[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Despite the lack of S pen capability the changes from my Z Fold 6. The material improvements in form factors are noticeable (thinner lighter hinge opening, crease...). The camera performance is an obviously improvement. Everything else is a incremental improvement. I would normally upgrade primary phone every three years (Z fold 3 still works fine but feels like a brick compared to Z Fold 6) but the upgraded form and cameras had me have a look at the Z Fold 8. Whist I miss the S Pen, it's not a productive killer for me. The Z Fold 8 upgrade was worth bringing my upgrade forward. After 2 months it's a keeper (may retire the Z Fold 3 :-) ).

The display is the star — unfolded, it's big enough that I can actually read documents, review code and edit spreadsheets properly rather than squinting. Responsiveness is excellent; apps open instantly and switching between folded and unfolded is seamless with no lag. The hinge feels reassuringly solid and closes flat with no gap, and the overall durability has impressed me — it's been in and out of my bag daily and still looks new. Battery life easily sees me through a full day of heavy use, including travel days with maps and photos. Highly recommend.

The Display is probably my favourite part, its big and bright and makes watching videos and multitasking much better. Performance is also really smooth, apps open fast and I havent noticed much lag so far. Battery life has been pretty good for me, although heavy use does drain it quicker like you would expect. The Hinge feels solid and the overall Durability seems good, but I still find myself being a bit careful with a foldable phone. Overall I like it a lot, especially for work and multitasking. Its expensive but if you actually use the big screen then I think it makes more sense.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Fold 8 Ultra for a week after upgrading from my S25 Ultra, and I am loving the multitasking capabilities of this phone. When it's folded, I actually enjoy the narrower aspect of the cover screen that doesn't feel too wide in my hand. When it's unfolded, I can use the screen real estate for productivity by having both email and calendar open side by side, or I can use it for watching sport and talking rubbish with my friends at the same time. Very happy with my first foldable, and I feel like this is going to have a similar effect on me as the first time I started using dual displays with my PC: can't go back to one screen now.

The Vodafone store even told me I was the first person to pick one up from them, which was pretty cool! The phone is incredibly fast and smooth, especially when multitasking. The camera has been a big improvement and takes great photos and videos. The crease is also much less noticeable. I’ve also been impressed with the AI capabilities. There are plenty of useful features that actually make everyday tasks easier rather than just feeling like a gimmick. I’m very happy with the upgrade, I've had the fold 1, 2, 5 and now the 8 ultra. This has been by far the best one!

Firstly, fingerprint and facial recognition is much improved on my old S24 Ultra. Love that it's on the side button and not the screen, where the protective screen interfered with it before. Camera is wonderful, as expected, love the flexibility of the larger screen when I want it, means I don't always have to find my glasses before reading a Message :) Managed to find a good case in the same dark green as the phone, although would have loved to be able to get this model in the Pistachio colour but, first world problems hey?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Came from the Fold7. I wasn't sure if the upgrade would be worth it, but despite how incremental it is, it makes for a far more complete device! The hinge mechanism is far smoother and easier to open. The screen brightness boost makes a big difference (as does the anti-reflective layer on the inner screen) and the ultra wide camera upped to 50px really does make for more detailed photos. The faster charging is great too, I really notice it when in a rush to top up (though the battery is lasting longer already, the extra MAh really help). Plus the Shadow Green colourway is gorgeous. My favourite colour anyway, so it was a no brainer!

Watching YouTube videos on a larger screen and playing a few mobile games on the big screen also helps with eye strains. However, as a nitpick, I do wish the front screen was a bit bigger. I understand it would cost more, which means I will need to pay more, but I wouldn't mind it if I also get a decently bigger screen on the front. I upgraded from the S24 Ultra, so I still need to get used to the smaller screen and smaller keyboard. For a guy with big-ish hands, the small keyboard does annoy me a bit. But I guess that's a skill issue😆

