Normally, we would have to crank the TV volume up and down to get a continuous consistent sound but with this soundbar, our TV experience has been blown through the roof and the sound quality is out of this world. The subwoofer is lightweight and easily tucked aside; does not take up much room at all. The best part about this soundbar is the Bluetooth connectivity allowing us to connect our smartphones and stream some music creating a family dance party in our living room with some of the best sound!! This product has made the family movie nights much more enjoyable.

As soon as I connected the soundbar to my (very expensive) TV and I played a video I was shocked. I never knew soundbars could make such a difference in the viewing experience. My family now is disappointed in me because I didn't buy a soundbar earlier :) I have always liked Samsung products but the HW-Q800B/ZA made my confidence in Samsung products even stronger. The soundbar is not cheap but the experience it provides is worth the price you pay. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality soundbar that plays along well with other devices, and streaming services.

I don't know how they do it, but the speaker positioning really does a great job at making it sound like you have more speakers than just the soundbar and subwoofer. We ended up also purchasing the rear speakers for an even fuller experience, but it's definitely not required to get great sound. All levels of sound are clear as well. I can't imagine you'd need any soundbar with more speakers than this one (unless it came with the rear speakers) because this is plenty loud enough and at max volume it's extremely loud but also clear. Additionally, it has eArc for the best quality sound from your source. If you're researching the best soundbar for you, I'd end the search here.

You can literally hear the sound coming from different parts of my TV while watching movies or shows. Amazing! The subwoofer has a deep powerful bass that complements the lows from the speaker. Easy to control through SmartThings app. Love the tap option to flow the music from your phone straight to the speaker. I feel the Alexa works just fine, sometimes it doesn't hear me, I have to repeat myself.

Quando funciona, o som é muito bom. Porém, Alexa não funciona e por muitas vezes a Soundbar perde conexão com a TV e é necessário desligar da tomada, do contrário nada funciona. Fiz a compra alguns meses atrás e após a instalação, a Alexa funcionou somente uma única vez, encaminhei para manutenção da Samsung que alegou não haver peça de reposição e reembolsou valor. Fiz a aquisição de novo Soundbar (mesmo modelo) e exatamente o mesmo problema ocorreu; EXATAMENTE o mesmo: Alexa funciona apenas uma única vez e nunca mais, além das recorrentes desconexões com a TV que te obrigam a desligar e religar o aparelho da tomada. Enfim, uma ilusão total… decepção.

I was amazed by the sound, it sounded so similar to when you go into an entertainment center store and the sounds so perfect there but when you get home, it’s completely different. Well look no further this brand is outstanding and the sound quality is going to make your jaw drop. If you’re a gamer this is a must have. The size of the subwoofer is a perfect fit. The volume is extremely high and continues to sound great and I would say it can actually host a bigger gathering/party, if in case that’s what you’re looking for. I’m very pleased and happy. I made the selection. It will work great for my family and not to mention when it comes to family movie night I know that subwoofer is going to scare the living crap out of us when it comes to a scary movie.

Its Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies deliver room-filling, dimensional sound that is incredibly lifelike. The design is sleek and modern, making it a striking addition to any entertainment setup. For our first movie, we took the soundbar for a spin watching the Musical, The Color Purple. The speakers did a great job enveloping the cricket sounds in the scenes were the characters were in the woods. You felt as if the crickets were truly around you. The highlight of the whole system is the massive subwoofer, offering a rich, and clean bass. The sound bar is also feature rich easily connecting to our whole house google Home speaker group, offers Amazon Alexa which we had never used prior to this. Additionally, while the system does not have rear speakers, the detailed sound profile allows you to avoid having them, keeping clutter to a minimum while still offering a sound rich experience. The soundbar is definetly heavy but we were still able to mount it under the TV using 3rd party VESA mounts.

