Superschnelle Datenübertragung

Mit der T7 kannst du riesige Datenmengen innerhalb weniger Sekunden mit USB 3.2 der 2. Generation übertragen. Dank der eingebauten PCIe-NVMe-Technologie sind dabei sequenzielle Übertragungsgeschwindigkeiten von bis zu 1.050 MB/s Lesen und bis zu 1.000 MB/s Schreiben möglich. Die T7 ist damit beinahe doppelt so schnell wie das Vorgängermodell T5.1

Robuster Schutz gegen Datenverlust

Die T7 ist ein sogenanntes Solid-State-Drive(SSD)-Laufwerk und hat im Inneren keine beweglichen Teile. Dank ihres robusten Metallgehäuses können deine Daten einen Sturz aus bis zu zwei Metern Höhe unbeschadet überstehen.2 Darüber hinaus kann der Zugriff mit einem Passwort auf Basis von AES 256-Bit-Hardwareverschlüsselung geschützt werden. Ein Plus an Sicherheit, zu dem auch die dreijährige Herstellergarantie von Samsung beiträgt.3

Automatisch geschützt gegen Überhitzung

Probleme durch zu hohe Arbeitstemperaturen hast du damit kaum. Die T7 setzt beim Temperaturmanagement ganz auf die Encapsulated Phase Change Materials (ePCM) sowie die Dynamic-Thermal-Guard-Technologie. Dies sorgt dafür, dass die T7 nicht unangenehm heiß wird und selbst bei hoher Beanspruchung ihre optimale Betriebstemperatur beibehält.4

As I watch helplessly, it seems like everything is happening in slow-motion. When my SSD hit the pavement, it hit the very corner and edge of the device and continued spinning and I was sure it was now broken and useless...But do you know, what? when I picked it up finally, there wasn't even a scratch AND it worked perfectly! TY for such a durable device.

External storage does not work well for Android phones and tablets. My experience with the t7 for the galaxy s8 ultra tablet, the volume is recognized, but a message appears every once in a while asking you to restart the tablet, and the device is disconnected more than once. As for the s23 ultra, the t7 never connects to the device and does not recognize it, and the link to the program that came with the box is not compatible with the type, and even the application in Google does not recognize the external storage unit. Likewise, with the s21 ultra, the s8+, and the oppo z2, the same problem was that the connection was unstable.

I have the one terabyte version of the t7, and I share it between my entire family. Between the use of all of my family members, this storage unit has been able to store all of our photos, and be durable enough to withstand any sort of situation we put it in so far. This portable storage device has been amazing in terms of storing photos from our Samsung devices, and from storing photos and videos from our professional cameras. Because of the USB-C port, and the amazing included cables, we are able to transfer photos and videos extremely quickly.

It even comes with two cables to plug into with a standard USB to USB-C or USB-C to USB-C. All you have to do is plug it in and run the software install file that pops up. Setup even let's you encrypt the drive for privacy or you can leave it off if you wish. Deciding if you want to encrypt or not is the hardest part of setup and use. Samsung has done it again! The drive doesn't get too hot and maintains its speed without over heating because of its thermal control feature it has. The T7 is very compact and lightweight for easy transport and it won't take up too much storage space in your case.

I love the size and the fact that it comes with two different usb c cables. The encryption is nice. I like the security knowing that if I lose the drive I dont have to worry about the data on it. It fits in my backpack with my laptop and goes everywhere it does. I will say this. I would like to see a different finish on the drive that has a little stick to it. thats the only thing that comes to mind that needs improvement. love this little drive. 1 TB also :) an updae after I have been able to use the drive for a little bit. its fast, it doesnt get hot. the thermal control feature works well on this drive. I can leave in on my lap and it barely gets warm.

The device is very user-friendly, as you simply plug in the UBS cord to the computer and portable hard drive. I used the portable drive to back up my entire computer, and I used less than 30% of the available space on the drive. Bottom line: this device is easy to use, functional, has a lot of capacity, and copies folders and files relatively quickly. Samsung could have provided a sleeve or case to protect the portable harddrive.

