy S21 with the Galaxy fold 5 recently.
Although, there was a noticeable increase in processing time amongst other gains like memory, some aspects were compromised.
The front screen landscape appears to not be as forgiving when it comes to speed texting. Especially, if you have larger fingers! I often find myself mis keying in characters.
The rear cameras aren't as feature robust as on other current flagship models. I've been told this was due space limitations involved with the fold design.
All in all, I would recommend purchasing the Fold 5 for now but, I believe future generations will prove to be more useful.

I use my phone for everything, and I've always had a Samsung because of the freedoms of what you can do. The Z Fold series is even more free, and I'm always a fan of a huge screen. It's great to watch YouTube on and use other apps for the big screen experience. And even the smaller screen on the outside is super convenient. I love bigger phones, and I always had the biggest size available for a series. However, carrying around a big phone is like carrying around a brick. When the Z Fold is folded, it's small and slick. And after having this phone for a while, you really can't go back to a regular phone. To me, it is worth the price.

I upgraded from the s22 to the z fold 5. I adore the fold feature that can turn into a tablet like based so I can do more stuff on the go that fit in my pocket. I'm always on the go; traveling. The photos and videos are amazing. I love the feature where I can maximize quality of the photos when I'm editing it. Object eraser comes in handy. I love the customization the z fold offers. I love how I'm able to do things I didn't knew was possible on the phone. I'm glad that I got this phone. I'm love to watch movies/shows on the go on the phone. Some friends/family/Co-workers love the color, the design, etc. No doubt this phone is great.

I love my Galaxy Fold5. But, I want to absolutely love it, and, I don't. The main problem I have with it is the front screen is just too narrow and sometimes it's hard to swipe when having my screen protector on. I overlook this minor nuisance to thoroughly enjoy all it's other features. Especially, how the phone folds open to become a larger screen. It's still so cool every time I open it.
I was late to the Galaxy Fold party. I got mine last October, and I'm already counting down the days, to when I can upgrade this October to the Fold6. I've heard nothing but good things about the new Fold6. Hopefully, I can experience it sooner, rather than later.

My Z Fold 5 from Samsung has been the greatest phone experience I have ever had. Seamless action across apps and between screens makes navigation easy. The phone is great for viewing videos, allowing for multiple angles, sizes, and plenty of space for comment sections or other on-screen enhancements. This is the only phone I can use for gaming in general, especially games that require on-screen controls akin to a gaming controller. The folding screen is durable and the included screen protection is long lasting, over a year old and still holding strong. I highly recommend this device, in particular as a cheaper alternative to the newest folding device.

This phone has been put through some pain, lol! I've dropped it on concrete, in water, and even ran over it with a forklift at work (by accident of course) and it has still managed to survive. I do have a few cracks in the corner of the screen from my mishandling stated above. But this thing is a beast. I have plenty of storage space despite all of the photos I take at work and when I'm hiking and stuff. I want to upgrade to the next model this one has served me so well I can't replace it just yet. KUDOS, Samsung, for making an absolute powerhouse of a phone! I know I can expect the same quality from your products (I have the buds too) as always. Thanks

I previously owned the Z Fold4 and switched to the Z Fold 5. The phone feels almost the same as the 4. Battery life is better and slimmer because of the changed hinge.
Pros:
I prefer the slimmer hinge and like how it folds flat. That extra few millimeters make a difference when you have it in your pocket.
New snapdragon processor helps with battery life. Definitely lasts longer than the Z Fold4.
Great new color. Got Icy Blue. This color gives the phone a pop.
Cons:
No upgrades to cameras. When are we getting S23 Ultra flagship cameras on the fold?
The front screen is still too narrow.
S-pen still doesn't work on the front screen.

It's hard finding a case that will stay on this phone and last no matter if it's expensive one or the cheap One cases are the issue for this phone cuz they break it's hard going from the front screen opening the phone to the big screen most the time it stays small games don't adapt to the big screen it seems laggy it's hard to type on the front versus the big screen when you open it a lot of my features don't work half the time and with getting this phone I used to always have good service now I struggle to have service video play playing games all that works fine if the game should work and if it should adapt to your bigger screen

Until Samsung comes out with holographic display, (like in Star Wars) the fold is the device to beat. The unfoldable screen was enough to draw me in. I've loved every second of using it. Its a mini laptop in my hands...I put in my earbuds and I am immersed in my own little theater set-up. The battery life with a super charger is superb. Last but not least, I'm starting to wonder if it's indestructible 😅 because I have dropped it more times than I'd like to admit. All in all, this phone has convinced me to stick around with Samsung. Yes, I'm along for the ride, and I'm excited to see what innovating features they bring next.