We bought the Samsung Q800B Soundbar to replace a dated surround system that, even though was in good condition, it lacks most of the features we now have with our new sound system. First, the set up was fairly simple. We chose to connect the soundbar to our Samsung TV via HDMI Arc with the provided HDMI cable, to get the best sound experience possible. Once connected, the TV recognized the new device immediately and we were able to change the settings to better fit the space. One piece of advice is to link the Soundbar to the Smart Things app to have a better experience setting up all the features. After all that, we also connected other devices to it using the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi options and, even though the sound is still great, we know we made the right choice using the HDMI Arc connection to the TV. We have been playing a lot of movies, specially action movies, and the sound is amazing! Mi kids have also played some video games and you can really hear the smallest details. The sound fills up the room without any distortion. The subwoofer is powerful and you can also set it up to perfectly fit the space without taking away from the rest of the sounds. In summary, easy set-up, great connectivity and spectacular sound! We now know we made the right decision to upgrade our sound system and we are very satisfied with our purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the Samsung Q800B Soundbar today and quickly set it up. Easy to unpack and setup. Fit perfectly with my existing TV and connected via Bluetooth. In a previous soundbar I had a lag with the video and audio on Bluetooth but with the Samsung Q800B Soundbar I did not notice any lag. Put in one of my favorite DVDs to test the sound during one of the naval battles and was impressed at the range of sound. This is definitely NOT a wimpy sound bar. Bass and treble are more than adequate but still learning the nuances to get that perfect blend. Also ran a quick test with the PS5 and was blown away by the game mode sound. The music was crisp, and the battles made you feel like you were in the middle of the action. The bass was definitely noticeable and felt good. No complaints so far. I have a lot more testing to do but first impressions have been good. Now I wish I had gone with the higher end model. LOL. Day 2. There was a noticeable difference between the sound running on Bluetooth and WIFI. It was significantly louder on WIFI than Bluetooth. It has a lot fuller sound as well go thru Wi-Fi at least for cable TV. I switched between Bluetooth and Wi-Fi several time just to be sure I wasn't imagining it. I did the same for game mode and didn't notice any variation with sound from game console. Overall, after two days I say would say its rock solid. Easy install and configure and great sound quality.

The package you receive will have the soundbar, subwoofer, mounting brackets (to mount on wall if you choose), cables for a normal hookup, and remote. If you're needing the optical hookup you will need to purchase separately. The subwoofer, is amazing and most of the time we're running at -6 because it is so deep. Although, if you really want to rock you can go to +6 and that's a full on concert in your house along with shaking! Concert like experience or movie theater experience from this!! You can choose surround, standard, or adaptive sound with the sound mode button. Our preference is adaptive for a nice, clear crisp sound. By pressing the tone control button on the remote you get to adjust the tremble and bass to your preferences. With the channel level button on the remote, you can adjust the side, front, and center speakers individually on the sound bar to optimize the sound in the room. My favorite is watching music videos on tv, the sound makes me feel like I'm at the concert. It's unbelievable!! Voice enhanced feature is an option that provides a very clear sound. Night mode is a great feature that turns the bass down and is a more relaxed softer sound. Installation was super easy, subwoofer is already paired to the soundbar. Highest quality device that we've ever used and Samsung is amazing!! We listened to music and watched movies and it felt like we were a new level for sound!

The next thing i realized after setting it on my tv stand is how good looking it is. The installation was extremely easy. Just hook the hdmi to the Earc port on my tv and plugged in the power. The tv and soundbar did the rest of the setup for me. Now for the sound. I started off watching an f1 race and the sound was incredible. Nice and clear and a MAJOR improvement over my tvs built in speakers. Speaking of my tvs speakers this soundbar supports Q-symphony which uses you tvs speakers to farther enhance the surround effect of the sound bar. This combination along with the upward and side firing speakers and it sound like your at the race with engine noise echoing from all around you. A future this soundbar has that I didn't initially realize is that it will actually make the voices of people speaking on the tv louder if it senses the room is noisy. It's subtle but it's definitely there. I believe it's called active voice amplifier. Next thing I tried out was some music. This is where the clear and crisp sound really shined through. I regularly listen to piano and classical violin and the soundbar was great for this. There is also I feature called soudfit pro which is supposed to adjust the volume and firing of the speakers to fit the room. It didn't make much difference for me but my sound bar is in a very large open kitchen/living area. Overall I was extremely impressed with the overall quality and sound of the device. I would definitely recommend it for someone looking to improve the stock speakers on there tv.

