Moisture prevention tips for Samsung Air Conditioners

Monsoon brings rain, thunder and dust along with high humidity which make the operating conditions for Air Conditioners challenging.

Follow these tips to optimise the AC’s performance during moisture/humidity.
1. Check doors & windows

Do not use Air conditioner when windows or doors are left open.
2. Swing mode

During monsoon, it is recommended to use AC in swing mode. Swing mode allows maximum air throw.
3. Temperature Setting

Set the air conditioner at ideal temperature of 24°C for optimum cooling.
4. Filter cleaning

5. Dry mode

- During rainy days the moisture level is very high, and this mode keeps the room temperature cool and dry.
- The air conditioner in dry mode acts as a dehumidifier by removing moisture from the indoor air.
- To maximize the dehumidification capacity during dry operation, the air conditioner can function at low or high temperature.
Set the Dry mode
- Press the Mode button.
- Each time you press the Mode button, the mode will change in the order of Auto, Cool, Dry, and Fan.
Note: - Run the dry mode for 3-4 hours, then switch to the Cool mode.
Difference between Cool and Dry mode
- In Cool mode, the temperature can be set between 16°C to 30°C. In Dry mode, the temperature can be set between 18°C to 30°C.
- Due to dehumidification, more water will flow out from the drain pipe.