I got my galaxy fold 5 a week ago and wasn't too sure how I felt about it at first. Now I love it and honestly don't think I could go back to a normal phone. I have always been cautious with foldables due to them being more fragile then normal phones however I was never more wrong. This phone has been awesome and the new hinge design has made this phone more durable then ever whilst also being amazingly slim. The phone is really light in my hands and slim in my hands with it being perfect to use in phone mode or tablet mode. This is also the fastest phone I have ever used with its new chip being really fast and amazing on battery.

The folding feature was nice, until the screen protector started peeling off after a month.
You have to keep the hinge clean by blowing on it or you will hear debris cracking in the phone.
Wish it had an integrated S-Pen.
Battery life when using the wide screen is atrocious. Basically end up using 1%per minute when watching videos.
The phone was very heavy, and the hinge was very brittle
There were no good cases to protect the phone.
I also had Never-ending formatting issues with apps, as this phone is not really made for most apps.
It was really cool to own and once they fix those issues I would get another folding phone

The first couple or few versions of the Fold series left much to be desired in terms of actually being ready for market. But the Fold 5 has done nearly everything right this time, including Galaxy AI, which is built In!
The larger unfolded screen is an on-demand tablet, GREAT for games. Even social media is better on this device. Being able to open up to a bigger screen to see photos better without having to zoom in.
Only complaint is the inner screen has already gotten a dead and unresponsive group of pixels right in the Fold. I've had this phone for about 4 months and I open it up the other day and it was messed up like this.

I have owned a lot Samsung products and the fold series has been my favorite as my go to phone. From the first fold series to now owning the fold 5, I have been impressed with how many features Samsung packs into their devices.
The fold 5 has provided me a feature rich experience from the exceptional cameras to the battery life. I can always count on my phone for any day to day tasks.
This device is solid and definitely stands up to its name. It folds and it's durable "dropped it 7 separate times and no broken screen", Samsung products provide you more than what you'll ever need and they always give you more. It's like the gift that keeps on giving.

I use my Z Fold 5 to play and work. It is great to literally have an all in one device. Stream movies or listen to music, tackle an important work schedule and / or projects, or both at the same time. Versatile for every situation on the go or stationary using flex mode! Using flex mode adds so much fun when shooting photos or videos. Communication is key with any phone, but with the Z Fold 5, I can be on a call with family whilst emailing or texting friends and co-workers all at once. Games are a blast on the main display, with so much real estate to use, the fun never ends. There's so much more I can say,try one for yourself you won't be disappointed!

I really enjoy having a tablet in my pocket. Once you get a fold, it's hard to go back to a normal phone. My biggest gripe though is that when the screen protector for the inner screen starts to peel off, it will damage the inner screen, creating a big black line and also making it unusable. All of my folds ended this way. If you don't pay for the Samsung Protection +, it will be a lot to get fixed. Besides that, I enjoy the big screen and being able to use multiple apps at once. The small screen does take some time to get used to, but you will easily adjust after some time. It is my go to screen unless I'm streaming media or using multiple apps at once.

I bought this phone so I could use the large display when I show houses. It certainly gets the job done. The only Galaxy AI part that I used was the circle to search. It works most of the time. Multitasking on the fold is a breeze. I can have multiple apps open with no lag. I do wish the would give the Fold the best camera though. The camera on my Note 20 Ultra was better. They also need to step up to the times and start including Qi2 on all phones. And stop making the exterior so slippery! Other than that, it is a challenge finding decent cases for the Folds, but durability hasn't been a issue for me. I can imagine going back to a slab phone after this.

