I accepted you trade in offer last August 2023 to replace my Z-Flip 1 which after 8 month had a screen failure. You replaced the phone and that is why I jumped at your offer.
I was extremely happy with the Z-Fip5 5g until I was greeted with an allmost totally black screen and no way of recovering any data or photos.
I had no joy contacting Samsung and since we are travelling for the next 4 month does not help my situation. Had to purchase a replacement phone AO5s just to keep me connected.
I would appreciate a personal contact from your company to help to sort out this issue.

No more than a month and without warning the screen gets coulered pixels and stripes on the fingerprint screen and then the screen starts flashing and i can't access my home screen nor receive calls when they come in. I ended up losing all of my data because i couldn't save anything once the screen shut down unexpectedly. Not much help from Samsung. Tech support is useless and no one in the care department to take my calls. I thought if i bought directly from samsung I would get better support. That obviously didn't happen. Now I don't have a phone for work, and no response from Samsung after 2 days.

I brought this 4 weeks ago.
I had Samsung S10.
I wanted a phone that was more compact but still had all the latest features.
Things that l like
l have set the phone up that when l have finished a phone call simply fold the flip 5 closed and it turns off.
Plus when open the screen size is great.
The screen fold is not visible unless you tilt phone and go looking for it.
Folded l can see who is ringing me and l can answer with out opening flip.
I have had positive comments from people when they have seen me take my phone out and open it.
The more l use it the more features l am finding.

I love the phone but it's definitely something wrong with it. Not even 10 months old and the screen , where you bend the phone is bubbling up. Always being careful with it, even buying their expensive case, never dropped it. It started with small bubbles and now bigger and bigger. For a few times the phone just froze, not being able to do anything, not even shutting down. Had to wait for more than 20 min to be able to restart it. I will send it back for a replacement as I didn't pay such a huge amount for something that I was supposed to enjoy.

Used to be raving over this model until 6 months later, the rubber hinge popped out, causing the screen to crease out and bubble. Then brought for warranty where they told me after sending to repair it would cost me $500 plus for a screen replacement because of a small crack UNDER THE SCREEN which I could not see. Was such a fan of samsung innovation but this is stupid, now puts me off from buying a flip or fold phone from this brand. Guy who was consulting me over the repair even said if I was was gonna get a phone insurance for the next flip, ha nope cause had my s21 for over 2 years and had no need for it. FIX THE SCREEN ISSUE IF CUSTOMER CAN'T LAST WITH THIS PHONE PAST A COUPLES OF MONTHSS. Even met someone who loved his flip 5 then month later, exact same issue as me.now considering other brands for a flip phone.

I have been reluctant to go for a flip mainly due to some pretty midioker reviews. I'm happy to say this was a mistake. The Z Flip 5 is an excellent choice for most normal smartphone users. I did have an Samsung E700 back in the day and absolutely loved the convenience of the flip format. That being said the functionality of the Z flip5 goes way beyond expectations. I also have an S23 Ultra and this phone does almost everything it does. Sure the camera is not as good, and the battery is a little limited for heavy users. I found them more than good enough me. The Z Flip5 is simply another brilliant galaxy device with the convenient form factor of a flip phone.

Got this phone as I have had my Flip3 for 2 years now, needless to say, the smaller phone size is such a fashion convenience (cue: mini bags are in trend this season!)
but what stands out to me most on this phone is the new big front screen, as it literally doubled my productivity upgrading from flip 3 where you can only perform limited actions with the cover screen
I find myself getting to things quicker and much better at clearing out digital noise as I would use to procrastinate getting to notifications but now I am able to triage them from the front screen before opening my phone, allowing me to really focus on what I need to do everytime I open the phone

Run a mile! Purchased for my mother, who opened it one morning to discover the screen had cracked. Screen is not under warranty! $550 to repair. I've since discovered this is a KNOWN issue and they're selling it anyway. IMO this should be a class- action at Samsung for breach of code of conduct, given all the cases world wide. I bought new via MyDeal. Avoid them too.

I received it about one week ago. It's a nice size to hold compare to my old Galaxy S21. I love the flex screen that shows the clock, whether, calendar and other widgets without opening up. When I watch Youtube video, I can fold it to 90 degree. The screen is smaller but the sub-title is large and clear. Once its folded up, it's so easy to put into my pocket either in the trouser or shirt.
The only thing that I don't like is after folding up, it's too smooth. I worry that it could easily slip off my hands. I wonder if some rough sticker is available that I can stick on the colour side. Perhaps, I may buy a case to help.

I have one zflip 5 256gb (mint). That is incredible design from samsung, when i flip it, it is very easy to up and down without feeling heavy. Smooth screen on both side, tiny in pocket, light than the one i used (oppo). No matter less capacity than average phone, i have been playing game for 3-4 matches (approximately 3 hours). I can feel the heat on the top screen but it not that hot to burn the fingers. A great improvement from samsung. I can record on both screen, selfie is now more easier. It reminds me from 18 years ago when i first saw the classic flip phone. Now it backs to my hand. The best design in my opinion.