However, once I heard how amazing this sound bar sounds, I replaced my 2020 9-channel Samsung soundbar in my living room with this soundbar and put the 9 channel system in the basement. I couldn't believe how great this soundbar sounds for just 5 channels. I did end up also purchasing the rear speakers (SWA-9500S) to get a full surround sound, 7 channel experience However, do not feel like that is needed as this soundbar's side and up facing speakers do a fantastic job of emulating surround sound with the help of some of Samsung's newest technology that they put in this thing. It truly is impressive that this soundbar sounds as good if not better than the "more premium" 9 channel system. All levels of sound are clear, and I love all the tuning capabilities that are accessible both on the remote and with more options in the Smart Things app. Another small quality of life improvement feature I enjoy is the tap to play feature that I use with my Galaxy phone to quickly play whatever I'm listening to on my phone. Another reason I replaced my old system with this one is how premium it looks. I love the hard grills on it and the slightly visible speakers through the front. And the screen is invisible when off and easy to read from the couch when changing the volume. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this soundbar and if I had one comment for something to improve it would be to have more HDMI inputs as there's only 1 input and 1 output. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My significant other is adamant about his electronics (toys) and I hate to say it, but it's rubbed off on me over the years. I didn't even know the difference between a general soundbar and a full surround sound experience, I thought they were all the same with minor improvements and whatnots, similar to an updated mobile phone. But, thanks to Samsung's HW-Q800D Soundbar with Dolby Atmos/DTS:X, I can confidently say, I’ve seen the light. But that’s enough of my awakening and revelation of soundbars and their capabilities, so here it goes. For starters, this unit is definitely heftier than most soundbars I’ve dealt with in the past, especially to the prior Sony soundbar we’ve been using over the years, but even with its heft, it is sleek and very adaptable to most set ups. And I’ll be honest, I was skeptical about the whole “Dolby Atoms” title on a two speaker set up since a good handful of companies are utilizing the technology, but wow was I wrong to doubt what Samsung’s been able to produce with this HW-Q800 line. At certain points, it feels like sorcery, it’s amazing to me how immersive of a feel they’re able to produce with this product with just a soundbar and a subwoofer, it really feels like there are more speakers in the room when there really aren’t. Additionally, for those individuals who want an even more immersive feel, you have the to option of adding rear speakers offered by Samsung to this unit if you choose. Before I go further into some of the stand out features of this device, I must state that having a compatible Samsung TV will definitely increase your experience with the Q-Symphony feature, but I digress. This unit supports 4K HDR passthrough as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity. You can control the unit with the provided remote control or with the use of Samsungs SmartThings app as well as your preferred voice assistants. Also, if you happen to be a gamer, you’re in luck since the HW-800D comes preinstalled with several sound modes including a Game Mode, so you’ll have a good time with that, or you can customize it to your liking depending on what you’re actually attempting to utilize it for, so everyones a winner in that regard. Other than that, I won’t bore you with additional specifications and my opinions about the Samsung HW-Q800D Soundbar with Dolby Atmos/DTS:X. Instead, what I would recommend is to take it for a test drive yourself, since hearing is believing, and for what it’s worth, I will admit, I definitely am a believer now.

Há alguns dias fiz uma avaliação e pediram para que entrasse em contato com o suporte via chat, porém o mesmo não conseguiu resolver e pediu para que levasse o aparelho para a assistência técnica. Com dois dias me ligaram, falando que não tinha peça de reposição e queriam devolver o dinheiro, mas informei que queria o aparelho. Ontem retirei um novo aparelho na caixa, porém como não era surpresa ao atualizar para o firmware atual 1008.2 os defeitos apareceram novamente. É um excelente aparelho, fiz todos os testes no firmware 1006.1 e funcionou tudo perfeitamente, som excelente, Alexa ok, mas depois. Não sei por que a Samsung não corrige este firmware em caráter de urgência. Vou aguardar mais um pouco para ver se sai uma nova atualização. Se você for comprar acesse pelo SmartThings e coloque para não atualizar automaticamente até que tenha um novo firmware.