I love this phone.
Every time I am in public and open my Fold 5 everyone stops and looks. Most ask me ,"what is that" I tell them, the best phone ever period. The Fold 5 is super fast with games, surfing, downloading, whatever. I work tech from home and I had a PC failure. I was able to hook my fold 5 to a monitor using the DEX app. I connected my Bluetooth keyboard and this phone did everything my PC did. The latest AI update is a blast. Just draw a circle around whatever and AI will find what it is. Not to mention all the AI keyboard enhancements. This phone just knows what you are trying to do and flows with you. It just works

Using my device with Galaxy AI is great. I am able to change certain features and it makes understanding webpages for research easier to understand by summing it all up.
I use my Samsung device for more than talking. I use it for school projects on Word, Power point, Excel, Canva, etc. I can always continue where I left off on my laptop on my phone. When im not doing those mentioned above, I catch up on my tv shows and movies via streaming.
The feature I love is the photo editor. Many things you can do to a photo is unreal. From removing them from the background to making them stand alone. Plus, the cartoon effect.

I was a skeptic when I seen the first z fold but then I was accidentally sent the new one instead of the galaxy s23 I was sooo FURIOUS I sent it back for my s23 my son played on the fold a bit before I returned it and begggged me for one so I did I got him one well I have a disappointed child that now has a s23 while I have the zfold this phone does things you couldn't even imagine the camera on this is just as good if not better then my 45 megapixel nikon I didn't think the hinge would hold up to dirt or dust but there hasn't been one issue. Even the battery last forever. I don't think I can say anything negative about this phone. I absolutely LOVE it !!

This new Fold is packed with features and has made my tablet obsolete! I love the form factor. Using the outside screen for regular phone tasks and unfolding to the inner screen for multi tasking with the s pen is quick and responsive. I really like having two to three apps open at once to copy and paste between forms and work documents.
Entertainment is also a lot of fun with this phone. Watching YouTube videos is amazing! Reading emails and scanning social media is truly a joy! Composing emails and adjusting Microsoft documents is easier than on my laptop.
Obviously, the phone works great and the cameras do a fine job! I really enjoy this phone!

The ability to have multiple applications with audio playing has been extremely valuable to me as i watch my favorite streamers and youtubers simultaneously.. this device allows me to watch 3 of them at once on the same screen and i love it... the only complaint i have is there isnt much accessories for this device such as a variety of cases but hopefully that changes in the future.. the galaxy ai that just released has been very helpful especially when watching youtube videos and they have an item id like to know what it is or a show id like to see.. it allows me to use that ai to look up that specific item simply by drawing a circle around it on my screen

I have been using Samsung mobiles for the past 15 years, and recently I bought the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. It has been excellent for my office work, especially for checking and replying to emails, as well as viewing spreadsheets and PDF documents. The larger screen makes it ideal for reading PDF articles, and watching YouTube videos is a great experience due to the bigger display. The sound quality is also really impressive, which enhances the overall media experience. Additionally, listening to music and viewing photos is fantastic. I really like this phone—it has made my life much easier. I wish the best to Samsung.

Been amazing coming from a non foldable phone it's been very nice. Especially being able to multi task and watch movies on a bigger screen when I want too. The processor is definitely amazing. I would say it's fast for what I use a phone for.
The screen is amazing but there are points where I can see the crease. It's not bad when watching movies or anything but it is visible at certain angles but still fine. The outside screen is good, I can personally use the out screen with one hand if needed. That's the main screen anyone will use and it's good. Cameras are good, it's lighter then I excepted. Definitely get a case for it

The good: the Fold 5 feels extremely refined and well-constructed. Most of the early concerns about foldable phones, such as whether the screen can handle being opened and closed 100 times a day for years, or if the hinge with moving parts will malfunction, seem total paranoia now. The Fold 5 is built like a tank, and all the moving parts feel rock solid. The hinge is precise and sturdy, able to stay in place at any angle, and either snaps open or closes shut with a satisfying snap. There’s nothing about this phone that makes me feel like I need to be gentle with it. The Fold 5 feels like the final form of a piece of hardware Samsung first introduced in 2020

I switched to the fold 5 because i wanted a larger screen but still be able to keep it in my pocket for my work, it makes it easier to read blueprints and draw on them but I do wish it came with a pen like the note or the new S series plus the Galaxy AI makes it really easy to look things up when you cant remember the name of something you just point your camera and ask the AI to identify it, it's quite useful, if they make one with another with a pen as well I would love it even more or if it opened up even more with approximately same closed dimensions that would be amazing, but overall all I love it, can't wait to see how they improve the next generation.