I have had the Flip 5 for a few weeks now and I'm absolutely in love. It's practical, accessible, comfortable to hold in hand and in pocket (fits easily into women's jeans pockets-all other smartphones I've had don't fit comfortably and/or slip out of my pocket). It has a luxury look and feel. Super smooth processing and graphics. You can use most apps from the flex screen with the phone closed saving battery life and time. It's also surprisingly more durable than expected. I honestly can't fault a single thing with this phone and would highly recommend to anyone looking to buy a new phone - this is a game changer.

My partner who has a Flip4 is extremely jealous of the big cover screen on my Flip5. I traded in my S21+ for this. While it was a great deal, the overall user experience is a downgrade for me.
Pro: smaller size in my pocket. Potentially longer lasting battery if I can get use to using the phone more via the cover screen.
Con: narrow width makes it slightly harder to type. I like to watch my videos using the full width of the screen which resulted in this phone cutting off too much of the top and bottom. Smaller battery than the traditional Galaxy S+ models.
A wee bit wider screen (fold out screen ratio of an A4 paper?) would have flip my opinion on this phone.

I've had the Z flip for just over 2 weeks now. I've had a considerable improvement in terms of my quality of life. The cover screen enables me to get a quick review of my tasks and notifications without getting stuck doomscrolling.
As for the build quality, I think it is very well done. This is my first flip phone and am amazed by the quality as it doesn't feel flimsy. The little crease is not even noticeable as I type out this review.
On top of that, being able to take good selfies and family photos has been good as I had my daughters first birthday and we were able to get some good photos out as everyone could see themselves on the cover screen as we took the photo.

Call me old fashion but years ago I was presented with a flip Nokia phone by my sister. And as 4 years passed, my children decided to give me a "then modern Nokia 6110". I used the phone until 2008 when my present husband decided to get me Samsung phone starting with 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Note, 9 Note, skipping 10 and went to S20 and later S22 Ultra until I my eye caught a lady using the Z Flip5 Phone and I felt in love again (pardon the pun) and I proudly carry and display my new phone since I my husband bought it again on 12.11.2023 as my early Christmas gift. Couldn't be prouder to claim and own a Z flip5 now.🥰

Z flip 5 is the reason I’ve flip to the other side after being with the status quo for 13 years. I love how compact, it is and the flex cover is for the win. It can give a quick view of my most important apps without having to open the entire phone. Taking group photos with friends makes it fun being able to see our selves on the screen, the hand gesture makes it so much easy to take photo, with shaky hands like mine. Battery life is good, i don’t mind the crease because when I was young my dream is to have those flip phones of the early 2000s. I’ve had it for 2 weeks now, so far no regrets and i’m happy.

The Flip 5 is not bad. it has great storage, great performance and the flip feature has been more useful than I thought. However, despite these things, the phone fails in some basic things that Samsung has nailed down in their other phones like S22 Ultra. Firstly, battery life is horrible. The phone would lose 10% to 20% of charge in one hour of stand by. I'm not a huge gamer and most of my apps are light so I don't understand why it loses power so quickly. The second problem is the camera. I've tried to take photos in different environments and with different lighting and they leave much to be desired. It's not a terrible camera but compared to S22 Ultra, it was dissappointing.

My 2 month old z flip 5 phone which i had never dropped, bought the samsung approved case, put extra screen protectors on broke with a manufacturing defect but because it had a small indent in the screen which i wasnt even aware was there i was denied warranty and was basically told my options were to deal with it or pay $500 while getting talked down to by customer service for asking questions about if the phone would work without out the repairs and if the indent even caused the defect. Tanya refused to give me that information and told me there's no point because its out of warranty. I have been a samsung supporter for 5 years and now i'm never going back from the way i was treated by IT, customer service and cheaply made products.

I switched from the iPhone 11 to the Galaxy Flip 5 about 1 week ago and am very happy with my decision. The customisable features of this phone are more than enough for me to recommend it. The cover display is also so fun to use! I am able to do so much on this small screen and do not even need to flip open the phone sometimes. The crease is honestly not bothersome at all and the display is a great size. The camera is pretty decent and overall the intuitive design of the flip and software features just makes it so enjoyable to use. Would definitely recommend if you are keen for something a bit different!

