Die neueste Generation der V-NAND-Technologie sorgt für eine herausragende Leistung und verbesserte Energieeffizienz. Do not buy this SSD. It claims to have a lifespan of 600 TBW, but after only 62 TB of writes, its health dropped to critical mode. The SSD locked itself, and now it’s completely write-protected — I can only copy my files from it, but can’t use it for anything else. Luckily, I had another SSD from a different (and cheaper) brand that I bought around the same time. I managed to transfer most of my files there and recover them. After 1–2 years, this SSD became useless, while the cheaper one I bought at the same time is still in “Good” health and works perfectly.

Died few years later, wont recommend Samsung SSDs anymore. The a batch of 9xx series have firmware issues from factory, the average joe isnt going to know they need update the firmware and use it. Google Samsung ssd firmware issue and just get another SSD brand.

We had a high end computer built for us and this drive was in it. We have now had it replaced twice but I do not want to send the whole computer across the US again as shipping is ridiculous. We had the drive replaced locally and came for a warranty (since we have had it a little over two years) but since we did not buy the drive (we bought a computer) there is no proof of purchase and the builder did not itemize components - and since it has already been replaced once before (I have had the computer less than four years) even that information would be inaccurate. I have switched brands.

Bought this less than a year ago and was very impressed with the performance. All of a sudden one day windows wouldn't boot up. Swapped out another hard drive and reinstalled windows on that instead. Booted it up, detects the 970 Evo 1tb in the bios, but when I go to windows there is nothing. Was able to open the drive momentarily through "this pc" but nothing could be opened or moved or changed. Tried to format and would not let me. Drive is set to read only and I cannot take it off. Samsung magician detects it and its running a scan now, getting all sorts of bad sectors. Trying to figure out how the warranty works on this because this drive should not be dead already.

It is True Performance is awesome and speeds are real Gaming on this NVMe is the best fun. I am aware faster ones already come out for newer Motherboards but I EVGA Z490 Dark and love it how samsung makes such great products. I just receieved just today 02/22/2023.... 2TB Version of same one.

i bought 970 evo plus 1tb ssd a month ago nearly im very impressed with its performance its speed is as advetised even a bit more (read/write) its my second samsung ssd i use one as boot drive(980 pro 500 gb) but my pc is also decent enough (sadly not pcie 4 but still ok ish) specs 9700kf 32 gb ram 500gb samsung 980 pro 500 gb 1tb 970 evo plus 1tb motherboard asus prime z390 m plus (pcie 3 sadly but still very fast for me) overall samsung is great brand i use samsung phones for years i never had problems with any samsung product .even my old pc ram is samsung 2gb (been using it for over 10 years ) samsung is very good

my samsung 970 evo plus 500gb nvme m.2 is no doubt the best ssd! i've used mine since shortly after it first came out and i've used/use others as well. my 970 still scores top speeds on tests where as other ssds i use tend to get worn out and slow down over time. i ran smartctl yesterday and my 970 has 51 tb written and still scores 2,900-3,200 reads/writes when tested. i believe it will live up to the 300tbw lifespan that the 500gb has. sure is good nowadays to be able to trust that something works because many are a let down but not samsung! excellent ssds! highly recommend!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my computer starts in under 10 seconds from a cold start and a restart is like 3-4 seconds. Applications open up in an instant. Processing happens in blink of an eye like 3d designing using CAD. All this was possible after switching to the 970 Evo plus SSD 1 TB. I have it installed in the NVME M2 slot and did install a heatsink with an active fan on it. A few months ago, the fan died and I was afraid of overheating. But as it turns out, the existing ventilation in my tower casing is enough with just the heatsink on the SSD. I was so impressed with this SSD, that i brought more and changed my laptops to this SSD from a 3.5 inch SSD! I have become so comfortable with my fast and crisp computer that now I get frustrated in my office as the computer there is "slow". Don't say you weren't warned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been over 2 years and this drive is working more so than I expected! No problems or hiccups especially with my being a video editor, I need reliability and this drive doesn't slow down when it gets hot--even when I've been editing for over 3 hours! I plan on ordering another one soon to replace the Crucial drive I currently have in the my system. I've installed 2 other drives in my laptop and my parent's computer and most products can not compete with the performance of your drives. Thank you SAMSUNG for your making dependable products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the ssd to be the main storage for my operating system on my new pc and primary storage since i didnt buy another or a hard drive, but the speeds are crazy fast. im i play the same games as on my ps4 (Borderlands pre,2,3, outriders new horizion, watchdogs, fallout 4, and i usually have to wait like a min or so during screen transitions or cut scenes and would usually check my phone during this time but i cant do that with these high speeds. The transitions stick around for like 3 seconds and im back in. I got it before the 980 came out but im planning on getting it anyways and switching the primary storage for those fast load times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this nvme ssd card because it is blazingly fast. I couldn't imagine my OS on a regular ssd or a especially a standard hard drive. Knowing that it is of the best quality and backed by an excellent warranty, which Samsung is known for, I can sleep at night like a baby. I love my computer even more. Also, I am really into Samsung's Magician software.

i got this to replace my 250 gb drive that came with my computer. after three weeks i find the 970 evo plus to be much quicker than the stock drive. in addition, quality is much better as the stock drive was built with minimum quality parts. i definitely recommend this drive if (like me) the 980 pro is out your price range.

i wanted to upgrade my storage on my desktop, but when i turned on my pc it says "boot device not found". i don't have any other hard drives, i went to hp bios and hp support, but nothing helped. am i doing something wrong?

Ahmed: I’m very sorry for the difficulties you’ve experienced with your 970 EVO Plus SSD not being recognized. We completely understand your frustrations, and we are here to help. There are several reasons why this may be happening. 1. Your PC may fail to detect the SSD automatically; please search for new devices in Windows Device Manager. 2. When Hot Plug-in for each port in BIOS settings is set to Off by default, Windows may fail to detect the SSD. In this case, reboot the system, enter BIOS setup, and go to the configuration menu to ensure that Hot Plug-in for each port is set to "Enable“. How to enter BIOS setup for different mainboards: • GIGABYTE -->F12, ASUS --> F8, ASRock --> F11, Biostar --> F9, MSI --> F11, Intel --> F10 3. When SSD is not properly connected, the system may fail to detect the SSD. Disconnect and reconnect 4. When the partition has not been defined, it may cause failure in detecting the SSD. Go to Device Manager to set up a partition, format the drive, and then reboot. • Management> Disk Management> Select SSD> Set up partition and format.
