How do I perform a factory reset on my Samsung Galaxy Note II?
This guide assumes you are able to use your device's operating system (i.e. that you are not locked out of your device and that your device is working in so far that you can access the settings). If you are unable to use your device at all please click here to find the location and contact details of your nearest Samsung service centre and arrange for your device to be serviced by a Samsung engineer.
Note: performing a factory reset will delete all your personal settings including any changes you have made to your profile or wallpaper. You may also lose any messages you have on the device, all contacts if these have not been backed up to the SIM card or your Google account (in the case of smartphones) and any apps that you have downloaded.
Please back up your data using Kies on your computer before performing a factory reset. App data is not backed up automatically.
1. From the Home screen touch Apps.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch the Accounts tab.
4. Touch Back up and reset.
5. Touch Factory data reset.
6. Touch Reset device.
7. Touch Erase everything.