So the product I bought was the Galaxy Z Flip5, which I bought it from Ebay.au. It was a refurbished phone but still functioned normally and all ability was working well. It changed my life because I never knew there were such an advance phone that could fit it in anywhere with just a flip, it made my life so much easier as I don't have to carry such a heavy and big phone like before. I used Galaxy A12 and has been using it for 4 years and once I knew the flip 5 exist, I was obssess with it. The design, frame, function all amazed me. The most impressive function was the camera, the quality diffenence between Galaxy A12 and Flip5 was huge and I'm glad I got to know about this phone

I was fascinated by samsung flip series since several years ago, and with few significant upgrades this year, I decided to get my first folding phone. I've used flip 6 as my only phone for 4 weeks, and it still brings me joy every day when I fold it up. Such a pretty little machine!
I use the small screen a lot, it can open up most apps with goodlock. A lot cute themes are definitely a bonus.
Camera is okay, and it's a bit annoying that I need to open up phone for taking photos.
The battery can last for almost a whole day, I don't use phone that much (within 4 hrs screen time). I do wish Samsung can upgrade the charging speed, at least 67w please it will make a real difference.

I've always wanted to try the Z flip ever since the first one but was worried about durability and usability. I took the plunge with the Z flip 5 and I am so happy I did. The outer screen is way more useful than I thought it would be and the internal screen is brighter and harder than I thought. Overall the phone is fantastic but the only thing letting it down is the camera system, the pictures come out fine but I would have loved a telephoto lens as well as the main and ultrawide. I don't think I will ever go back to a standard candy bar phone again and I look forward to what Samsung will do next.

I have owned a budget phone for the last five years, (Shout out Oneplus 5T <3) and refused to upgrade to another phone that would possess the same features but be 100 times higher in price. But once I saw that ad for the Z Flip 5, I had no other choice but to join the flip side. ITS AN AMAZING PEICE OF WORK!! The look the feel, its just out of this world. I am so obsessed!! It was the best decision to buy it, no regrets. I pre-ordered it and 512 GB!!! Are you kidding me!! The specs are just incredible!! The aesthetics of the flip paired with Samsung's already incredible UI and tech, it is just, incredible, fantastic, out of this world. Keep it up Samsung!!! I'll support you for life :)))))

I am 72 years old and all my other phones have been Samsung phones handed down from my sons. This is my first new phone . The Z5 Flip is just amazing. from the small size that fits in my pocket well , not bulky like all my other phones l have used to the big main screen when opened. I can do most things from the front screen and due to the size of the front screen I have no trouble seeing it. And most of all is
everything works well. I have no trouble seeing the main screen in the sunlight while taking photos, something that I could never do with all my old phones. I have only had the Z5 Flip for 1 week but everyday it does just amazes me with what it does and how quick and well it does it.

Inner screen has become unstuck within a few months of purchase, got it replaced and happened again a few months later. Have had 2 bookings at service centre Chadstone to get it replaced and have been cancelled TWICE due to allegedly not having any screen replacements. They did not even bother to let me know ahead of my booked repair to save me the trip. Poor customer service and faulty design on this flip phone.

I loved that phone but it split in the middle after only 11 months and Telstra didn't look after me although it was still under warranty and I had extra insurance. They gave me a new phone but it cost me money and I have to pay more every month. Not happy.

There were a few hiccups along the way, like the battery being dead when first delivered, and the dreaded screen lift that happened a year and a half later. Mum is not a power user by any means and mostly uses the phone to look at photos of her grandchild. Switching to the Flip5 has been great so far! She's loved the form factor in comparison to the Fold, and there so far haven't been any glaring quality issues. We're hopeful that the phone will last, as typically she uses her phones for years. Provided there's no issues, the phone is a win!

I bought this 1 week ago and the difference from the Flip3 is staggering.
Camera, speed, battery life, everything! As someone who used to charge my phone at least once to thrice a day depending on usage, I can now not even think about the battery? It's fine for days?? So weird and SO NICE.
Everything is faster, the transfer of data was seamless, literally no issues at all.
The biggest fear for me was having such a big screen on the outer side, but I have screen protectors and a new case on so it should be fine :)

Picked this up to replace my P30 pro after 7yrs. It's been brilliant, absolutely love that I can reply to messages and such without even having to open the phone. The coverage is much better, screen has great resolution and the loud speaker is crystal clear. Battery life is fractionally less than I'm used to, but still outstanding for a phone with its capacity and what I use it for. The user interface is smooth and easy to navigate, something I was worried about after having my old phone for so long.
If you're looking to get into a flip revolution, Definitely consider the Flip5.

When I first found out about this particular version of the flip 5 , I couldn't wait to be able to get my hands on one.
I really have held out in reference to the flip phones.
To find a need or a reason to get one, besides all the obvious ones.
This for me evokes so many happy memories , the development of the mobile phone, the size the power the features.
Nokia had such a strangle hold of the market it was such a joy to get an alternative that equalled or dare I say bested....either way in my mind it was an improvement.