Coming from the Google pixel 7pro this was a big leap. Coming back to the ecosystem with the z fold 5 has been amazing. The bigger inner screen has helped with my eyesight. The battery lasts me over a full day without needing to charge. Only downside I have is the lack of an S-pen included. Unless you buy the s-pen case or just the s pen separately you won't have it. Although I find myself not really reaching for it very often. The build quality was something I was afraid of, being a folding phone and what not, I find it very sturdy and rigid. If your looking for a new tablet style device the z fold 5 is what your looking for.

You definitely need a case for the phone. Because it does seem pretty fragile. The center does crack if you don't have a screen protector on it. The screen protectors are really good, and they last about three or four months, but they're really cheap to replace, so it's better to do that than you have the fold part of this green start cracking.

I love this phone. I open and use the big screen to stream and play games. The Galaxy AI is helpful when trying to search for things. It's a super fast super smart phone. Finding everything is super easy and the storage compacity is phenomenal. The only downside is you open an app with the phone fully open and the close the phone you have to restart the app. Sound quality has been great and have had no issues with the internet or wifi connections. I have always had samsung phones because I love the brand. I hope they continue to improve on the Galaxy AI. Also being able to unlock my phone with my fingerprint is a nice option.

This is my first time owning a Galaxy fold. I decided to wait a few generations and keep up with reviews as they develop new ones. The Galaxy 5 fold caught my attention. I upgraded from a Samsung 22 ultra. The 5 fold is amazing. You have plenty of finger room for typing. You can also purchase a Bluetooth keyboard for more of a hands-on. This is a phone that can transform into a mini pad,a tv, a computer. What ever you decide to use it for. The only thing lacking is a better battery up grade and a better pixel camera. Other than that, you have everything you need at the tip of your finger and palms of your hand. Go for it! What're waiting for? You can dooo it!

The Fold5 is great. Small tablet that can go anywhere is something that used to sound science fiction is, while not quite perfected, very well designed in this case. The phone is powerful and has worked out most of the few bugs I'd dealt with in the Fold2, such a nearly every app is able to stay open if the phone is on the small outer screen or the larger inner screen. It also handles dual app use on the larger screen very well, which is very useful at times.
One of my only complaints is that the Fold5 does not yet allow for S-pen use on both screens. A minor gripe overall, but something I hope is resolved in the future.

I've owned the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 for just over a year now. I don't think I'd ever go back to a small screen again. I also have a Samsung Galaxy Watch that allows me to answer calls, read and respond to text messages, control my audio that also runs through my phone. The seamless transition between the two are Incredible. You can keep your awesome, large screen phone in your pocket and answer almost any type of call. After owning both, I feel like I'm spoiled because everything I try to do is very simple to accomplish. I wouldn't go with anything else. As a matter of fact, I'm going to be upgrading to the Fold 6 this week.

At first I picked the Fold5 just to test not expecting to like it. I've been a note user since the Note 2 . But after a little while I got used to this fold and now honestly love it. The little screen still I feel a little too little it could be wider but I understand the decision. Now when you open it up the big full screen is so useful to create and work on Excel documents and read books for the files. As far as watching videos and doing social media it's not the best but for me it doesn't matter. I feel that this phone is geared to certain people with certain needs it's not for everyone but if it's my needs so far I do hope they continue to improve upon it.

I have had my Z Fold5 for almost 2 weeks now and life has never been the same coming from my old S10. I love the picture quality that is magnificent at any time of the day. The scan feature when taking a picture of any document is so convenient. The fold function and design into a mini tab makes the viewing and navigating so much easier and can read a book or document so effortless. The sound production either making voice calls or just listening to anything using the phone speakers is second to none. The battery appears to last a fairly good amount time, at the moment based on my usage. I would recommend anyone seeking a value for money gadget to give it a go.

I was nervous as this was my first Fold. I always had Notes. I'm in love. My Dad has vision problems so being able to open it up to the larger screen to show him pictures has been a game changer. The bigger screen also makes working in spreadsheets easier. One of the programs I use at work is much easier on the larger screen as well. The front screen, when folded closed, is plenty big enough for routine use like writing this review or texting. I'm just starting to explore the functionality of the "Galaxy AI" Honestly, things like predictive text were pretty robust before. The cameras on this phone are so wonderful!