The battery is pretty long lasting, likley due to optimized OneUi9 and the silicon carbon battery. I can get 7-8 hours of real usage with this beast. 2. Cameras and videos are pretty good for a foldable device, I like the fact that I can use expert raw to customize some settings to get better quality results. 3. The galaxy AI features often come in handy for work and travels. The 7 year of promised updates also a great plus. 4. Some feedback for future improvements- improve the telephone lens for better zoom and night photography, make it dual physical nano sim instead of single sim.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as an upgrade to a previous Samsung fold, and this new Fold8 Ultra is a big improvement over older folds as soon as you pick it up! The folding mechanism seems more sturdy, the crease on the inner screen is basically non-existent during typical usage, and the phone is so light! It's amazing that this is so much more improved than other folding phones while being so slim and nice to hold and easy to read. I've been putting it through its paces with gaming a lot as well, and the battery has held strong and barely drains compared to previous models. This is a seriously good phone, and if you enjoyed previous folding phones - you'll love this one.

It is light enough to be like the normal phone I use previously but when you need a bigger screen for watching YouTube or multitasking you just have to unfold it. The AI function from galaxy phone is very good too, it works perfectly when i want to remove some of the background people or items. The camera has very high resolution, can zoom and take photo very clearly and the image colour is vibrant to my liking. Overall, a solid phone for me to use for my daily work and leisure. I look forward to using it daily and will encourage people to try the fold phone if they are still considering.

As this is my first foldable phone, there has definitely been a bit of a learning curve, but it's been a positive experience overall. The larger inner screen is fantastic for browsing, reading emails, multitasking and watching videos. The foldable design took a little time to get used to, but it's quickly become second nature. Performance has been excellent, and the battery life is good, I can get a day and half with normal usage. Which is better than my old phone. Overall, I'm very impressed and would recommend it to anyone considering their first foldable phone.

The large foldable screen is great for multitasking, browsing and watching videos, and the performance is smooth for everyday use. The design feels premium and there are plenty of useful features. However, considering the price, I expected a little more. The improvements don't feel significant enough compared with previous Fold models, and battery life could also be better. Overall, I'm happy with the phone, but I wouldn't consider it a major upgrade. I would recommend it if you're specifically looking for a premium foldable, but existing Fold users may want to consider whether the upgrade is worth the cost.

The responsiveness of the phone is impeccable and is extremely smooth, the new silicon carbon battery allows for your flagship battery life whilst making the phone slimmer, which shows in the crease now taking a huge visual decrease seen in other fold phones and also the hinge being smooth and durable to allow easy opening. I find when you are used to a certain size screen, it's hard to go smaller especially for the eyes. I love the way it feels and is a lot smoother on the keyboard. The battery last a long time too. I like that tbe screen lays completely flat, and the overall size when closed is a lot thinner than my old Z Fold which took up more space in my bag. So far using the phone, I have no issues. Happy with my purchase. I haven't used a lot of the AI functionality , so can't comment too much on that to give 5 *.

I saw the major improvement to front screen aspect ratio and thickness in the Z Fold 7 and was super keen. Z Fold 8 Ultra continued the upgrades and made the crease less noticeable so I immediately pre ordered. Been using it for 2 weeks now and even my partner, who's using a non-android device (iykyk) is jealous. Super happy but also super excited at the direction samsung folds are going. The standard Fold 8 also doesnt fall far behind so I'm keen to try that a few generations in.

I’ve been using the Galaxy Z Fold 8 for a while now and I’m really impressed. The outer cover screen and the large inner display work together extremely well — switching between them feels smooth and natural, with almost no lag or awkward adaptation issues. Apps and content scale properly on both screens, which makes daily use very convenient. What surprised me most is how shallow the crease is. It’s much less noticeable than on previous foldables I’ve tried. When the phone is fully open, the crease is very subtle and doesn’t distract from the viewing experience at all, whether I’m watching videos, browsing, or working.

Screens are very responsive and good resolution. OS is very fast and responsive even with the fold/unfold requiring everything on the screen to change modes. Very smart to have front facing cameras on both screens. Room for improvement; a little hard to open the fold without tapping things on the small screen, perhaps a finger gap to open would be better. In the open screen mode the keyboard doesn't make use of the middle of the fold which makes it a bit hard to open. Overall this might be the time to go Fold if you are considering it.