Há 2 meses com o produto. Alexa não funciona, para poder usar tem que desligar e ligar pela tomada, o controle físico não responde, botões físicos não funcionam, para ligar tem que ligar a tv e as vezes não conecta na tv pelo e-Arc, muitos bugs. Quando funciona o som é muito bom, mas comprei por causa da Alexa embutida e me arrependi, pois não funciona. Pelo jeito e problema de firmware. Ligado à TV Samsung 55Q60B pelo cabo HDMI que acompanha a Soundbar.

Comprei o produto há alguns meses, o som é agradável, sem agudo estridente e uma grande gama de funcionalidade. Após a última atualização do firmware começaram a aparecer os bugs, a alexa simplesmente parou de funcionar, a soundbar muitas vezes não responde aos comandos do controle, às vezes simplesmente fica muda e para resolver alguns dos bugs só retirando da tomada. E por incrível que pareça a samsung ainda não lançou uma nova atualização, descaso com os consumidores.

Samsung has brought the experience of being immersed in the movie right to your living room with the Dolby Atmos surround sound and Q-Symphony function!!! The set up was so simple and easy, I could do it on my own. From unboxing, universal connections, and setup, I was ready to roll in 30 minutes. Everything connected instantly to my TV without excessive bulky cables and remotes. The technology is next level! There is even a videogame mode that my kids cannot get over the effect it has on their game-play experience, feeling like they are right in the middle of the action. 10/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for an elevated at-home music, tv, movie-watching experience!!

Alexa não funciona, para poder usar tem que desligar e ligar pela tomada, o controle físico não responde, botões físicos não funcionam, para ligar tem que ligar a tv e as vezes não conecta na tv pelo e-Arc, muitos bugs. Quando funciona o som é muito bom, mas comprei por causa da Alexa embutida e me arrependi, pois não funciona, vive desconectando do wifi, já resetei várias vezes. Não recomendo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never purchased a soundbar or had one in our home and wanted to get the opportunity to put one upstairs in our loft area. The sound is incredible and we have listened to music on there as well as watched movies. I’m impressed with the quality considering the cost and would highly recommend this product. I’m excited to see the longevity of the product and test other features but as of now I’m quite happy with my purchase and would do it over again. Setup was also incredibly easy and the provided instructions were not hard to follow at all. The Q-symphony feature is my favorite in that it provides a deep and rich sound, especially when we are watching movies with the soundbar. Also the voice amplifier function is nice because as there is background noise im still able to hear audio clearly from what the soundbar is producing. Lastly the Dolby Atmos surround sound is some of the best out there, you get theater quality output for sound that captures low voices well and really amplifies the loud sounds too.

Comprei esse produto ja tem alguns meses, e minha satisfação com ele é bem positiva, a Alexa de inicio não funcionava, sempre bugava e dava problema de conexões na soundbar, mas depois do update 1010.0 que teve em janeirode 2023 eles corrigiram esse erro e hoje a Alexa funciona perfeitamente, hoje o produto funciona 100% podem comprar sem medo, e o grave dessa soundbar é coisa de outro mundo. Mas só tem um pequeno inconveniente, as vezes a Alexa da soundbar fica em inglês, tendo que entrar no app SmartThings e mudar a linguagem da Alexa por la para configurar ela pra português, mas por algum motivo ela eventualmente volta pro idioma inglês, fica um adendo para vocês.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I literally have a whole new appreciation for sounds now due to all the small little nuances and effects that are brought to life through Dolby Atmos or Dts:x. I've listened to my extensive music library now multiple times just since getting this beacuse quite simply not only does the music seem alive but honestly there are so many other cool effects I'd never heard in a song I had listened to hundreds of times even. Why!? Beacuse most speakers were not able to produce the sounds and if they were when they tried it wasn't clear and ran together with all the other noise. This soundbar is just great all around for music , movies and games and brings another level of depth with its crisp clear soundstage. A+

Quanto a qualidade se som, é média, a boombox 2 possui mais qualidade de som, não consigo usar alexa, o microfone ligado, já resetei já vinculei minha conta com a Amazon mas a soundbar não responde aos comandos.

I went to the store, checked them out, and determined the correct size for my manufactured home. As I am a part of a store's program for free install and guarantees, I decided to go for it. I was a little confused at first but when I finally figured out where I could switch between the TV speaker and the Q-bar, I truly was astounded at the difference. I am most satisfied with my purchase and always highly recommend Samsung products to anyone who asks. I have also used their watches (far better than all other brands I've used), tablets and all my phones have always been Samsung.

