How to reset Samsung galaxy devices?

A factory reset, also known as a hard reset or master reset, is an effective, last resort method of troubleshooting for mobile phones. It will restore your phone to its original factory settings, erasing all your data in the process. Because of this, it’s important to back up information before you do a factory reset.

Reset all settings

This will reset all the settings on your phone except:

  • Security settings
  • Language settings
  • Accounts
  • Personal data
  • Settings for downloaded apps

1. Navigate to Settings
and tap on it.

2. Tap on General management .

3. Tap on Reset .

4. Tap on Reset all settings .

5. Tap on Reset settings .

6. Tap on Reset .

Reset network settings

This will reset all network settings, including those for:

  • Wi-Fi
  • Mobile data
  • Bluetooth

1. Navigate to Settings
and tap on it.

2. Tap on General management .

3. Tap on Reset .

4. Tap on Reset network settings .

5. Tap on Reset settings .

6. Tap on Reset .

Reset accessibility settings

Your accessibility settinngs will be reset to thier default settings.

Related settings such as keyboard and font size won't be reset. Accessibility settings in downloaded apps won't be changed. Your personal data won't be affected.

1. Navigate to Settings
and tap on it.

2. Tap on General management .

3. Tap on Reset .

4. Tap on Reset accessibility settings .

5. Tap on Reset settings .

6. Tap on Reset .

Factory data reset

Reset your phone to its factory default settings. This will erase all data, including files and downloaded apps.

Please note:
 
  • Kindly create data backup of your device via Smart Switch mobile application or Smart Switch pc suite.
  • Remember or remove the google password before resetting the device.

1. Navigate to Settings
and tap on it.

2. Tap on General management .

3. Tap on Reset .

4. Tap on Factory data reset .

5. Tap on Reset .

6. Tap on Delete all .