I was very excited when Samsung brought out the flip 4. I always wanted one but couldn’t bring my self to spend that amount of money. When my old Samsung died, I started researching the flip 5 and to be honest was a bit sceptical of the raves it was getting. Well I can tell you in all honesty, that the raves were all so true, but I would go even further and say the Flip 5 when you’d actually own one, leaves you in awe every time you use it. The small cost of such a magnificent piece of engineering , yes I said small, because if you compare the cost to many other brands, the cost is far cheaper than those others who cannot claim the excellence of the flip5. Go ahead and buy one even if you are just slightly interested because you will never go back to any other brand or style of phone.

Lasted 6 weeks before the touch screen stopped responding. Returned it, and because it had the tiniest little scratch on one corner, they claimed I'd dropped it. The only knocks it had was sitting in the car cup holder whilst driving. Paid $465 to have it repaired and the repairer advised they'd had a lot of these phones coming in with the same problem.

I would never buy another flip phone again. Twice the screen lifted the second time they tried telling me that I did it. The only Samsung phone I owned before this one was the Flip 3, and like that phone at the time, this is the best phone I've ever owned. Folded, it's the perfect size to hold, put in my pocket, or store when not in use. The quality of the hinge is great, always feels solid. The crease in the screen is not noticeable when viewing front on, and you're always viewing it front on. Being android enables use of a wide variety of apps, I cluding Google's own with seemless integration. I don't see myself ever using a different line of phones again, the flip design is just so spot on.

I m a convert from Iphone. The fact that this phone was made for fun beside everything else they said about this phone. And i love the feature of flex screen when I DO NOT HAVE TO OPEN THE PHONE to use any app I possibly have, its a mind blowing. Feels like Inhave 2 phone in one. One is small and one is big. I am confidence saying by myself one of the biggest fan z flip serious. I have used z flip 3 and 4 then i have got z flip 5 now. What an amazing special hinge when i flip and fold the device. I am really happy with that front screen size. It is awesome i could not expect to get like this. And i have tried to use whole day without open the phone. Just use it haha. It was brilliant i felt like have different style phone. Also when i applied to service to change screen and anything wrong. Samsung always useful service to me and my family. Bought this phone because it fit nicely in my chalk bag's pocket for climbing and because it can be its own tripod. However, too many apps do not work with the stock app launcher on the cover screen, and I had to install another app (Good Lock) to add them. Even with Good Lock, however, Google Wallet still didn't work, which completely defeats the point of having a folding phone. I also would have expected apps such as Spotify to have dedicated cover screen widgets.

I traded in my S23U for the Flip5
I've always loved the bigger phones, but I think I've finally started to realise that its hard to put them anywhere. I find they are too big for my pockets, too big for the car trays etc etc, thats why I decided to try the flip.
I loved the 23U and was massively apprehensive in trading in the "god" phone for a downgrade, but those fears where soon quashed. I love the flips form factor, light and portable, it fits anywhere and I cant even tell I'm carrying it around, plus it folds out to the same screen size as the 23U "although a little skinnier" Its a great phone. It doesn't have samsung DEX (not a big issue for me)
The only downside I've found is that the battery life is atrocious.

Purchased August 2023, by February 2024 it died - thr lower screen half (below the fold) started glitching, broken pixels, flashing. So took it back. Before that, the flip was cool for selfie videos and watching movies without needing to hold the phone. All in all, a miss for Samsung.

Light weight and thin.
Like the flex screen. Been watching youtube on it. Decent customisations on it. Small feedback - I would like option for all the apps to be enabled on flex screen.
Good build quality.
Bend is hardly visible.
Can use primary camera for selfie.
Bad -
My biggest problem is battery. Not good enough for heavy users. Just 3700mAmp. Hope it improves drastically next year.
Camera is just above average. If S23 ultra like camera is your top priority, this phone is not for you.

My first flip phone since I don't know when, but man this is fantastic. The display is crisp, and my settings are very much default. Audio is fantastic, the outter or front screen is so good. So many fantastic functions. Messaging, Spotify, Photos, heck I can even play Pokemon Go on it! ha ha.
I'll be honest, if the watch and buds didnt come free, I probably wouldnt have bought it, would have waited, but I don't have regrets on it right now, this is such a handy and fun phone! Now to find a case/cover that I like.
One thing I'd love to see practical, but have another camera at the base/rear so that you can use the small screen as a view finder when taking photos when closed - as opposed to JUST a selfie camera.

I only have this phone for 8 months. In a meeting I used the phone once for info, closed the phone, opened it again and the screen lifted up. Everyone in the meeting was shocked. Now samsung wants to charge me $700 to fix the screen. I've never been more disappointed.

I've had this phone for a couple of weeks now. The first thing that drew me to it was it being compact. Perfect for my pocket at work which my previous phone kept falling out of, due to the size. Is also a decent size when opened up, good for your every day use.
The operating system is taking some getting used to (I've had iphones for the last 5 years or so) but it seems pretty straight forward and user friendly.
Being able to do a few things when the phone is closed is pretty awesome. The closed screen is cute!
Overall, pretty happy with it so far!

