[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the ssd to be the main storage for my operating system on my new pc and primary storage since i didnt buy another or a hard drive, but the speeds are crazy fast. im i play the same games as on my ps4 (Borderlands pre,2,3, outriders new horizion, watchdogs, fallout 4, and i usually have to wait like a min or so during screen transitions or cut scenes and would usually check my phone during this time but i cant do that with these high speeds. The transitions stick around for like 3 seconds and im back in. I got it before the 980 came out but im planning on getting it anyways and switching the primary storage for those fast load times.

I have been taking all the pics from my cell and my husbands cell and just uploading them onto our computer hard-drive forever now. It was running slow, taking forever to complete new actions and switch between programs until I installed this bad boy. We now have plenty of memory and the speed at which it runs is super fast. Like its brand new and has nothing on it. It's so awesome. Our computer boots up so fast now and we are no longer waiting for files to upload forever like before and I dont have to choose what I want to keep and not keep to make room!

i bought 970 evo plus 1tb ssd a month ago nearly im very impressed with its performance its speed is as advetised even a bit more (read/write) its my second samsung ssd i use one as boot drive(980 pro 500 gb) but my pc is also decent enough (sadly not pcie 4 but still ok ish) specs 9700kf 32 gb ram 500gb samsung 980 pro 500 gb 1tb 970 evo plus 1tb motherboard asus prime z390 m plus (pcie 3 sadly but still very fast for me) overall samsung is great brand i use samsung phones for years i never had problems with any samsung product .even my old pc ram is samsung 2gb (been using it for over 10 years ) samsung is very good

Onlangs de 1TB SSD van Samsung gekocht. Eerst nog getwijfeld om voor een goedkoper kaartje te gaan, maar uiteindelijk bij Samsung gebleven omdat ik hier met andere producten altijd goede ervaringen mee heb. Deze SSD is een verademing als het gaat om snelheid, en met 1TB meer dan genoeg ruimte om alle software/games te draaien die ik nodig heb. Prestaties van de kaart verschillen niet ontzettend veel in dagelijks gebruik van andere SSDs, dus hoewel ik daar weinig positief/negatiefs over kan zeggen lijkt alles uitstekend te werken. In hoeverre de premium prijs in de toekomst het verschil zal maken zal moeten blijken.

Bought this less than a year ago and was very impressed with the performance. All of a sudden one day windows wouldn't boot up. Swapped out another hard drive and reinstalled windows on that instead. Booted it up, detects the 970 Evo 1tb in the bios, but when I go to windows there is nothing. Was able to open the drive momentarily through "this pc" but nothing could be opened or moved or changed. Tried to format and would not let me. Drive is set to read only and I cannot take it off. Samsung magician detects it and its running a scan now, getting all sorts of bad sectors. Trying to figure out how the warranty works on this because this drive should not be dead already.

I just bought this drive, and as I was on Dell Inspiron 7373 laptop with just the one slot, installed the new drive into a USB adapter in preparation for migration and connected it to the USB port. Samsung Migration wouldn't recognize the drive in the USB enclosure. Had to buy and use a third-party migration tool to perform the job. Windows did recognize that there was a SAMSUNG disk in the enclosure, but the migration tool didn't. Did not have this issue earlier with a Crucial disk, though, using a similar setup, using Crucial Migration software. Please review your Migration software. Thanks (hence the 4-stars).

Just to experiment, I cut down the RAM to half size, and I did not notice any performance degradation. This is amazing. I will go ahead and switch harddrives in my other laptops with the Samsung 970 EVO plus. I would surely recommend this to anyone who wants to improve their laptop or desktop performance.

We had a high end computer built for us and this drive was in it. We have now had it replaced twice but I do not want to send the whole computer across the US again as shipping is ridiculous. We had the drive replaced locally and came for a warranty (since we have had it a little over two years) but since we did not buy the drive (we bought a computer) there is no proof of purchase and the builder did not itemize components - and since it has already been replaced once before (I have had the computer less than four years) even that information would be inaccurate. I have switched brands.

my samsung 970 evo plus 500gb nvme m.2 is no doubt the best ssd! i've used mine since shortly after it first came out and i've used/use others as well. my 970 still scores top speeds on tests where as other ssds i use tend to get worn out and slow down over time. i ran smartctl yesterday and my 970 has 51 tb written and still scores 2,900-3,200 reads/writes when tested. i believe it will live up to the 300tbw lifespan that the 500gb has. sure is good nowadays to be able to trust that something works because many are a let down but not samsung! excellent ssds! highly recommend!!

We needed more space. We love to travel and take tons of pictures have and videos that we want to keep safely. I have previously lost pictures with my laptop not working. We got this Samsung memory card and put in an external shell. It is amazing!! We were able to add all of our photographs and videos of all our vacation destinations and have room to add stuff (next destination : Thailand) The interface is very easy to use and the files are simple to access. This is a fantastic product and I will recommend it to anyone looking to save their precious files of any type.

