How to use Direct voicemail feature in Galaxy devices

The Direct Voicemail feature allows callers to leave a voicemail message when you are unable to answer. With this feature, you can:

  • Send incoming calls directly to voicemail.
  • Automatically route calls to voicemail after they ring for a specified duration.
  • Answer a call even while the caller is recording their voicemail message.

Note:

  • Screens and Images are simulated.
  • The names, menu paths, and screen configurations of the described features or services may vary depending on the model, software version, and app version.
  • Actual UX/UI may differ from the example images shown.

A) Steps to enable Direct voicemail* feature

Open the Phone app Open the Phone app

1. Open the Phone app.

2. Tap on more options (⁞) icon.

3. Select Settings option.

Tap on Direct voicemail. Tap on Direct voicemail.

4. Tap on Direct voicemail.

5. Toggle the switch to turn it ON.

6. After enabling Direct Voicemail, tap Agree to accept the terms and conditions. The Direct voicemail enabled successfully.

8. Select the Direct voicemail option.

9. The voicemail greeting begins, allowing the caller to leave a message for you.

Note:

*Direct voicemail only works when your phone is on and connected to your mobile network. Normal call rates apply.

*Direct voicemail doesn’t work for video calls. Direct voicemail might not work if your phone’s internal storage is almost full.

B) Steps to enable 'Auto send to voicemail' & 'Transcript** assist' options

You can configure calls to automatically go to voicemail after a set ringing duration. The Transcript Assist option allows you to specify the time before sending incoming calls to voicemail.

Note:

**Voice transcription might not be accurate. The voice transcription will be visible on the screen even when your phone is locked.

10. After enabling the Direct voicemail, tap on Auto send to voicemail and turn it ON.

C) View what callers say while recording voicemail

You can view the voicemail messages left by callers during recording.

Tap on Voicemail message Tap on Voicemail message

14. Tap on Voicemail message.
