    Hi there. Hope someone can help please. Our Samsung is about 2 years old and just recently for no reason lost access to Internet. Tried to reconnect and said could not connect to router and then would not show the network screen at all. Would quickly flash up and the disappear. A few days later it let us connect again but now will not connect at all. There is nothing wrong with the router and we have reset Smarthub. The software version is T-ECPDEUC-2015.5, BT-S/I/G. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! :-)

    Hi everyone I also have the same problem. Not been able to connect to the internet since the dreaded update although I can connect to the local network so its obviously software related and not hardware. Come on Samsung please release an updated firmware without any bugs. its been about 3 days now. Cant you just recompile an old working firmware for now to get people connected to the internet. Also unless they are connected to terestrial tv they obvioiusly cant download it over the internet so they can only use usb or terestrial tv signal to update it. So this may cause problems for some.

    Hi Arislan. I emailed Samsung support today and they came back really quickly with the response below. Reassuring that there is nothing wrong with our actual TVs and Samsung are working on a solution. I will let you know if I hear more but meanwhile I think we just have to wait :-) Thank you for your email We are currently experiencing technical issues with our D and ES Range TVs with respect to connecting to our Smart Hub.     Hi Arislan. Exactly the same with ours. I had a look on the internet and someone suggested it could be a bug in the software version. The fact you have the same as us, makes this seem more likely. Surely we are not alone though! I will try and give Samsung a call later and let you know what they say.

    Hi Marian My UE46ES8000 has also just refused to connect to the Internet, but it does connect to the local network. I have tried wired and wireless connections, and carried out a factory reset to no avail. My internet is working and have proven this using other devices, both wireless and wired. I am able to connect my Samsung S3 mobile to the TV via AllShare and stream videos to the TV. Software version I am using is T-ECPDEUC-2015.5 Can Samsung advise if there is a special reset command or software download that can allow the TV to connect to the Internet again.

    This TV does feature limited Flash support within the browser however Flash player is not available as an application.

    Sort of.... it plays basic flash animations, but not video eg. it does not play ITV player or 4OD.

    Yes It has built in Wi Fi This is installed during the initial set up process all you need is your password or network key to input when prompted this is usually on the modem itself ,Just make a quick note of it and remember it is case sensitive, Or you can go to menu -network-network settings to set up just follow the on screen instructions

    Hi Ian, this TV does indeed feature built in wireless LAN. To connect to your router simply enter your router details during setup.

    Hi Thanos. This would be down to personal choice and the budget you have to spend. The ES8000 is our latest model and features all the latest tech, for that reason it would be the better of the two devices.