All you current Flip 5 folks take a look at your hinge. There is a "ribbon" that connect the top and bottom screen. The ribbon came loose simply from folding and unfolding the phone (I have owned it for 60 days). I sent it in for service, and was told:
SAMSUNG: We have inspected the device you mailed in for repair, and have determined that the repair is not covered under your warranty. In order to continue the repair, you would need to make payment arrangements for the cost of the repair $345.32.
So I called and after being transferred around a million times I was told that the ribbon coming out is not a covered item. When I asked where and why it states that I was told it was in the "terms". When I said if you want to charge me $350 then I suggest you please tell me what the verbiage states. He never did. Just the same answer.
The sad part is Pierre probably did what he was trained to do. Also, I do not expect the "manager" to call me as it has happened before no call back.
The only other con to the phone whole it was functional was the camera. It was terrible on the zoom and quality compared to my Ultra22.
It's important for anyone reading this to know I am not upset because I didn't get a phone replaced I'm upset that I've done the right thing.
My phone is in the most pristine condition not one scratch on it not one scratch on the screen and I'm told it's not covered because it's a customer issue. If it let me post pictures I would to prove it.

I bought this in May 2024, the phone took 6 weeks to arrive. After 1 month of use the screen started to act up, after 6 weeks the screen was unusable with glitchiness and pixel leak.
When I took it to the sumasung store they said i needed an appointment to look at the phone. I came back a second time to the appointment at which point they told me they can give me an older refurbished phone (for my 1 month only phone) or I can get it fixed under warranty which would take 7 business days. No loan phone would be provided so i would basically not have a phone for 2 weeks (which i need for my work).
I called up the service desk to ask about my options as by phone was less than 2 months old and clearly a manufacturing defect. They said i will need to make an appointment, there are no other options and the phone would be fixed in 3 days not the 7 advised.
Bought a new phone to use whilst it was getting repaired, it's been over a week and no contact from samsung about the phone status. And to be honest the $100 replacement phone actually work better than this $1,500 samsung phone.

Had the phone for about 13 months, four months ago, the bottom screen started to flicker. It now will remain black and unresponsive when opening the phone. This doesn't happen every time, but it will at the times when I need it not to, like scanning my boarding pass while boarding a flight. Samsung won't stand behind their product and warranty this phone without me paying for the repair. I have had MANY Samsung phones, around seven over the past 15 years. I have multiple Samsung TV's and appliances, this will be the last Samsung device that I purchase.

Call me old fashioned ( I don't care ), but I like a shirt with a breast pocket.
Now when you take the size of most "normal" phones, they are hanging out of the pocket.
That's where to Flip5 comes into its own. It is fully concealed - out of site.
And if you have to put it in a pant pocket it takes up no more room than a normal wallet.
All fuctionality is perfect.
In the car it actually fits on the charging pad.
I'm 70 years old and this Flip5 totally suits me and my lifestyle. The best thing is that it is never obvious that I'm carrying a phone.

Im in Australa. MyDeal sourced its phones from Hong Kong, which I didn't realise had massive implications on any fault recourse! Neither MyDeal (the real party at fault here) nor Samsung Hong Kong NOR Samsung Australia will fix this known flaw under warranty. Criminal! I'll be taking this to the Ombudsman.

I bought this phone 18 months ago, inner screen failed but according to experts due to minor scrapes on outside case the phone suffered mechanical damage so they refused warranty fix.
What ever happened with QA checks with dropping of phones from height and opening and closing of flip phones, phone worked fine till inner screen develope green line across centre then failed progressively. Not happy!

I bought the item only 6 months ago. Even thoigh the battery life was horribel I loved being able to close the flip and open it so I did it very often. Eventually the LED at the Fold area started to malfunction and slowly stopped working in a line through the fold area. I'd expect that from a 2 year old flip but at half a year after the purchase I'm really disaapounted in the quality.

Extremely satisfied with a 3G non-smart phone for years, and recently forced to upgrade to at last 4G, I purchased another phone, but was seriously frustrated with things it could not do that was easy using my very old dinosaur phone. I was considering upgrading to a smart phone to ease the frustration, and then changed jobs where I needed a smart phone for work. Choosing the Z Flip5, primarily for size and the ability to answer calls, and use certain functions while it is closed, I have been pleasantly surprised with its capabilities, though interestingly, some functions still can't match the dinosaur. I'm happy with my choice so far, but already spending more and more time on it, which is one of the reasons I never wanted one in the first place.

