How to enable Safe mode on Samsung phones

What is Safe Mode?

Safe mode is a diagnostic tool available on Samsung phone or tablet that force the device to run on the basic operating system, and disable most 3rd party applications to solve issues related to battery life, connectivity and much more.

There are different ways to enter & exit from Safe Mode. Please follow below steps:

Note:

  • Available screens and settings may vary by software version and phone model.
  • If you are pressing Side key then make sure your side key settings are set to Power off menu (Settings > Advanced features > Side button > Long press > Power off menu)

1. Tap Power icon in quick panel. Alternatively, you can press Vol Down & Power key simultaneously.

2. Press & hold the
Power off.

3. Tap on Safe mode* .

4. Safe mode is enabled.

Method-2

1. Press the power key to
Power on the device.

2. Press and hold the
Volume down key.

3. Safe mode is enabled.

1. Tap on the Power icon.

2. Tap on Restart* icon.

3. Tap on Restart again to
restart your phone.

4. Safe mode has been disabled.

Method-2

1. Tap on Safe mode notification showing on notification bar.

2. Tap on Turn off* to disable Safe mode. Your device will be restart.

3. Safe mode has been disabled.

* Device will restart
