While you can, we suggest you wipe and keep your device dry for a time before charging.

If the device gets wet after getting out the water , Please wipe the device smoothly with a clean, soft cloth to dry the device.

Your phone may display a moisture warning message. If this message is displayed, please remove the charging cable and wait for the port to dry. Do not insert any foreign objects into the charging port as this can cause damage. If the message does not go away after some time. Please see What can I do to remove the moisture detected notification?

Once the device has dried, try to charge. Additionally, because unapproved chargers or cables made lead to damage to the battery, accessory or device, Samsung recommends the use of only Samsung–approved Batteries in conjunction with the charger, USB-cable supplied with your device.

Note: Only a limited number of devices are water resistant. Please refer to your phone's owners manual for more information.