I'm absolutely thrilled with my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 phone! I bought it in mint green and it's a really cute and subtle colour. Its compact design makes it incredibly convenient to carry around in my pocket and purse, and I'm loving every moment of using it. The hinge is pretty firm, so opening and closing it takes a little bit of effort but it is not a big issue. The cover screen has been far more useful than I expected, and it has quickly become an indispensable part of my daily routine, and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

I am a Samsung user and decided to give the Flip a go. It is small and easy to hold in the hand. I have had no issues with the screen, in-fact, it is such an improvement compared to the Flip 4! I'm loving the external screen's size!! The Mint colour is the one i have, but I'm sure the other colours are just as grand. I'm using this Flip to record videos of my newborn son and I having interactions hands-free, and it is perfect. No need to find a tripod or a stand for my phone. I can't wait to see what is in the S24 launch!

After 15 years of using a certain other fruit named brand phone, I decided to try the Flip 5 and omg I'm so glad I did! The nostalgic 'flip' feature was the selling point for me because I wanted that fun flair but it's quickly become evident that it's such a useful feature in everyday life for me (and I kind of really love how it feels like having two phones in one lol). I'm also still in awe of the customisation that can be done on this phone! There are also beta features with the Flip that I'm using and absolutely loving, so knowing that there are constant upgrades and updates for functionality for the Flip make me feel even more secure in my choice for changing to the Flipside.
I'd recommend this phone for everyone looking to bring some fun into their tech!

I purchased a Galaxy Z Flip 5 recently and I love it. I am very happy with the phone overall. The main reason I purchased it was that it fits into my trouser pockets easily. Any other mobile does not fit well in my trouser pockets.
However, there is one aspect that I overlooked when I was evaluating the phone. I have a hobby workshop where I undertake metal work projects. Unfortunately, a small chip of metal became trapped between the folding faces and this cracked the screen. It will be very expensive to have Samsung repair the phone. I just wanted to provide a warning to all users or potential users of this type of phone to be very careful to ensure that no particles are trapped between the screen before folding it. Always check and fold the phone carefully.

Am a long time Samsung customer, adopting the company across my life. Not only mobile phones, but appliances, computers and accessories fill my home. The quality is always there, along with performance that meets my needs. The newest Flip phone is much easier to hold, easy to operate, and has more than adequate responsiveness for me. Calls are clear, music plays true to "being there". Photos rival my DSLR camera and the ability to edit and share immediately is fantastic. Very happy I upgraded from a Galaxy S10.

I upgraded from my Galaxy S10 to the Galaxy Z Flip5 last Christmas and am quite sorry. I thought it would be easier to carry in the pocket, but without a cover it is extremely slippery and with a cover quite bulky. The battery has deteriorated very quickly and lasts barely 12 hrs on normal use (no video or YouTube) Tried to contact Samsung but sick of updating and cancelling apps...it should hold charge ( when at 100% it says it will last 1d and 8hrs but by evening its at 11%), my S10 lasts longer and it's old!

Samsung Flip Phones have always been very desirable to me, and so i purchased one and after 13 months of purchase the real problem started , the screen started flickering from 11th month and eventually a corner in the middle went black , today its 15th month and the screen is not responsive, there was no support from @samsungIndia for this, they give 01 year warranty in India and 02 year warranty in foriegn country for the same Mobile phone. i do not recommend samsung gadgets to anyone and highly dissappointed

Had the phone 3 weeks and I'm really starting to enjoy its functionality.
It's taken a while to get use to it but have been a Samsung user for may years so not too difficult.
Love screen quality and the front screen is a huge bonus with its ability to show widgets and other information.
The size filded is ideal and fits neatly into pockets . I will say when you buy it get a case as the build is spectacular but very slippery in hand . Can fits great and dosent add to size. All in all great phone 4.5

I bought this phone a little over a year and a half ago and it’s already broken. The top half of the screen is black. I don’t put any undue pressure on it I’m retired It sits in my front pocket. I was literally holding the phone. I folded it, opened it back up, and the top half of the screen wasn’t working any longer.
I would not recommend this phone , the technology isn’t there yet. If the sales people recommend you buy insurance for the phone because it’s a novelty maybe you shouldn’t be selling it.

Was looking to upgrade my Samsung A71 and was initially attracted by the promotion of the Samsung Watch and Earbud Pro 2 package. I'm not really someone who raves about phones and technology but this is the best phone I've ever owned and my work phone is an Iphone14. I really love the convenience of the flip, how you can access apps and tonnes of info on the front screen, and just the overall performance of the phone. So compact and good on the eye. Well done Samsung, can't wait to see what's next.

I liked the phones aesthetics and interface and practicality. But the battery even though with 3750 mAh is a joke. Drains so quickly. On stand by it retains the charge but as soon I using it, it starts draining so quick. Not happy with that

I really want to like this phone. It's fast, fits in all my pockets, it's a very nice phone. The only issue is I feel it is very fragile. I have had to have both flip phones fixed under warranty. I don't trust it is waterproof as there are little rubber flimsy bumpers where the screen folds. I really want to keep the phone but I can't afford to keep having to get it repaired for manufacturing issues, it's a big hassle and means being without a phone whilst being repaired which can take some time.

