What is Telephoto mode and how do I use it?

PLEASE NOTE: that not all devices will have the features mentioned below.

 

The icons and screen may differ slightly from the illustrations below depending on your device, operating system and theme.

Telephoto mode allows you to zoom in (up to 2 times Optical zoom) on a scene or a single subject, meaning you can get close when you're taking a photo, without losing detail.

Using the Telephoto modeClick to Expand

To use Telephoto, you will need to:

1 From the home screen, choose Apps or swipe up to access your apps

3 Choose Photo

Depending on your device, choose Mode or swipe across the screen to select Auto or Photo.

4 Choose Telephoto, this will be displayed as a single leaf or tree

5 Choose the capture button to take your photo

Using the Wide angled modeClick to Expand

To use the Wide angle mode on your camera, you will need to:

1 From the home screen, choose Apps or swipe up to access your apps

3 Choose Photo

Depending on your device, choose Mode or swipe across the screen to select Auto or Photo.

4 Choose the Wide angle icon, this will show as two leaves or trees

Using the Ultra wide modeClick to Expand

The Ultra wide angled camera gives you up to 123-degree panoramic field of vision, meaning your phone can almost view and capture what you see. To use Ultra wide mode, you will need to:

1 From the home screen, choose Apps or swipe up to access your apps

3 Choose Photo

Depending on your device, choose Mode or swipe across the screen to select Auto or Photo.

4 Choose the Ultra wide icon, this will show as three leaves or trees
