Bought the phone in Feb 2025 ( 1 yr and 9 months ago) A few days ago, lines appeared in the display at the junction where it flips/ folds. Hadn’t bought any extended warranty assuming Samsung to be making quality products. Reached out to the service center and chat link and customer care call center, all to be reiterating that the screen will have to be changed on own expense of 1500 AED approximately. New one certain websites is 1300 AED NO help whatsoever from Samsung on this. To those wishing to purchase any of the flips or folds, will advise being cautious In may case this the first and perhaps the last ever mobile from Samsung By the way, being my secondary phone the cumulative usage wasn’t even 3 months

I bought this a month back as a reward for finishing the school year and man has it been a ride Such a joy using this device and despite what people told me before buying it, trying to discourage me from doing so, that the cover screen was just some gimmick that I won't be using in the future but I have been doing so consistently: to check my hair before a picture, to take actual selfies, set timers, message someone quickly, etc. I have come to love this new innovation and has actually been a great conversation starter with people seeing me use it in public, so it was a sort of launchpad for making more friends and getting to know new and interesting people.

Unfortunately I sold this phone even though I Love it. The main Issues was for me the bettery. I wished if the bettery could give more. That time I decided to let go my Galaxy S23 Ultra, and to welcome the flip 5. I hade the basic 8GB Ram, green mint color. All over the design and the mechanism 10/10, The compact design, really people need to have this device in their hands to approach it. I really like it but I decided to let go of the device and thats because of the battery. *I wish samsung if you could increase the battery, and the front screen to become more wider or the device to be come a bit more wider, then will have thw device of the year for sure.

Do not buy. Not worth the price. Don't get me wrong I like the phone and all it's features, but the inner screen only lasted about 16 months. I am not a heavy user of my phone and do not flip my phone constantly like I see some other users doing. Nor have I droped it or done anything else to damage it. However, inner screen, just started flickering one day and went black. And of course no waranty for this in Canada. If you live in the US, apparantly Samsung will replace the inner screen if it fails within the first 2 years. In Canada, you are on your own. Now I am stuck with a buyout plan for a phone that is pretty much useless. Definitly will not be buying another Samsung.

I really love how compact it is in my pocket, it now feels like a bizarre concept NOT to fold to phone in half inti a handy size haha!! The front screen is really handy to use the calculator, make calls, and use the alarm clock without having to open it up at all!! As with all Samsungs I've had it's very touch responsive and fast, and has a decent camera!! As a first time flip phone owner the hinge resilience test is still to come, but I love it so far!!

Worst phone I've ever owned. I had to replace after less than a year because the screen peeled off due to normal wear and tear. The replacement didn't even last 6 months before the same issue occurred. Not to mention Samsung has the audacity to charge hundreds of dollars to replace the faulty screen they installed. I've been using the Zflip5 for a month now and I love it, the fact that I can access most apps through the cover screen is great, fast, and compact. The size of the screen when the phone is opened is ideal. The audio quality is good, and so is the video. The phone processes quickly and doesn't heat up easily compared to other devices. I was on the fence about this phone, but decided to pull the trigger on the impulse! Slightly disappointing is the number of features for the second screen, especially when open there seems only to be the photo preview where it shows your subject what they look like. The day to day use of the phone is extremely enjoyable, with the hinge feature being both satisfying and sturdy. The phone is actually extremely powerful, able to easily run games. The screen's aspect ratio is surprisinglg good for wide screen movies etc. One feature I really enjoy is the separation from your phone when closed. The physical movement to open and access the device is a psychological and physical barrier to overuse, which I really enjoy. Finally, the crease in the middle of the screen is not noticeable when looking at the screen dead on, or unless you touch it (which is surprisingly infrequent). Would be nice to see this even less in future models.

I have had this for 15 months and it's the worst phone I've ever used. That's including the Nokia from 6th grade. The phone looks cool and probably has more tech features than I could ever fathom, but the fact that you have to unfold it to do ANYTHING (i.e. for me, running and trying to look at my Strava route, pulling up Maps, or literally anything on the search bar) is annoying. Which was fine as a singular flaw by itself. But at 15 months (so outside of warranty), the screen protector started to lift up at the fold. For any other phone, replacing a screen protector is a piece of cake, just buy a new one from any brand and replace it yourself. For this phone, it's a whole production. The Samsung website had me book a Samsung Service appointment which is only available in my region at UBreakIFix. I then called both UBreakIFix and Best Buy to ask if I need to get my repair done at a Samsung service center. Both stores said that since my phone is outside of the 1 year warranty, I can get my screen protector replaced anywhere. I then go to Best Buy for my Geek Squad appointment and they tell me that they're no longer a Samsung service center as of 6-7 months ago, and that I have to go to UBreakIfix for a Samsung-specific screen protector. What the heck?? At this point, between researching the solution and calling stores and physically going to the store, I've wasted 2-3 hours of my life on what should be a trivial matter. And to think, I'll need to replace the screen protector 1-2 more times after this (since I use my phone for 4+ years)?!!! What a massive waste of time. Don't buy this phone.