The battery is big and reliable, so you’re not constantly watching the percentage. The crease is still technically there, but it’s finally at the point where you mostly forget about it. Durability feels much better thanks to the titanium structure and tougher overall design. The hinge is smoother, sturdier, and just satisfying to use. The responsiveness makes the whole phone feel fun and fast every time you open it. If you already love foldables or have been waiting for one that feels “ready” for everyday life, the Z Fold 8 Ultra really does feel like that milestone device.

It is very responsive also. Only negative so far is the media apps like netflix amazon and disney really need a update for a pinch to zoom function as it is small big widescreen bars or zoomed in to full screen and missing most of the sides there needs to be a nice inbetween screen please add this! I know the fold 8 has better viewing screen but as the flagship fold i feel this is missing. However so far everyone i show this phone too literally says wow when i unfold it!

畳めば普通のスマホ、広げれば薄くて軽くて携帯性抜群の情報端末になります。ポイントはどの状態でも十分な縦幅があること。少ないスクロールで1度により多くの情報にアクセスできます。展開時にはFold系で絶対やりたいことのひとつである、アプリを横に並べる機能がとても快適です。並べ方を変えたいときも、左右入れ替え、リサイズ、上下にレイアウトなどとても使い勝手がよいです。アスペクト比が約21:19と正方形に近いですが、少しの差がバカにできません。動画を見るときは必ず横向きにしてます。これによりFold8と同じくらい大きく映せますし、ステレオスピーカーが左右に配置されます。皆さんが気にされるパンチホールの位置については、横向きのときは右下にパンチホールが来るようにしてます。これで意外と許せました。おすすめさせてほしいのは、純正アラミド繊維ケースとMagSafeリングをつけること。薄さ重さを犠牲にせずに、多少の保護とマグネットがつけられますし、パンチホールを右下にしたときにボタン類が接地せずガタつきません。MagSafeリングで手から落とさずに確実にホールドできるようになり、カメラの段差によるガタつきも抑えられます。また、スタンド機能でいつでも快適に広い画面を使えます。フレックスチタニウムによる剛性アップもされましたが、お高く保護しても心もとないので、Galaxy Careかその他スマホの故障に備えられる保険に入ることを強く推奨します。

I tried and tested many Microsoft, Google & Samsung Fold Devices but settle back to the Samsung Fold for the convenience of Android Ecosystem from Smart Watches, Android Auto, Android Tablets and Phone Link to name a few. It is bright, sharp and the big inner screen makes watching videos and doing work much more enjoyable. Battery life has also been better than I expected. With normal daily use, I can get through most of the day without worrying about charging.Performance feels very smooth too, even when I have several apps open at the same time. I was a little unsure about the Hinge at first, but it feels strong and well made. The phone also feels more solid than I expected, which gives me confidence about Durability for everyday use. There is a small learning curve because it is different from a normal phone, but after using it for a few days, I got used to it quickly. Overall, it feels like a premium phone that is actually useful.

At 4.1mm unfolded it's the thinnest foldable Samsung has made, and it no longer feels like a compromise device you carry for the novelty. The 8-inch inner display is genuinely the reason to own this thing — reading, email, side-by-side work, all of it stops feeling like a phone. The 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery finally lasts a full day without negotiation, which previous Folds never managed for me. The base Fold 8 is the smarter buy. The Ultra is the better phone.

発売日にGalaxy Harajuku受取しました。 購入機種Galaxy Z Fold8Ultra/Violet Shadow(1TB/16GB) Foldは4代目ですが史上最高の仕上がりと言えます。 今回はFold8と悩みましたがコンテンツに振り切った製品よりもビジネスなど生活実用性を考慮し8Ultraにしました。 下記はあくまで8Ultra 良い点 ・折り目 Fold6から折り目はそんな気にしておりませんでしたが比べてビックリするほどに折り目が目立たず使用していても引っかかりがない ・サブディスプレイ Foldを使う上で7割くらいが閉じた状態での操作になります。 前作のFold7からですが6.5インチになったことでキーボード入力のストレスは一切ありません。 ・薄さ・軽量 Foldableの欠点とされる部分を見事にカバーしています。SシリーズUltra同等レベルの薄さ、重量なのに画面は大きく。 ・開閉 Fold7でデメリットであった薄いがゆえの開閉のしづらさが今回は改善されており文句がほとんど見当たらない ・超広角カメラ UWCの画質がようやくアップグレードし日常で使いやすくなりました デメリット ・カラーラインアップと容量設定 欲しい色に希望容量(ROM)がない場合がある。毎年Samsungはこの部分を外してくるのが残念 ・望遠カメラ Telephotoは進化が止まっている。S26Ultraの望遠が搭載されるのが理想であるが物理的な格納スペースがないなど技術的に後回しになっているのだろう ・価格 とにかく高すぎる。初代Foldの24万が可愛く感じる

