How to find your Galaxy Buds series when they are lost

If your Galaxy Buds are lost, you can locate them using Samsung Find, SmartThings Find, Galaxy Wearable. The steps may vary depending on the connection status of the earbuds and which apps are supported on your phone.

How to find your Galaxy Buds (Samsung Find app)

You can use Samsung Find to locate your Galaxy Buds on a map. Follow the steps below to find your earbuds using the Samsung Find app.

The steps will be different depending whether your Galaxy Buds is in connected / disconnected state:

Step 1. Tap Samsung Find on your phone.

Step 2. Select Devices.

Step 3. Check your Galaxy Buds model name and tap Ring.

Step 4. In the Make earbuds beep pop-up, tap Start.

Step 5. Select Play sound to make the earbuds emit sound.

Step 6. Stop the alert once the earbuds are found.

Note: The Ring feature can be used only when the earbuds and the phone are connected via Bluetooth.

Step 1. Swipe down from the top right hand corner of your screen to open Quick Settings panel.

Step 2. Tap Bluetooth card to open Bluetooth connection panel.

Step 3. Make sure your Galaxy Buds is in disconnected state.

Step 4. Tap Samsung Find on your phone.

Step 5. Select Devices.

Step 6. Check your Galaxy Buds model name and tap Search nearby.

Step 7. Wait for device to search your earbuds.

Step 8. After successfully locating your earbuds, signal strength will appear with a dynamic indicator to help you find your earbuds.

How to find your Galaxy Buds (SmartThings app)

You can also use SmartThings Find to locate Galaxy Buds. Follow the steps below to find your earbuds using the SmartThings app.

The steps will be different depending whether your Galaxy Buds is in connected / disconnected state:

Step 1. Tap SmartThings on your phone.

Step 5. In the Ring pop-up, tap Start.

Step 7. Stop the alert once the earbuds are found.

Step 7. Tap Search nearby.

Step 9. After successfully locating your earbuds, signal strength will appear with a dynamic indicator to help you find your earbuds.

How to find your Galaxy Buds (Galaxy Wearable app)

You can use the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone to locate your Galaxy Buds. Follow the steps below to find your earbuds using the Galaxy Wearable app.

Note: When you start Find My Earbuds in the Galaxy Wearable app, the screen may automatically switch to SmartThings Find or the Samsung Find app if the connected phone supports those features. If both are supported, the Samsung Find app opens.

Note:

  • If the earbuds and the charging case batteries are both completely depleted, the earbuds cannot be located.
  • If only the charging case is lost, its location cannot be checked separately.
  • Some models (for example, Galaxy Buds FE, Galaxy Buds2, and earlier) do not support Nearby search when the earbuds are inside the charging case.
  • If the Galaxy Buds or earbuds are not nearby, the device cannot be detected during the search.
  • The Ring feature can be used only when the earbuds and the phone are connected via Bluetooth.
  • Availability of SmartThings Find and the Samsung Find app may vary depending on the software version of the connected phone.
  • The Galaxy Wearable app may appear as Wearable on One UI 6.1 or later. On earlier versions, it may appear as Galaxy Wearable.
  • Menu names, paths, and screen layouts may vary depending on your device model, software, or app version.