Comprei a Soundbar Q800B recentemente e o produto tem uma ótima qualidade de som. Assistir a um filme com ela ligada é uma experiência excelente. A ALEXA está funcionando perfeitamente. Inicialmente achei que a ALEXA não estava funcionando até perceber que ela vem por padrão no idioma inglês. É só baixar o aplicativo da ALEXA no celular, ir configurações e alterar o idioma para português Brasil. O fuso horário também tem que ser alterado para o Brasileiro.

Comprei há 2 meses e tive a infeliz ideia de atualizar o firmware... a soudbar precisa ser desligada e ligada da tomada para reconhecer a TV. Muda de fonte sozinha (hdmi earc, wifi) e se perde. As vez a TV volta para o alto falante. Q-Symphony não ativa, apesar dos aparelhos serem compatíveis. É um pesadelo...

Also dolby atmos sounds amazing but only if it's in the right mode and the content you're watching is dolby atmos Natively. It does not support d t s x which is a major disappointment. Also the subwoofer does not hit as hard as I would like. Q symphony capability is extremely limited and actually sounds worse if you are trying to get decent base. The only way to get decent sound is to hook it up to your wifi so that you can have control over the individual channels using the app. With my q95b TV with q symphony enabled I lose all control over sound quality, so that is now disabled. I won't buy another samsung sound bar unless they improve on the control and add dts x.

Muitos bugs. Quando funciona, o som é excelente. O problema é que funciona por poucos minutos, até perder conexão com a TV. Ao perder a conexão, não aceita inputs do controle, desconecta do wifi, fica muda, etc. Os mais diversos bugs. Só splucona retirando da tomada e colocando novamente. Não esperava isso num aparelho desse valor. E, pelo o que li na Internet, é um problema que afeta muitos usuários, não importa a data de compra. A Samsung precisa resolver esse problema. Estou extremamente insatisfeito.

The subwoofer packs quite the punch, be it for movies, games or even music! While the Samsung Smart Things app (which is what's used to manage the soundbar) is relatively easy to use, it unfortunately caused an error on the soundbar which prevented audio though after a quick call for their customer service, it was immediately addressed with a simple reset. I was watching Game of Thrones on this and it genuinely feels like you're right next to the characters!

It was super easy and quick to setup and the sound difference and quality is immediately noticeable. We love the bluetooth feature to connect to the TV so we don't have to use the cord that plugs directly into the TV. However, I will say it doesn't always stay connected, so you have to choose the setting to get back to the bluetooth connection. The base sound is really great, without being too overwhelming. I notice the volume number is way lower than what we used to have it on because the sounds is so much louder. We plan to add a few additional smaller speakers that we can put outside that connects, too!

The Samsung HW-Q800D is meant to replace an older 2.1 soundbar that vastly lacked in volume and surround features. Can the Samsung HW-Q800D make a difference in such a voluminous space? Let me tell you that it can and then some. First off, let’s talk about connectivity. If you have HDMI eARC on your TV, connect it there, and you are off to the races. If you want Bluetooth connectivity to your phone or tablet, that’s also easy enough as well. Finally, if you want to connect to WiFi to make it a smart speaker with Google Assistant, Alexa, or Bixby that’s easy enough with the Samsung SmartThings app. The sound stage for the HW-Q800D truly does impress even in a large room such as mine. I tested the surround channels through my gaming console settings, and the sound bar’s ability to produce discrete locations for sound that clearly defined height and depth truly is astounding. Credit goes to SpaceFit Sound Pro for being able to calibrate the space in my room for the optimal listening experience. I watched various movies and programs to test the sound quality and was truly amazed at the clarity of dialogue (even better with Active Voice Amplifier on), the rumble of bass from action scenes, and the fidelity of music from soundtracks. Believe me when I say it is a very enjoyable and immersive experience. I have found that even with streaming music and programming that only has 5.1 or stereo, this system makes everything sound all that much better. Now, the only drawback to this soundbar is if you truly wanted the extra surround stage with rear speakers. If your set-up does not require this, then this is truly the best choice for a single surround soundbar with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X capabilities.