I adore this device. I've been a Samsung guy for awhile now. I'd always wanted a fold and the 5 was the perfect place to start. I upgraded from my S21U and don't regret a thing, even though the S21U was outstanding. The fold fills areas and functions in my life I didn't know I needed. I know some complain about the cover screen, but I'm using it to type this with zero mistakes. I love being able to switch from a narrow and compact perspective that's by far the best in hand feel I've ever had, to the tablet that's huge but still comfortably fits in a single hand if I need too. I hope the rumors of a fold ultra are true, I'll be getting that next. Thanks Samsung!

This phone has the perfect amount of memory and storage.
Love the fact that you can have 2 different phone numbers on this device. Using a sim-card or or e-sim.
The E-sim is easy to use and you don't have to remove your case to change it out at all witch is the best thing I like about the e-sim.
You can use 2 apps at the same time witch is really great so that you don't have to keep closing one and open a new one like if u need your camera open and internet at the same time to take and upload pictures without having to sign back in.
The S-pen is amazing too allowing copy and paste much easier than using your finger.

The phone works amazing. The cellular antenna picks up carrier service when other devices don't, it can process full games without lag or glitching, both inner and outer screens never have any problems, the speakers work very well, and the outer casing is very durable. My only concerns would be that the hinge seems sensitive (I have had to file warranty once for screen damage due to the hinge breaking internally), the camera is fairly bad, and the keyboard on the front screen is fairly hard to use. You can use slide text, but most of the predictive words it comes up with are wrong initially. Otherwise, it's a great device.

The ZFold has not only operated for me in the since of normal telephonic conversations but has also operated as my secretary, my home away home television, instant entertainment for my grandchildren but mainly for the many, many uses while shopping or traveling.
Ironically, I purchased my phone after I saw that my youngest sibling had hers she I fell in love instantly. What's funny is that the eldest daughter under me saw our phones and immediately purchased hers. We can now say, it's a family thing. Después de tener las dos versiones anteriores, por fin el cambio de modelo merece la pena. Fotos decentes, por fin, gracias al nuevo procesador.
También mejora en la autonomía, muy necesaria, gracias también al nuevo procesador.
Y el pliegue completo de la pantalla por fin hace ganar doblemente, por un lado, mucho más ligero en el bolsillo y en la mano, sensación de teléfono cómodo, y por otro, la suciedad en la pantalla interior se redujo de forma exponencial... abrir un fold 3 o 4 era siempre tener la pantalla sucia llena de polvo. Ahora en el 5 se ensucia... pero muchísimo menos, gracias al cierre completo de las dos pantallas.

Z fold 5 owner here.
I had my doubts when I first purchased the device, but once I settled into it I quickly realized that I no longer needed to carry a tablet for streaming content.
I use my Z fold 5 non stop all day for everything like navigatiion to podcast and just playing some tunes while at work.
The camera is amazing and capturing videos is easy as pie with a simple double click on the buttons.
Battery life is ridiculous. The phone will last me a day and half easily with non stop usage.
I would recommend a Samsung device to anyone looking to upgrade and can't wait for my Z fold 5 to get an update so I can get the full AI experience baked into the OS.

The idea of a foldable phone was so crazy to me. Bendable glass? I'm still unsure what this hinge on my Z Fold 5 is made of, but it's amazing. It allows for a wider screen when unfolded, for multiple apps or just using one app that's easier on the eyes. Gaming on this this phone has been great as well, which will only get better once a wider range of games format themselves to work on the Fold as well.
My only issues with this phone would be the (1) interchanging of unfolded to folded and vice versa, most apps crash in doing this and (2) the outer screen itself, the folded form, is just too small and skinny to do anything

When I first got the fold it was amazing when you opened it big screen the color super vibrant but the one thing I did not like was using it when it's closed the front screen is too narrow so when you want to type and you have long nails it is so uncomfortable. And most of the time you're not going to be using the large screen when you're walking or if you're driving and you need to use your GPS so it was just not a fun experience when I had to use the main screen maybe if that screen was whiter I think it would have made the phone perfect. I had that phone for about 4 or 5 months and then I switched back to the s 24 ultra