Fast,smooth and just a work of art and craftsmanship. Sometimes I feel it's a bit delicate compared to a single brick style but I guess I'm just getting used to it. Pick a good quality case as it does put your mind at rest on the protection front. Battery life seems s goods as my S23 even using it unfolded. The hinge is reassuringly positive on open and shutting, just remember if you rotate it while watching something you remember as trying to shut it the wrong way could damage it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only a couple of days in after upgrading from my Fold 7 and immediately noticed some viable improvements. Battery, on the first day, you are setting up everything and there seems to be a significant improvement. Display is definitely brighter and less reflective. Hinge is really snappy to open and much easier (though no problem with fold 7 either). One thing I love about one UI is the responsiveness of the whole UI compared to Magic OS (I have a V6 too). Time will tell on Durability but the fold 7 was perfect for a year, so no reason to doubt the ultra. Speakers are great for such a thing device.

【デザイン・持ちやすさ】 Fold6からの買い替えですが、箱から出して手にした瞬間に「薄っ！」と思わず声が出たほど、軽さと薄さに感動しました。画面が少し大きくなったのは最初想定外だったのですが、使ってみると閉じた状態での文字入力や片手操作がすごくやりやすいです。結果的に「普通のスマホ」として一番使いやすい絶妙なサイズ感になりました。 【画面・ディスプレイ】 開いたときの大画面の迫力と綺麗さは流石の一言です。ただ1点だけ、メイン画面側のインカメラの位置について、UDC（画面下カメラ）にするのが難しかったのであれば、パンチホールを中央寄りではなく「画面の隅」に変えてほしかったです。コンテンツ視聴時にどうしても少し目に入ってしまいます。 ただ、インカメラが右下に来るように持てばそこまで気にならないようにできます。 【カメラ性能】 普段の撮影での写りは非常に綺麗で、かなり満足しています。折りたたみでここまで撮れれば十分すぎるクオリティですが、欲を言えば次のモデルでは望遠側も5000万画素に対応してほしいところ。そうすることで、超広角から望遠まで5000万画素のまま一気通貫でズームできるようになります。 【処理性能・バッテリー】 動作は終始サクサクで、これだけ薄型化されたのにバッテリーも1日しっかり持ちます。次回モデルへの期待も込めて書きましたが、全体的な完成度には大満足の星5つです！

(このレビューは、プロモーションの一環として収集されました。) S24Ultra(512GB)からZ Fold8 Ultra(512GB)に変えました。 ドコモユーザーなのでいつもドコモで機種変更してましたが、今回はSamsung.com限定カラーがほしくてSamsung.comで購入。 データ移行はいつも通りSamsungのアプリを使って問題なくできました。 ただ、ドコモのメールアプリとカレンダーが使えなくなったので、最初は慣れませんでしたが数日使うと慣れました。 使い始めて1週間～10日ほどは電池の減りが早いなと思って長く使い続けれるのか不安がありましたが、日が経つにつれて電池の減りが少なくなり、今は特に不安も感じないぐらいになっています。 最初の頃は朝100%で出て、昼までにLINEをトータル30分、SNSを15分ほどで昼には78～80%になっていました。 幅はS24Ultraよりもスリムになったので持ちやすくなりました。 重さもS24Ultraからの変更だと特に重いとは感じません。 画面はやはり開くととても大きく見やすいです。折りたたみは初めて使うので、開く時が 少し固く感じましたが、これぐらい固い方が物が挟まったりもないしよいと思います。 しかし慣れてない時は開く時に落とさないように気をつけないといけません。 まだまだ使えてない機能もあるので楽しく長く使えるかなと思っております。 値段は高いですがオススメできる端末です。

The option is available if you set your PIN to 6 digits. I mean, what is the rationing. 2. Bought mine in PNG, and it was a terrible experience that these phones were not ordered with the relevant phone covers. It is a pricey phone, therefore the least Samsung could do is throw in additions such as screen protector and a phone cover. 3. I hate how the dual SIM was removed.