I bought this phone 2 weeks ago after being an avid iphone user for years. It was supposed to be my secondary work phone only but quickly it had become my MAIN PHONE. I gave away my iphone. This phone does everything! From beautiful pictures, to gaming, to work emails and signing PDFs, you name it.
The flip feature of it also makes me nostalgic, since I wasn’t a cool kid in the day and didn’t own one of those folding phones — this time around I am able to live that dream of mine! The fold has no gaps too
The built in screen protector is amazing, the display window also means i dont have to keep opening my phone to check for notifications or texts — i can even watch tiktok through it.
I say it’s a work horse because it does everything. I am a convert. And there’s no regrets there!

I have had my new Flip5 for over a month after my S10 finally died. The transition was really easy with all data, etc transferred over and am really happy with the update that this phone offers. The flip function is even better than I thought but just requires a new way of thinking about my phone and how I use it (am sure that this is more about 'me' than the actual phone). It is amazing how many people want to have a look at this phone and are intrigued by how it works and how good it looks.

When the first Z-flip phone was released I was eager to give the Z-flip series a try so I decided to wait until I was comfortable enough with the hinge function of the phone. I have now purchased my first Z-flip phone and I will never turn back. The Z-flip 5 has an excellent hinge function that folds into the back of the phone seamlessly. I have had no issues with the phone so far and it can also run the latest hardware requirement games such as honkai star rail, genshin impact, wuthering waves and pokemon go. The phone also functions as the best selfie camera ever invented while the phone is shut the cover screen allows for instant photo opportunities and I love the 1:1 ratio of the photos taken. I purchased the phone on a sale recently and it was the best value I've ever spent on a phone.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and I’m using it everyday, the outlook is great and fashion, big cover screen and allow you using most of the apps as normal, customize own keyboard and different functions is giving many fun and make my phone unique to others. A little bit unperfected is the battery running a little bit fast, but for me is just need to charge everyday so it’s not a big problem. Probably need a power bank if going outside and using phone a lot. Overall I will rate 4/5 to this device.

This phone is so refreshing to the typical, now boring smartphone market. I find myself enjoying my phone again with new hardware and software features. I also love how the smartphone now fits easily in my pocket and the cover screen literally is all I need for 80% of my usage which makes the experience somehow simpler and more enjoyable.

I have only had the phone a year in a case and the screen and the edges are breaking at the fold, I have the insurance on it but theu still want me to pay 200.00 out my pocket and it is a manufacturer defect

I had a Flip3, and it was good, then I bought this Flip5, and it is an extraordinarily engineered piece of equipment. The hinge is so good now, no more dusty screen, which i am grateful for, and the front screen is now so useful and practicle. I especially likr being able to use so many apps on it. My biggest problem is remembering to use the phone unopened, only because i got sonused to using it by opening up. I am slowly remembering though. Love it, buy you will never regret the decision.

Upgraded from my old Flip3 which was starting to get a bit tired and t's been worth the upgrade. Thew new larger screen on the front it an excellent design improvement, it has so much more functionality. There's a bunch you can do without even opening the phone, which is something I've always loved about the Flip. The camera and battery is also a lot better than my old Flip3. Once you change to a Flip it's hard to switch back, I love being able to slip it into all my pockets and bags.

After trying a friends Flip3 I decided to switch to the Flip5 as it was coming out soon.
So far it has been better than expected in every way. coming from a S22 I thought I would be sacrificing battery and performance for the form factor, This has not been the case, if anything the battery life appears to be better and performance is about the same.
The front screen is great (Though limited if your not using good lock to allow any app to be used)
Overall a good experience for me

I decided to get a new phone finally and this one was IT! I like that I can leave the phone flipped all the time. The fingerprint scanner on the power switch makes it super convenient to unlock my phone from the outside screen. I love the look of the phone, especially when it's flipped. I can fit it in smaller spaces now without any worry. I love the mint colour so much and the gadget case that helps show off its true colour. I also love how smooth it looks and feels when using it.

I love this phone so much! Despite the crease in the centre of the phone, I rarely notice it as I thought it would. The one feature I use the most is the cover screen, the fact that I can use so many apps just as the phone is open has made it so easy to just fit in the palm of my hand on the go.
The phone being small, I'm able to fit it in all my pocket clothing which I couldn't get with my previous devices.
I'd love to see the next flip to see what new features they add next!

