Can I Connect My Camera To My PC Without The Battery Being Installed?

No, the battery needs to be plugged in the Samsung camera and camera should be in power on state.
It is necessary when attempting to connect the camera with any device, as the USB port from the PC or TV does not provide enough power for the camera to power up. Hence the battery needs to be charged and plugged in to be able to View, Transfer & Print files.