３Gスマホの時代からSamsung製スマートフォンを使って参りました。そのうちにNOTEシリーズにし、次々機種変更していきましてUltraシリーズへ、やがてメイン回線を二つ折りスマートフォンのFoldシリーズ(Fold4)にしました。サブ回線では機種変更して使わなくなったNOTE10を利用していましたが、キャリア変更と共にUltra s24にして利用してきました。 が、メイン回線のFold4の画面が、ヒンジ部分の開閉に伴って破損してしまいました。表面のディスプレイは使えたモノの、開いて大きな画面で使おうとすると、中央のヒンジがある縦部分の液晶が使えない(見えない)状態なので、当時発売されていたFold6に機種変更をした次第です。 Fold4よりFold6の方が少し軽くなった感はありましたが、今回Fold8Ultraをサブ回線で予約の上で契約し手元に届いて手にしたら、何と薄くなった事か！ビックリしました。 これで以前の機種より性能やバッテリー稼働時間が向上しているのかと驚いた程です。 残念なのは…NOTEシリーズから続いていたSペンがなくなった？事です。NOTEシリーズやUltraシリーズには本体内蔵Sペンがありましたし、Foldシリーズには純正カバーにSペンがありました。 あのSペンはノートに手書きする感じでNOTEのメモ機能に大変便利だったのですが。今回のFold8Ultraシリーズの純正カバーにはSペン付きのは出ていないですよね。 これから発売されるのかな？ 画像はメイン回線で使用しているFold6と、今回のサブ回線で使用するFold8Ultraです。薄さの違いがわかるかと思います。

The Z Fold 8 Ultra is so extremely thin that its just the size of a normal phone when folded, and unfolded becomes extremely easy to hold. Even with the thin body, Samsung did not skimp out on battery size or the processor speed. It has one of the longest battery lives I've had on a phone in a while. The anti reflective coating on the inner display makes it so easy to view in harsh outdoor lighting too. If you're on the edge of whether the ultra model is worth it, I'd say go for it.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultraを購入して実際に使ってみました。 一番の魅力は、やはり開いたときの大画面です。普通のスマートフォンでは見づらいWebサイトや資料、メールなども非常に見やすく、タブレットを持ち歩かなくてもある程度の作業ができるのは大きなメリットだと感じています。動画視聴や複数アプリを使う場面でも、大画面を活かせるので便利です。 一方で、実際に使ってみて気になったのは指紋や手の汚れです。外側にもディスプレイがあり、開いた状態では大画面を両手で触ることも多いため、通常のスマートフォンよりもかなり指紋が付きやすいと感じます。こまめに画面を拭く必要があります。 また、大画面は非常に便利ですが、開いた状態では基本的に両手操作になります。そのため、片手でサッと操作したい場面では普通のスマートフォンの方が使いやすいです。外側のディスプレイと内側の大画面を、状況によって使い分ける端末だと思います。 総合的には、スマートフォンと小型タブレットを1台にまとめたい人には非常に魅力的な端末です。価格やサイズ、指紋の付きやすさなど気になる点はありますが、一度この大画面に慣れると、普通のスマートフォンでは物足りなく感じるほど便利です。 特に、仕事でメールや資料を確認する機会が多い人、動画やWebを大画面で見たい人には相性の良い端末だと思います。

Being able to have two worksheets open simultaneously and quickly compare information has made a huge difference to my productivity. The 200MP camera is fantastic, and the 8K video quality is incredibly clear. The Genie AI features are also impressive and have quickly become one of my favorite aspects of the phone. Overall, this is by far the best phone I have ever purchased. It has genuinely made both my work and everyday use much easier and more efficient.

The screen is beautiful and the crease is much less than that of my old Z fold 4. I hope it is more resilient and will not crack down the crease as that one did even whilst still in warranty. Without a protective cover, I find the phone rather slippery to handle particularly when opened. The thinness is very impressive but I would rather have preferred a return of the S pen or at least the integration of some sort of stylus. I also wish you offered a range of protective covers with a stylus, a stand and RFID space for cards. Is there one you recommend that I can be sure will work well?