My computer is fairly new, with latest processor and motherboard. I added more RAM, but I only observed minimal improvement in the performance. I never thought my SSD could be the bottleneck. After I added the Samsung 970 EVO plus M2 drive, the performance improved significantly, the sep up was extremely easy. My computer boots way too fast, programs open lot quicker now, and switching programs are almost instantaneous. Just to experiment, I cut down the RAM to half size, and I did not notice any performance degradation. This is amazing. I will go ahead and switch harddrives in my other laptops with the Samsung 970 EVO plus. I would surely recommend this to anyone who wants to improve their laptop or desktop performance.

Do not buy this SSD. It claims to have a lifespan of 600 TBW, but after only 62 TB of writes, its health dropped to critical mode. The SSD locked itself, and now it’s completely write-protected — I can only copy my files from it, but can’t use it for anything else. Luckily, I had another SSD from a different (and cheaper) brand that I bought around the same time. I managed to transfer most of my files there and recover them. After 1–2 years, this SSD became useless, while the cheaper one I bought at the same time is still in “Good” health and works perfectly.

No problems or hiccups especially with my being a video editor, I need reliability and this drive doesn't slow down when it gets hot--even when I've been editing for over 3 hours! I plan on ordering another one soon to replace the Crucial drive I currently have in the my system. My PC has a 120 gig SSD connected via sata. I want more storage with a PCIe x4 data connection. I purchased the Samsung 970 EVO and plugged it into my motherboard in the m.2 slot. The problem came when I ran the Samsung Migration software. It errors out when it tries to migrate the data from the SSD to the 970 - very disappointing. The Samsung website offers no support. When I search the internet, I find that many other people have the same issue and recommend using other migration software. Samsung needs to address this problem.

Now honestly the PS4 is a great system and is fast and good with storage. But I never realized how much better could be with the Samsung 907 EVO plus M2 drive. Everything ever since has improve which is a bit mind boggling. Obviously storage is expected with 250GB but also performance, speed and gaming experience was so much better. And its quite easy to replace and set up, there are many YouTube videos out there to replace your hard drive with and SSD that have detailed step by step instructions. I would highly recommend this product to everyone not only those who want to improve gaming experience like I did but also for those who want to improve their experience on a computer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my computer starts in under 10 seconds from a cold start and a restart is like 3-4 seconds. Applications open up in an instant. Processing happens in blink of an eye like 3d designing using CAD. All this was possible after switching to the 970 Evo plus SSD 1 TB. I have it installed in the NVME M2 slot and did install a heatsink with an active fan on it. A few months ago, the fan died and I was afraid of overheating. But as it turns out, the existing ventilation in my tower casing is enough with just the heatsink on the SSD. I was so impressed with this SSD, that i brought more and changed my laptops to this SSD from a 3.5 inch SSD! I have become so comfortable with my fast and crisp computer that now I get frustrated in my office as the computer there is "slow". Don't say you weren't warned!

With my old system and a 850 Evo as my boot disk, my boot time was 8-9 seconds. Now that's 32gb ram, 4790k CPU and gigabyte z97x Mobo. With a Asus Maximus hero xi, 9900k, 64gb trident ddr3000 and a 970 Evo plus....15-16 seconds. Have tried clean install and only drivers updates and still the same. Samsung magician states the drive is running at advertised speeds so not gonna hammer the issue but this being my first experience with m2 drives and I'm not that impressed. Maybe I'm missing something but temps are not a issue, stability not a issue, 970 drivers not a issue and OS integrity not a issue...nor bios settings. I would rate it a 3 star but it works and by no means is it slow but to double my boot time rates it at 3.5(4) stars. Would I recommend anybody buy a m2 drive over a standard SSD? Nope.

But now I'm able to work & i have like an endless supply of memory. Files transfers in & out with ease and with a quickness I haven’t found in other memory cards. I definitely have a better sense of security knowing things wont get deleted and will be there later.

It's super fast on our computer and the computer was already fast but this.......... this took fast to another level.  I'm only speaking word of mouth because my boyfriend put it in his computer that he built but it was an easy install and the storage capacity was just what he needed. It has yet to overheat so that's a really good thing too because he's ALWAYS on the computer doing studio stuff. I'd definitely recommend this product.

where can we see the compatability information? i'm using a fairly new dell g5 15 se 5505, with a ryzen 9 4900h. it currently has a 1tb ssd and an empty slot for a 2nd ssd. i would rather upgrade the machine by putting this in that vacant slot instead of adding a 2nd dell ssd. it calls for a m.2 pcie nvme class 40 2280, which i see this is (except the class 40 part i am not sure about). does that automatically mean that i can use this one in my machine?