I boot my laptop with the driver plugged into the USB port and am presented with a menu from which I can either boot Linux from the T7 or Windows from the internal SSD. The responsiveness of the drive is such that I feel as though I'm running Linux from an internal SSD. I love the drive. I've also got a 2TB drive about which I've not yet decided how I will put it to use. The drive is physically very small and very durable. I purchased a case that holds both drives securely.

i got this portable ssd t7 1t for christmas. first i don't know what is is or how to use it. trying to find the model and serial numbers was a challenge they are so small! then registering was not easy with all the password and secret code stuff that takes 16 tries to make it work. and i still don't know what to do with this thing! are there instructions anywhere? i got two wires with it. what do i do with them? why does this little device also require a password? passwords are a nightmare for me.

It doesn't disconnect randomly either, which is an issue I had with some of my thumb drives. Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone who takes lots of photos and want's some storage space. However, the reason why it's four stars for me is that transferring larger files or saving updated files does take a bit (as in hefty programs like clip studio pro and adobe after effects, etc.)

However, if you are trying to swap between the two, it's a data loss nightmare. You have to have a software for it to even show up on a Mac, and it has to be reformatted to be read - which wipes your data. Not reversible. Every other drive I've used has been ready to go in whatever you plug it into, so this was a shock and made my data transfer a lot harder than it needed to be.

The T7 is pre-formatted in using exFAT file system which is supported by Windows OS, MAC OS, and Android operating systems. When using exFAT across multiple operating systems, data writing may become locked and you may only be able to read data. If such a problem occurs, you can restore write access by following the instructions below: - Mac OS: Connect T7 to your Mac again, and perform Eject - Windows OS: When the notice pops up saying that write access is disabled, click “Scan and fix” to perform Check Disck (CHKDSK). If you did shut down the notice without performing Check Disk, you may do it by delecting the drive -> Right click -> Properties -> Tools -> click Check. Nothing negative to say and love these drives! My only comment is that despite the fact that the ExFat default formatting will technically work on a Mac, in reality many applications do not like it and it can cause issues. Unless you have a need to use it on both a Mac and Windows machine and/or Android device I recommend just immediately reformatting to APFS using Disk Utility.

Voorheen gebruikte ik altijd externe HDD's voor het opslaan van data. Normaliter is dit prima. Nu wilde ik echter een backup maken van vrij veel data voor een herinstallatie, en het heeft zo ontzettend lang geduurd voordat al deze data eindelijk eens weggeschreven was... Met deze externe SSD heb ik daar geen last meer van! Kopiëren van data gaat nu veel sneller! Vooral folders met veel kleine bestandjes wisten mijn HDD op zijn knieën te krijgen, maar niet deze SSD! Ook het formaat is veel kleiner dan ik dacht! Ongeveer ter grootje van een pasje, maar dan iets dikker. Super makkelijk mee te nemen dus! Ook ben ik niet meer bang om het ding mee te nemen in mijn tas, iets dat toch altijd wel knaagde met mijn HDD's, vanwege de bewegende delen en de gevoelige aard van HDD's. Al met al zeer tevreden, ook al zijn deze SSD's nog steeds wel wat duurder dan HDD's. Je krijgt er voor deze hogere prijs immers wel meer voor terug!

Ik had al de variant met 1TB. Maar doordat hij goed was, zat hij zo vol. Daarom deze ter uitbreiding gekocht. Echt fijn dat er twee soorten (goede) snoertjes bij zitten. Samsung says this drive is compatible with Macintosh OS but if you do a search on Apple Support Community you'll find most Mac users using Sonoma (the current version) are unable to mount the drive on their Macs. It really is false advertising by Samsung to say that this drive works with a Mac - because it doesn't.

Worse than no drive. After only weeks of use it already randomly disconnects or won't connect, making data transfer a huge pain if not impossible. It's a complete toss-up whether or not this will do anything when I plug it in. I will never buy a Samsung product again.

Easy to use, fast download, and plenty of space on the 1tb storage. Ive had a couple accidental drops and it is not even phased.

Prima ding, mooi klein, voelt nog wel aan als een stevig product. Netjes zowel een C naar C usb als een A naar C. Is voor de meeste dingen lekker vlot met bestanden overzetten. Iets wat duur, maar als je het veel gebruikt is het zeker de prijs waard.

Producten van Samsung zijn uitstekend, Alles werkt prima en zal lang meegaan, heb veel Samsung producten en alles gaat lang mee. Is allemaal veel beter dan Apple bijvoorbeeld, werkt ook gewoon met windows en kan je op verschillende apparaten gebruiken

So far so good! I prioritize easier connectivity and having USB-C connectivity makes it quite a nice option. Transfer speeds are not exclusively great and the material is no way mold-free, I still like how compact and lightweight it feels.