The main feature of this phone is its foldable screen, it's great for dividing apps like watching videos and writing documents. Or drawing on a big screen, or watching 4:3 videos which fit great on this screen as well as gaming. I really like flipping from the front main screen to the foldable screen seamlessly with all the apps.
The only negative aspect of this phone is that it is a bit more fragile than a normal phone, in that it recently fell on to my carpet from a table, and the impact caused the front main screen to stop working. I think some sort of cable has been disconnected and I need take it to get it repaired. Other than that I really like this phone.

I'm on my phone most of the day for work. My Battery lasts until ~4PM before I have to charge which is great. Screen size is large which allows me to do multiple things. On top of that, multiple apps open is great. I'm always playing two copies of a game at the same time, or two different apps. The phone does slow down if you are doing two demanding things at once, but I was able to have 3 copies of Pokémon Go open at once and can do a raid alone. Going to be honest, I miss my S23 some days, but only in size since I almost always use in open screen. Would highly reccomend a fold for anyone who is considering a fold phone.

I have always been a Samsung fan and the new Galaxy Fold Only confirms this. I love this phone. It is like a mini tablet. The screen size is great, and you have the option to open the phone and make it larger. This is perfect for watching movies or editing documents.
The battery life is good. The camera is amazing. The quality of the pictures are professional-like.
The only downside is the inside screen. After a while, the screen begins to buckle and it becomes difficult to use. Its not a total deal breaker but I wish I knew this. You figure you are making a huge investment in buying a phone....it's like a mortgage payment.
The positives out weigh the negatives.

The samsung galaxy z fold 5 is a notable upgrade from its predecessor. It has great design and display, performance with the latest snapdragon is capable of handling anything you throw at it, the hard drive at 512gb is so big storage is not a problem, IMO the camera is good but not as great as the s23, and if you can get the phone on sale it is a bargain. The mini tablet has been my predominant usage both when driving (waze) and work and play. This is a must and I hope samsung continues to improve and deliver on this very capable phone. Looking forward to software companies delivering and maximizing all of its features!!

it is my first foldable phone. I have had few android phones in the past, samsung phones as well, but I always went back to apple and ios after a short while of owning them. Even when I had the legendary s23 ultra, I sold it for an iphone few months later. Now after owning a z fold 5, I can't see myself going to a normal phone again. I love having a tablet in my pocket all the time. It is not perfect, I would have wanted a slightly bigger front screen, some few glitches, but overall, I love it and No one could convince me to go back to any normal phone or iphone.
Looking forwards to the zfold 6 and I hope they increase the front screen size as it will be perfect.
I recommended this product.

I am so glad that I got an opportunity to own the phone. It is so light and easy to hold. Samsung has done some excellent work here to support tablet-style operations. Samsung is locked into a tremendous and still evolving foldable design. Samsung should have included the plug, S-Pen, and earphones. It charges quickly and the battery lasts longer even if you listen to music. The cover display is bigger and better and the main screen is great, despite the still obvious crease. Playing games has been fun with the foldable option. But when not folded the screen is small so needed lots of settings changes to view it better.

I bought this two days ago. Very disappointing that the S Pen does not come standard, and the one that comes with the Samsung case has LESS functionality than the S Pen for my S22 Ultra! You cannot use the S Pen to take a photo and it only works on the main screen! Its also extremely disappointing that the camera on the Z Fold 5 is LESS than the camera on the S 22 Ultra. There are few customizations that are available for the Fold 5. When you consider the price tag is almost $500 more than the Ultra, the value is not there and the phone isnt all that great. Not sure if Im gonna keep the phone for that price, but I have a few days left to use and discover it.

I've ran this phone over with my pickups rear tire(with case while closed) with no/very minor scratches only. It's fell out my shirt pocket onto paved asphalt from me standing on the bed of a worktruck with no case. Still the fold 5 opens silently, screens are still buffed to perfection with a cloth. I've had 5 screens open on my screen and a movie cast to my TV with almost no reduction in focused applications. I'm a longtime google user, and because of the fold 5, I'm finally expanding some services to samsung infrastructures. Does get hot, but easily cooled down. Cameras are great for everyday and the AI tech on board does anything else I need. I can't go back.