I bought this sound bar several months ago and it has been a horrible experience. Distorted sound and sound dropping out occurs every time I watch tv. I have never had a consumer product that regretted purchasing as much as I regret purchasing this sound bar. It is so bad that I am thinking of just giving it away and getting a LG sound bar. Do not be fooled by all the 4's and 5's reviews given on the website. Do a Google search of "distorted sound and Samsung soundbar". That will give you a better idea of the quality of this sound bar.

There are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot your Soundbar. First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Next, update the firmware on your soundbar. The easiest way to accomplish this would be to download the SmartThings app and connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. This will allow you to not only download any firmware updates but also control your entire soundbar on the screen of your smart device. Alternatively, you can go download the software directly from Samsung's website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-Q800B under Q Series. Please also verify that you are running the latest firmware on your TV. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update. If you are still hearing distortion then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - (Volume UP/DOWN) buttons on the body at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset. In my master bedroom, this soundbar truly sings, whether watching a movie, playing games, or listening to music. Connecting to it via my SmartThings setup was a breeze, enabling ease of control. I do not have a 4k tv or Dolby Atmos compatible receiver, so I had to hook it up through my gaming device to be able to fully test and access the higher end sound features. From the confines of my large master bedroom, this unit truly performed without having to ramp up the volume, making you feel like you are wrapped up in the action from all sides. I definitely noticed differences in the settings between movies and gaming in my master bedroom setup. The downside for me was when I took it into my living room, which is a large open format ranch style space, with Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen and Front Room spaces all conjoined and flowing into each other. When hooked up in this space, I really had to turn up the volume to a point where it was too loud for others in the adjoining spaces in order for me to get the same surrounded feel from this soundbar as I had in my master bedroom space. SpaceFit Sound didn’t seem to help in this vacuous space, and toggling between the various sound options while playing different options: (IE: Movie, Gaming, or Music) felt like it had only super subtle difference in sound quality. It was in this larger sweeping space that my older surround sound system had better results with less volume required to envelop me. That being said, I still fully recommend this soundbar for all types of audio uses if you have a more conventional enclosed or smaller space. I will be moving this unit back into my bedroom or downstairs into my game room. But for those who have larger more open flowing spaces, this unit may not be the best fit/bang for the buck.

I Recommend without a Doubt 1 of the best surround sound systems I have bought and I have had no issues with it. It's simple to set up as well as linking it to your devices. So if you're in the market for a Audio System that's easy on the wallet as well as simple to use and is Extremely Great for Gaming and Quality of Sound during movies with your family or friends then this is the best bet! I have a few Samsung sound bars and I can't believe how Samsung keeps raising the bar (lol) every time. This soundbar shines with Dolby Atmos content, the immersion is surprisingly better than some home theater setups that are much more expensive. I wish there were more HDMI inputs on the soundbar and that it could support waking up when using a PC. But other than that, this soundbar has modern features that'll work in any smart home ecosystem.

This unit takes care of everything - sound quality is booming with the dedicated Subwoofer. Supporting Dolby Atmos and the immersive Q-Symphony experience (pairs with your compatible TV speakers) I cannot fault the sound quality or volume capabilities of this great soundbar so far! TV auto detected and configured bests settings for the soundbar and it was so easy that I was almost confused and didn't believe it!

I just bought this soundbar along with the Samsung qn65qn90b tv for the q symphony experience. I have connected it through the hdmi earc and I always set the sound mode on the tv for ..TV + hwq800b soundbar, however I often notice that the tv speakers(located on the upper back of the tv) do not play any sound. I am guessing that if I am watching a tv show in regular stereo mode the tv speakers do not output any sound because I have noticed that some sound is output from the tv speakers when I watch UHD movies. Can anyone confirm this? Otherwise the soundbar is pretty decent…I just wish the sound output from the tv speakers when engaged with the soundbar was better.