Had the Flip4 and really enjoy the improvements made for the Flip5. Battery doesn't heat up like the Flip4 did.Battery life doesn't seem to be any different, but not overheating is a big win. Love the bigger cover screen and options for customising it. Great colours to choose from. For the most part, functions are similar to Flip4. Fold section isn't as obvious as on the Flip4. Sure there's additional features I haven't discovered because I don't know or have a real need for them

The new bigger front screen is what makes this phone awesome! More detail and info than previous models saves you opening the phone constantly. I have a video screensaver on the front screen that is not only enjoyable to view but impresses onlookers.
The flip feature makes taking videos and viewing save the need for a separate stand/ cover when taking photos or using various apps. Love this phone. Brings back memories of the various flip phone of the early days of mobile tech.

Flip5 is excellent in small size, fast speed, light weighted, easy flip and many other features. I enjoyed it so much by trade in the old flip3. The most important thing is battery is improved a lot. External screen is significantly handy, most functions can be used without flip. Good for both business and personal purpose.
But samsung customer service was so bad, it takes 21 days for a response. The processing time is too long and no one care about customer's feeling.

My new Z flip 5 is wonderful! It is a refreshing (yet familiar) change to the smartphone lineup. The functionality and build quality have exceeded my expectations, and it is a show stopper with all my friends and family.
Being able to close my phone physically has altered the way I use it. Gone are the days of procrastinating and "doom" scrolling. I'm able to "shut out" unwanted distractions and focus on what matters.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for change.

I got this phone as an exchange for when my Samsung Galaxy Flip 4 broke and had to be repaired. The Galaxy Flip 5 is an excellent phone with a great design and it has some of the best features a Samsung phone has to offer. The ability to customise the phone is fun especially the gif feature that's is
great and the editing of the navigation keys. The wallpapers are stunning and the display is awesome as well as the sound overall and excellent and well designed phone.

I brought this a week ago and I'm very happy to use it since it has the best battery I ever seen, the phone it self is a testament that there things that can be still invented which is done by the Samsung company. The flip5 green colour is so great that it makes me happy whenever I see if I recommend every one of my family members and friends to buy it, and they did! I want everyone to have a taste of this since it's a revolution that has changed the cause of phones.

I got this phone around 2 weeks ago and so far I'm soooo happy. I absolutely adore it, it's sleek and light weighted and the screen on the front is amazing!! You can even text on it, take photos and view various other things like the calendar.
It runs really fast and has a good amount of storage... a tiny bit annoying you can put a memory card in it but hey, that's what buying cloud storage is for.
I love this phone and I'm so so happy to have purchased one. ☺️

The functionality i loved about the S22 ultra in a more pocket friendly size. I am able to do all the things i could with the bigger phone but live that it fits so easily into a pocket. Flip screen apps mean I can see emails,texts and other notifications without opening the phone. I started years ago with the s6 and have had nearly every galaxy s series since. I had a Nokia clam shell I adored back in the 2000s and the flip 5 is as much fun to own. Love this thing

Didn't have an issues for the first 7 months, then out of the blue the screen stopped working, flashing green and barely useable on the bottom half. Have since been replaced with a new one, but was left for 3 weeks without a phone. Friend had the same issue with her flip as well. Very happy with it when it is working though, smaller size is so much more convenient. The slight dimple across the middle of the screen where it folds does take a bit of getting used to.

I am very happy with this its a great phone it has fantastic smart functions that make things so much easier it has next level technology I love how easy it is to flip open and shut again, I love that your able to customise the screen on front as well as the wallpaper typing is super easy on it and it has many different acessible features if you have any issues with seeing or hearing etc it has been expertly made and designed and cannont be happy enough with it.

Got this 1 year ago, I have not damaged it. The motherboard has decided to stop working right as my warranty expires it doesn't flip, so it's not a flip phone anymore. It won't recognise if it's open or not and takes dozens of flips to access my phone again. The battery life is terrible, last a good amount of time when I got the phone, now a full charge will last 3-4 hours. The slimness of the phone, I have seen that it makes typing much harder. Very laggy now, screen is choppy and freezes. Charger port, never had a moisture issue, will sometimes say the USB device is not supported (USB-C), and stop being able to charge through a cord for a few days. I keep my phone clean and haven't dropped it. It just seems to be good in theory but actually using it, it's subpar by far. I have friends and family that have the same issues

Only had the flip 5 for a week or so but love it so far.
Can fit in my pockets. woman so most clothes either have small pockets or no pockets.
Love the nostalgia it brings me.
Can feel the crease of where the phone folds but it doesn't bother me at all. Only bothers me when im playing pokemon go.
I have found that the cover screen seems to get hot sometimes.
I don't like that i had to download an app to be able to use other widgets from the cover screen.

I have had this phone for over a year and it has never failed me. The form factor is the perfect size for every day carry; always fitting in every shape and size of pockets I wear. There is nothing more satisfying than whipping out my flip for a chat and snapping it shut at the end of a call. I am incredibly impressed at the durability of the z flip and love switching up the travel cases from leather, to customized plastic and right now with a new ring case.