I've never owned a foldable phone prior to this one. I was very hesitant but I'm beyond happy I caved in. Easy to use with one hand, when folded. Both inner and outer displays are sharp, bright and very vibrant. Colors pop. Nothing looks muted. No lag from my personal experience. I use my phone (aside from the usual text and calls) for mostly streaming, social media and shopping. Sometimes simultaneously and the inner display is perfect for that. I'll have something streaming on the top left, social media on the bottom left, shopping app on the entire right side and it works flawlessly! Couldn't be happier with my phone.

I read alot of stories, watch videos/movies, and play alot of games on my phone. I can switch between the front screen or open phone up for a bigger screen like a tablet. It helps out when my eyes get tired and they cannot focus on the smaller screen. Also, I use my calendar to put in my families appointments. All I have to do is tell Bixby to save the appointment or reminder for me without even opening that app. Video calling is way better when phone is open too. You can't really see the fold in the middle either. You can multitasking when screen is open also, have email open on 1 side and another while your on call/video on other side. So cool. Love this phone!!

I moved up from a Fold 3 to a 5 because of the HUGE incentive I got and I don't regret it at all!!! The two biggest improvements over the 5 are the dip in the large screen is greatly reduced and the slightly larger outer screen. Since my Fold 3 was almost 2yrs old the battery was really sucking wind and always needed to be charged. The 5 seems to have a much better battery life so far.
Lastly, the camera is far superior to the 3 so I'm very happy about that too!!!
No issues with the built in screen protector on the folding screen like I had with the 3!! On the 3 the screen protector failed TWICE!!!

Purchased when this initially came out.
Overall, definitely improved compared to last model or before. Tighter gap in the middle when closed is impressive.
Nothing really there to complain other than the heavyness and app compatibility.
Because of odd ratio, sometimes app would not display properly. Major apps work fine most of the time.
I was using Fold 3 before this. Fold 5 is lighter than 3 but obviously still heavier than other flat phone.
Sturdy phone, great camera (not the best in the market but great enough for everyday photography), holds the battery well so far, and no damage on any of the screen
Galaxy pen housing function would be nice.
I recommended this product.

I have been with Samsung since 2012, and I've never strayed once! I never regret a purchase, and that stays true with the new Z Fold 5. It's my first foldable, and I love it. The ease for one handed access with the front display is amazing for quick use. Text really quick, check an email, and search something, make a call- all fantastic. The inner display is golden. It's like having a more accessible tablet. I love reading my books and manga on it, and streaming is great! The speakers are crisp and needless to say, I LOVE the cameras. All three work super well! I'm super happy and will always recommend it!! Even my casual gaming is impressive. 5 out of 5 as always!

The screen is nice and bright, the touch display is super responsive, the snapdragon chip is super quick... all round first impressions coming from a note9 is how quick and responsive it is. The foldable screen is truly amazing technology! As for the negative aspects the number one is no SD card expansion slot.... for heavens sake the Sim card tray is almost as big as my old note 9's. It could easily fit a SD card. Also where is the s pin at? Why is it not integrated into the phone???? This thing and a spen are a no Brainer, yet it's treated like a red headed step child, haphazardly bolted on to the side. Kinda weird design choices. But a great phone none the less!

I love my new z fold 5 but there are 3 things missing (all stemming from the s pen)
1. A bluetooth s pen for foldables. I got the slim case bc I wanted the s pen but it's not bluetooth. The only other portion is to get the S pen Pro but that is inconvenient since there is no where to store with the phone (like in the phone case or in the phone)
bc it's so large. I've used s pens for over a decade. I have had every Note series and every S series (except s23) and I miss the gestures and camera operation.

I was an avid Note user, dedicated to my android products. This product does a lot for such a small device. Multitasking g with the multiple windows has Eben a game changer for me. I usually have at least 2 screen open the majority of the time using this phone.
The set-up and overall user interface has been very pleasant and quick to get use to. Throught my time, I've tweaked certain settings for my particular style, but I'm just glad those settings where there.
The phone is lightweight and feels comfortable In the hands when closed but feels like a tablet with so much workspace when opened.