Hello JUqsymphony, Thank you for leaving a detailed review of your experiences with the HW-Q800B Soundbar. I am sorry that you have not been completely satisfied with your overall soundbar. When you are using Q-Symphony with the 65QN90B, those top left and top right speakers are designed to play Dolby Atmos content only. That is why you are hearing it when playing a 4K UHD movie, but not a regular TV show. The other speakers that are built into the TV will play when you are watching regular content. Keep in mind you can also improve your audio experience, the HW-Q800B features a wide range of sound modes and settings allowing you to fine-tune the sound to your liking. Pressing the SOUND CONTROL button on your remote allows you to select the desired sound effect. You can select Spacefit sound, AVA, Voice Enhance mode, Night mode, Sync, Surround speaker mode, and Virtual. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons. Alternatively, with the sound mode set to standard, press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer: 1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the level between -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in. 2) Adjust the bass or treble levels by pressing the TONE CONTROL button on the remote control. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons. I hope these tips help you enjoy your new product. My apartment is small so I have my TV (Samsung QN65S95D) mounted on an articulating mount with the soundbar mounted to the bottom of my TV so that they articulate together. This way I can put my TV "away" when it's not in use and turn it 90° and face the couch when I do use it. I have Q Symphony enabled and at first I didn't expect much but it really surprised me. I turned on DUNE Part Two and it just sounded so full with that beautiful score. I never turned it off. This is the closest to true surround sound coming from just a Bar/Sub I've ever heard. It works great for games too. All the way from my couch I can tell what direction things are happening from. All around it's been a great experience. My guests love my house for movie night!

This is the most incredible sound improvement I've ever made. I was hesitant at first due to the price point, but after 4 months, I'm ecstatic, couldn't be happier. I upgraded the TV to a 65" Roku Pro Series and decided to bump the sound as well. Old set up was thru a 2 channel receiver bookshelf spkrs, with an 8" woofer. The Q800D hooked right up to eArc port, and WOW! The clarity, punch, and definition on dialog, environment, and music is amazing. I actually had to back the bass off a tad for the room (and my neighbors). Blutoothed Pandora from my phone, cranked it, and even out at the sidewalk I was a very happy camper. I never imagined a soundbar surpassing receiver sound but the Q800D does, in spades (imho). I'm as satisfied as I could be, and you should really put this one on your list for consideration.

This does not reflect poorly on the product because I connected it to my TV directly and the sound is amazing. I was normally using a projector and the speakers on that were blown out. The speakers on the Samsung surround sound and the receiver are crystal clear and you can hear every sounds just like you’re in the movie theater. I do not know how I’ve been living without the surroundsound system it is the best sound that I have ever heard. It’s going to make me stay at home and watch movies instead of going to the movie theater. I would recommend this product to all my friends and family.

Set up is a breeze (according to my husband). It is Amazing, Love these speakers! Offering a rich and immersive experience, stunning mids and highs. Bass frequencies are tight and clear, not muddy. Its Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies deliver room-filling, dimensional sound that is incredibly lifelike. The clarity is amazing, I can only imagine how they’ll sound when my Q-Symphony Samsung TV arrived (Fatherday!). The design is sleek and modern and feel solid making it a striking addition to any entertainment setup. The sound bar is also feature rich easily connecting to our TV with an HDMI eARC and wirelessly with Amazon Alexa. Additionally, the wireless Sub make placement of the speaker a breeze-clutter free installation.

I finally gave in and can't believe I waited so long!! Looking back, I don't know how I watched a movie or my favorite tv shows without the immersive sound and superb quality of next level sound!! The Dolby Atmos sounds like I'm in the movie theatres!! Not only is the sound next level, there are so many other features that come with the Samsung HW-Q800D. The built in Alexa lets me turn down the volume on my kids' tv shows without having to hunt for the remote! The super sleek design fits in with the tv and there are no bulky wires and installation needed! I could just plug in and poof, amazing quality sound and Bluetooth capabilities!! To anyone hesitating if a soundbar is right for them, the Samsung HW-Q800D is a must for EVERYONE!!