Werking zonder meer goed. Punt van aandacht is migratie software. Deze meldt dat eerst de Samsung_NVM_Express_Driver_3.3 ginstalleerd moet worden, maar dat mislukte omdat "de schijf niet was geplaatst" (was natuurlijk wel zo). Verwarring!!! Blijkt dat de driver geen noodzaak is. Gewoon genegeerd, data gemigreerd, ssd vervangen door mijn EVO 970 plus en systeem opgestart. Daarna driver geinstalleerd. Werkt als een trein.

so far the ssd is working very well. i have been trying to register my purchase but have been unable to log into my account. when i tried it said i needed to change the password. i have requested that but await response the program said email would be sent. i also have question about setting the sata express to m2. which i did but when i went back in to check the bios it had reverted to the sata express state

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super fast SSD for productivity and video editing I wanted to add this Samsumg SSD to my new Dell XPS 15 laptop computer. The factory SSD installed on the laptop was fairly quick, but the Samsung 970 EVO Plus is blazing fast! No other SSD can compare. With 500MB/s Seq. Read speeds and 2,300MB/s Seq. Write speeds, it makes multitasking and video editing a breeze. On my laptop, the read speeds were well over 2 gbps! My computer booted a lot faster, applications and programs loaded way quicker, and video post processing was almost 50% faster! I was so amazed by the performance. The only downside for me would be the storage capacity. I wish I had a 500gb or 1tb SSD. My laptop only has one slot on the motherboard so if I want more storage, I would need an external harddrive or upgrade this SSD to a bigger capacity. However all in all, this is the best SSD on the market today!

Speeds are easily that advertised (e.g. 1.6GB/s on image backup). Quality SSD and controller. Samsung Magician does not work, though the driver software does. After removing Intel RST, speeds increased to advertised. Make sure you are not using the Microsoft generic M.2 NVMe drivers (again for speed reasons). Wish it came with M.2 screw, but no OEM does either.

I have two of these drives in my pc, both with Gigabyte Heathsinks installed on top of them. Mainboard is Aeros Z390 Pro. One drives can reach 60 c during gaming and other reaches 54c - 57c during gaming and regular Windows 10 use. Samsung Magician says the drives run two hot. I have 4 x 120 mm fans in my system. Plus CPU is cooled by Noctua NS-D15.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I got this SSD, I thought for setup in my laptop but I wanted to test it out. I got a enclosure and installed it. The only problem I faced was instructions. They are very vague when it comes to how to install or download the software. Finally we figured to download the Samsung magician software after calling Samsung. And it worked. Even though Samsung magician is hard to understand with no instructions in the manual. It took us a while to set the SSD with the software. But once it was installed, it worked with amazing speed. I think 250 GB is perfect for my use. I made partitions on Samsung magician for my kids photos and business. Still tons of space. It is Fast, affordable and amazing. I never thought of its speed will be that awesome. I use this SSD as my home based business. Since I spend doing 98% of my work on laptop. This 970 evo plus SSD saved my life. Thank you Samsung. I am always impressed with your technological innovations.

geupgrade van van een hard drive naar een m.2 en dik tevreden met de opstart tijden van windows en andere programma's. installatie van de EVO 970 Plus 1tb ging zeer soepel door de meegeleverde instructies. Daarna overwogen om de migratie software van Samsung te gebruiken maar toch gegaan voor een compleet nieuwe installatie van windows.

This is my 4th NVMe EVO SSD and it does not disappoint. It is noticeably faster than my previous 970 EVO, which was also an excellent performer. Another great feature is the migration tool Samsung provides (download from web site). Transfer of Windows 10 system to the new drive took just 5 minutes and worked without a hitch.

i got this to replace my 250 gb drive that came with my computer. after three weeks i find the 970 evo plus to be much quicker than the stock drive. in addition, quality is much better as the stock drive was built with minimum quality parts. i definitely recommend this drive if (like me) the 980 pro is out your price range.

Wahnsinn, wie schnell Windows jetzt rennt. Vorher mit HDD, nun mit NVMe SSD. Die Daten (3500MB/s lesen usw.) werden bei mir sogar noch übertroffen, es wird also absolut gehalten, was versprochen wurde. Außerdem läuft die SSD angenehm kühl was einem viel Vertrauen gibt. Ich kann nur dazu raten, die zu kaufen! Top P/L! :-)

Je passe d'une autre marque au 970evo plus 1To. La vitesse de lecteur et d'écriture est impressionnante évidemment le pc est bien plus rapide. En effet il chauffe beaucoup il faut ajouter un dissipateur SSD M2 (sans retirer les étiquettes) je tombe en charge a maximum 42 degrés.

After reviewing the bench marks of the 970 Evo Plus I purchased two of the M.2 SSD's & I must write, the improvements are there. If I had a CON it would not be against the SSD itself but the tool Magician; although a very good tool it does not allow access to M.2's.

I bought this in May 2019 and Smart data shows POWER ON COUNT 135, POWER ON HOURS 1915, TOTAL HOST READS 4593, TOTAL HOST WRITES 208885. Even Samsung Magician is showing 204TB written. This is a system drive in a light duty home computer used to browse internet.

Died few years later, wont recommend Samsung SSDs anymore. The a batch of 9xx series have firmware issues from factory, the average joe isnt going to know they need update the firmware and use it. Google Samsung ssd firmware issue and just get another SSD brand.

Product een aantal dagen gekocht om OS en games op te zetten. Alles gaat nog vlotter dan een sata SSD. Zeer tevreden. Installeren stelde ook niks voor