I thought it would be too bulky for me to handle, as I have small hands but it's very light and easy to hold. The fold out screen makes it easier to manage most apps but I can still use it just as easily as a standard phone when it is closed. The camera is great and the takes quality shots. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Fold. The 6 was good but I do a lot of photography so I was disappointed. The 7 was an exciting unit and the camera was a vast improvement and I really like the larger closed format. I knew rhe Fold 8 Ultra was physically rhe same size and I was expecting that. Technically it was again a superior phone and rhe Thinner format factor and vastly improved camera were very welcome. I am a serious technology user and utilise to rhe fullest the multitasking and brilliant open screen. Well done. I was hoping for a much improved battery life over the Fold 7 as I'm on rhe unit more or less 10 - 12 hours a day and do appreciate the Fold 8s increased battery capabilities and make full use of the fast charging.

The hinge is effortless and the whole device feels very durable and solid. I have been surprised with the battery performance too which has been better and with the wireless charging has made it super easy to still be mobile and productive on the go. This phone is very thing and much lighter than my S24 Ultra. It opens a whole new way of using a phone. Unfolded you can multitask with more apps open and with some apps expanding further. I can't praise this phone enough and there's no way I could go back to a slab phone. The outer display isn't quite as wide and the hight of my S24 Ultra but it's not much. I expect this will eventually change in future models My life cycle with phones is 2 year it'll be Fold 10 for me.

The build quality feels really durable and robust, the phone itself is much thinner than i initial thought however this has no impact on the quality. The screens both inside and out are plenty big enough and the responsiveness is the best ive encountered. The hinge feels really durable and robust. The battery level lives up to the manufacturers claims too. Overall best phone i have owned and i have had many iphones and samsung phones.

However the wow factor of being able to open the phone up to see the gorgeous large dispaly more than makes up for it. I am very impressed with the fact they have made the fold almost invisible. I can honestly say that I am totally unaware of it whilst using it and sometimes have to look at the back of the phone to make sure I am going to close the phone up the correct way. A brilliant piece of technology. It's just as quick as the S25 and overall I am extremely pleased that I traded in my S25.

(このレビューは、プロモーションの一環として収集されました。) 初めてのGalaxy Fold。 実はFold7の時にも買おうか迷ってたけどやっぱり新製品がいいと思い8まで待ちました。 色はグリーンシャドウ。 近くにお店ではグラファイトとクリームしか確認できなかったのでどうかと思いますいたが実物見て結構高級感があるしカッコいいです。また一緒に注文したケースもサードパーティーの製品より高級感があり満足です。 配送については私の場合は8/2の夜に事前予約し8/5にものが届きましたのでかなり早いでした。 フォールド式のスマホは最初は好奇心となんか素敵だと思って購買しよく開いて使うか不安もありましたが、私の場合にはパソコンを使用するときにもモニターを3台使用してよくマルチタスキングをしますので結構助かります。まだ使用して短期間ですので主に活用しているのはメールを確認したり書類を一緒に開いて見たりショッピングサイトを同時に並ばせて比較しながらショッピングをしたり株式アプリとニュース、チャートを一緒に開いて使用しています。結構色んな使い方ができますので理想的です。 顔面の分割りについて最初はわからなくて調べましたが簡単に使えます。そして使用しながらGalaxy AIを組み合わせることで色んな処理や検索、イメージ編集などが簡単にできます。 UIについては昔、Galaxy S20を使用しましたのでどのぐらい変わったかと思いましたが結構変わってきて昔より分かりやすく使いやすくなりました。そしてGoodLockを使用すると自分に合わせて設定ができ、画面を開いた時も折りたたんだ時も使いやすくできます。 このフォールドはショップで短時間触ってみることより実際に使用しながら使い方を自分に合わせて設定をし経験した方がよいと思います。

The compact foldable design is easily my favourite feature. it fits comfortably in my pocket but still gives me a full-sized screen when I need it. The phone feels premium, the display is bright and smooth, and everyday apps run quickly. I also love being able to check notifications and handle quick tasks without always opening the phone. I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