For a home theater in a small to medium size room, it's hard to think of how additional capabilities would add any value. The soundbar has crystal clear sound and can get very loud. The sub provides rich low end and sounds amazing when you're glued to the screen watching a movie... it really gives the rumble which makes the scene more enjoyable. Já usando há duas semanas com o novo firmware 8010.0, os bugs, aparentemente foram resolvidos. A soundbar não trava mais ficando visível a tomo momento pelo Smarthings. Alexa está funcionando normalmente, que penso ser um dos principais motivos da compra da maioria. Pode atualizar sem medo. A conexão com a TV está bem estável agora.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my Q800d soundbar for movies and gaming, I'm in a "tiny home" with limited space and did not have room for a receiver and full setup of surround sound speakers. My TV's built in speakers did a decent job on their own but I missed the feel of a good surround sound system. What truly sold me on this setup was the wireless subwoofer. Since it doesnt need to be wired to the main speaker I was able to place the sub behind my chair easily where I had access to another power outlet. I put my soundbar setting on surround with SpaceFir Sound Pro turned on, played with the bass and treble a little bit and then basically havent changed any settings since. The soundbar volume is controlled by the tv, and I can use the smarthings android app for adjusting the soundbar settings when I want to play with it, so I've basically stored the remote in a drawer and never needed it again (I like to have a TV setup where I only need a singular remote for everything)

We have the Samsung S95D TV paired with the Samsung Q-series 5.1.5 HW-Q800D soundbar. They work great together; we love it when the TV and the soundbar are in the Q-Symphony sound mode. In the Q-Symphony sound mode we are utilizing both the TV speakers and Soundbar speakers together. The sound is awesome. The only thing that we would like to see in the near future is a software upgrade that would allow the Auto Volume control feature to be used when in the Q-Symphony mode. The Auto Volume control feature Is not available when using an external speaker. The Auto Volume feature equalizes the sound automatically so that the volume level remains the same when you change between channels and video sources.

The sound coming out of this unit is monumental, particularly for watching films. The great thing is you don’t need to have the unit particularly loud to take advantage of the effects. I had an issue setting it up which turned out to be a bad hdmi cable at my end, Samsung support were really helpful in talking through the troubleshooting not least as it was made more complex as I wasn’t fitting it to Samsung TV. All in all, it’s an impressive and well made piece of kit and I’m looking forward to revisiting many of my favorite films with the full impact of the soundtrack.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We previously had difficulty understanding voice clarity on several shows that we watch on streaming services. That is no longer an issue now, as the center speaker delivers clear audible voice sound that lets us hear the spoken dialogue during high audio effect scenes. The soundbar integrated perfectly with our Samsung 65" television, and after some initial setup, we were able to connect both devices to our Google Home Assistant. The remote took a few days to become accustomed to, similar to the same learning curve the first time that I had a smartphone with only a single button. I do wish that the remote was backlit though, as I have not yet committed some of the streaming service buttons to muscle memory yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Powerful “little” sound bar. There’s really nothing little about the sound this system delivers coupled with my 65” Samsung QN90D Neo QLED TV. Tidy footprint for my outdoor Sunroom entertainment set-up. The TV alone has a passable sound system, but I was listening for more punch, especially watching action UHD movies and sports. The big surprise for me is the directness and quality of dialog from the front channels, particularly when voices are competing with other channel sounds like cars, planes, etc. Don’t have to lean in anymore to hear what’s going on between actors. And the wireless woofer is a monster, a real bone-rattler! Crank it up in seconds from the QLED Settings menu whenever those action movies call for that extra KABOOM! Set up is a breeze with the QLED TIZEN program walking me through the entire process. Samsung has really upped their game with this recent version of TIZEN, but more about that in my QLED review. I might have opted for the 7.2.1 system, but owing to space constraints this “little” giant of a 5.2.1 sound bar delivers all the power and quality I need for my outdoor set-up.

I was able to unbox and setup within 10 minutes and it includes everything you need for various mounting forms etc. While I do not have much experience setting up speakers, Samsung has made it easy for me to plug in and connect to my television without the need for a professional. For the quality and sound of this sound bar you would expect to have some hard-wiring work done but this is not the case. I have it set up in the living room where I watch TV the most alongside family and friends. The surround sound is crisp, clean and immersive. The sound bar is sleek and provides a modern aesthetic. Did I mention you could connect to the sound bar wirelessly? You are able to connect to various smart devices like Amazon Alexa or Apple AirPlay with the smart integration system. Its powerful 5.1.2 Ch. True Dolby Atmos Sound makes my living room feel like a movie theater despite it being one system with a sound bar and subwoofer. Overall I'm highly impressed with the quality of this system and it's performance.
