Can I still charge my handset if its multipurpose connector gets wet?

While you can, we suggest you wipe and keep your device dry for a time before charging.


Your phone may display a moisture warning message. If this message is displayed, please remove the charging cable and wait for the port to dry. Do not insert any foreign objects into the charging port as this can cause damage.

If the message does not go away after some time. Please power your phone fully off and back on.


We also recommend the use of Samsung-approved batteries, charger, and USB-cable supplied with the device. Unapproved chargers or cables can damage the device, battery, or accessory.


Note: Only a limited number of devices are water resistant. Please refer to your phone's owners manual for more information.
