My Galaxy device is not fast charging. How do I fix it?

Last Update date : May 24. 2023

The latest Galaxy mobile devices are equipped with both cable and wireless charging modes. This comprehensive guide will show you how to enable these features, so you can take advantage of faster charging for your Galaxy device.

We provide various fast charging options depending on your device and adapter. You can select either cable or wireless.

For cable fast charging, there are three types: Adaptive Fast Charging (max 15W), Super Fast Charging (max 25W), and Super Fast Charging 2.0 (max 45W).

There are two types for wireless fast charging: Fast Charge 1.0 (max 9W) and Fast Charge 2.0 (max 15W).

Note:

  • It's highly recommended to use Samsung authorized adapters and cables for optimal performance and safety.
  • Fast charging of your Galaxy device may vary depending on device model and condition of the adapter or cable.
  • To check if your device supports fast charging, check the enclosed manual or relevant product information on samsung.com when purchasing the product.

➊ Go to "Settings", then tap "Battery and device care"

➋ Tap “Battery”

➌ Tap “More battery settings”

➍ Tap the switch to activate "Fast charging", "Super fast charging" or "Fast wireless charging"
