Last Update date : Sep 17. 2020

These quick and easy steps will allow you to connect your Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Watch Active in no time. Once the two have been successfully connected, you will be able to track your steps, send and receive texts messages, answers and end calls directly through the watch. The Galaxy Wearable app is compatible with phones that have Android OS 4.4 or later with at least 1.5 GB of RAM. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Watch app is compatible with the iPhones (iPhone5 or later) that have iOS 9 and above.

1 Ensure your Bluetooth is turned on the Galaxy S10. You can check this by either viewing your quick settings or by heading into your Settings tapping on Connections then turn toggle on to Bluetooth.
2

Head into your Galaxy Wearables app and select your Galaxy Watch Active.

If you do not have the Galaxy Wearables app downloaded on your Galaxy S10, you can download it directly from the Google PlayStore or the Galaxy Apps Store.
3 Once you have selected your nearby device a Passkey will appear on both the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Watch Active, ensure you have allowed the two to pair.
4 Once the pair has been completed and you have agreed to the prompts you will be directed to the Galaxy Wearables homepage where you can track the performance of the watch, customise the faces and adjust the settings accordingly.

When a Bluetooth connection is not available, you can remotely connect the Galaxy Watch Active to your Galaxy S10 by using your Samsung account via the Wi-Fi network. This allows you to continue receiving notifications from your mobile device. Please note, you are unable to receive or answer calls when you are connected through Remote Connection.

To enable Remote connection head into your Galaxy Wearables app, tap on Settings and select Watch Connections, you should then able to enable Remote Connections.
