How to use Google Photos on your 2026 Samsung Smart TV

Google Photos for Samsung TV makes it easy to relive and share your special memories on your TV screen from your phone. With seamless access to the photos and videos from your phone, you can enjoy meaningful moments—trips, people, and special occasions—right from your TV. You can even enable daily curated memories or set a favorite photo as your TV wallpaper to keep treasured moments in view.

Note: The availability of Google Photos for Samsung TVs may vary depending on the TV model and region. Supported models and rollout timing for products released in 2023, 2024, and 2025 may differ based on each device’s OS upgrade policy.

Supported models

Google Photos for Samsung TV is supported on U8000H or above TV models.

You can launch Google Photos for Samsung TV from  Apps, Daily+ or Now brief.

From Apps:

Step 1. Select Apps from the Home screen.

Step 2. Select Google Photos for Samsung TV.

From Now brief: 

Step 1. Activate Now brief 

Note: Now brief availability may vary depending on the TV model.

Step 2. Select Google Photos memories.

Sign in with your Google account to view curated memories of your photos and videos.

Step 1.
Launch Google Photos for Samsung TV and scan the QR code with your mobile device.

Step 2.
Login with your Google account and connect to Google Photos.

Step 3.
Select a memory.

Step 4.
Enjoy your memories.

You can also, 

  • Select Set as wallpaper to set the photo to your Now brief wallpaper. 

  • Select Hide memory to remove the memory from the TV app.

  • Press the right/left button on your remote control to move to the previous/next photo or video 

  • Press and hold the right/left button on your remote control to move to the previous/next memory

Note: Set as wallpaper is available only on models that support Now Brief.

Use Settings to manage memory preferences and privacy settings.

How to manage memories

Step 1.
Select Settings.

Step 2.
Select Manage memories.

Step 3.
Scan the QR code on your mobile device.

Step 4.
Choose which types of memories to show across your devices.

How to change privacy settings

Step 1.
Select Settings.

Step 2.
Select Privacy settings.

Step 3.
Choose mode between Standard Mode and Guest Mode.

You can disconnect Google Photos from your Samsung TV at any time.

Step 1.
Select Settings.

Step 2.
Select your account.

Step 3.
Select Disconnect.

Once you complete these steps, your Google Photos account will be safely disconnected from your Samsung TV.
