Your Samsung Account has multiple benefits: it enables you to keep Samsung apps synced across your Samsung devices, gives access to Samsung Pay, enables you to get news and discounts, and use the Find My Mobile service to keep track of your phone, amongst others.


Your Samsung account ID will normally be your email address. To reset your password or find your Samsung Account ID, visit the Samsung Account homepage.


First, make sure that your device is connected to a Wi-Fi or data network.

1 Go to settings then tap cloud and accounts or accounts and backup if you do not see this option go to step 2

5 Tap "Create Account" to create a new account, or "Sign in" to sign in to an existing account.

If you are setting up your account for the first time you will be prompted to read the Terms and Conditions. Tap "Agree" to continue.

Fill in your email address, choose a password, enter your first and last name and date of birth, then tap "Create account".

Verify your email address by clicking on the link sent to you via email.

6 Your Samsung Account is now set up on your mobile device.

Once you have set up your Samsung account on your phone, you will be automatically logged in on that device. You can also log into your Samsung account on your computer by following the instructions below.

2 Click “Sign in”.

To remove a Samsung Account from your device, you need to know the password. If you have forgotten the password, first reset the password online, then log in and remove account by following the instructions below.


If you can't access the email address linked to your Samsung Account, you will need to perform a factory reset using the buttons on your device.

1 Go to "Settings", then tap "Accounts and backup" or "Cloud and accounts". If you do not see this screen, go to Step 2.

3 Choose the account you would like to remove.

Please note: if the message "Processing failed" is displayed, make sure that your device is connected to the internet via a Wi-Fi or data network.

5 Tap the More options icon. Tap "Remove account", then tap "Remove".

6 Enter your Samsung Account password, then tap "Done" to remove the account from your device.
7 Your chosen account will now be removed.

2 Click on your account name.

If you want to change the email address associated with your Samsung account:

1 Go to "Settings", then tap "Accounts and backup" or "Cloud and accounts". If you do not see this screen, go to Step 2

If you are unable to log into your Samsung Account using two-step verification, follow the steps below to update your phone number:

9 Once you receive the code, click Verify

If you can’t log into your Samsung Account because you have a new phone number, please try the following:

1 Check to see if you have another Galaxy device on which you are already logged into your Samsung Account. If you do, select Verify with Galaxy device.
2 If you don’t have another device logged into a Samsung Account, you can authorise the login using the codes shared when you first set up your Samsung Account.
3 If the above options are unavailable, please contact Samsung Support for further support.
1 Go to "Settings", then tap "Accounts and backup".

4 Tap "Password and security".
5 Tap "Change password", then tap "Next".

Please note: changing your password will sign you out of your account on all your devices.

6 Enter your current password and your new password, then tap "Save".

Follow the steps below if you have forgotten your password or Samsung Account ID and you're locked out of your Samsung Account.

2 Click "Sign in".

3 Click "Find ID or Reset password?".

4 Select either "Find ID" or "Reset password", then enter the required information.

5 Check your email inbox, then click the link in the email you have received from Samsung Account.
6 Enter your new password and retype to confirm.

To manage which Samsung Account notifications you wish to see (or switch them off entirely):

1 Go to "Settings", then tap "Apps".

To remove a notification is currently displayed on your lock screen:

1 Tap and hold the notification.
2 Tap the switch to deactivate "Allow Notifications" or "Show Notifications".
