Q. How do I clean and maintain the dryer filter?To clean and maintain the dryer filter, follow these steps:
- • Open the dryer door and pull the filter up to remove it.
- • Separate the internal and external filters.
- • Remove lint with a brush.
- • Rinse the filter if needed.
- • Let the filter dry completely before reinserting.

Q. How energy-efficient is the Samsung dryer?Samsung dryers are designed with energy-saving functions, such as AI Energy Mode. AI Energy mode in SmartThings Energy lets you easily check your daily, weekly and monthly power consumption. It also estimates your monthly electricity bill. When selected, it intelligently helps you reduce energy use.
Note: AI Energy Mode must be activated through the SmartThings app available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-FI connection and a Samsung account are required. -
Q. What is the Samsung dryer’s specific course for drying bedding?The Samsung dryer’s Bedding cycle detects blanket thickness (thin, normal, or thick) and moisture level, then adjusts the drying time to deliver quick, even drying.The Bedding drying cycle can dry up to 4 kg of dry comforters.

- • Condenser dryers: heat the air to dry clothes and collect moisture in a tank or drain it away.
- • Heat pump dryers: recycle warm air by using a heat pump, drying at lower temperatures.
Heat pump dryers generally uses less energy than condenser dryers. -
Q. How can I clean the dryer inside?Use the Self Clean feature to keep your Samsung dryer fresh. This high-temperature cycle removes any moisture left after drying, preventing odors and buildup. Select Self Clean from the dryer’s menu, and it will run automatically.

Q. How can I use Auto Open Door for the dryer?Auto Open Door opens the dryer door at the end of a cycle to release humid air, reduce odors, and prevent musty smells if laundry is left inside. Turn it on in Settings → Auto Open Door on the dryer or in the SmartThings app available on Android and iOS devices.
