Amazing photographs as captured on the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+
Desserts (S9+): The Galaxy S9+'s camera generally takes good care of colours, making bright and vivid shades pop naturally. The focus is captured quite stunningly in this photo. The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus camera delivers good color in all shooting conditions.
Road trip portraits (S9): Taking photos while moving guarantees blurry results, unless the camera is set to a higher shutter speed. Both photos are shot at f/2.4 aperture mode. The first photo is lighter due to a higher light sensitivity at ISO 100 compared to the other photo at ISO 50. With Samsung's optical image stabilisation at play, photos remain decent and clear.
Winding road (S9+): This photo is shot at 1/1250 seconds, f/2.4 aperture and ISO 50.
Skater (S9+): Taken in broad daylight, this image appears to be very clear and crisp even when there is movement. This is due to the faster shutter speed at 1/1250 seconds, making this photo look very sharp. With Samsung's dual optical image stabilisation, the entire frame comes out to be a beautifully steady one.
Lights (S9+): The Galaxy S9+ deals fairly well with high-contrast scenes even in difficult lighting situations. This photo is shot at 1.125 seconds, f/2.4 aperture and ISO 80.
Twilight (S9+): Despite being shot at dusk, the woman and the other details on the foreground remain clear and on point. The combination of wider aperture (f/1.5) and slower shutter speed (1/50 seconds) maximises light capture. With light sensitivity set at ISO 50, the photo still comes out sharp even when there is not enough light.
Bridge (S9+): Shooting scenes deep in the night can be a real struggle, let alone using an ordinary smartphone with a fixed aperture. Using a wider aperture (f/1.5), very slow shutter speed (1/10 seconds) and low light sensitivity (ISO 50) in this photo leaves passing vehicles with only their lights in the background and simultaneously strikes an incredible balance between noise and details.
Bonfire (S9): Images taken in low lights tend to be grainy, most especially when the ISO is cranked up. With fire as the only source of light, this image taken in the dark emerges to be less grainy even at ISO 320. This is due to Samsung’s multi-frame noise reduction technology embedded in the image sensor which enhances pictures taken in super low light, combining 12 images into one photo to drastically reduce the amount of noise.
Fabric and canvas (S9+): The colours in well-lit portions of both photos remain intact and popping even if shot in an extremely fast shutter speed (1/1000 seconds) and low light sensitivity (ISO 50). Zooming in the photos will reveal how sharp the details are in the well-lit areas, making the texture of the fabric and the canvas evident to the bare eye.
Flower (S9+): The Galaxy S9+'s camera already has an autofocus that is fast, accurate and consistent. Even more admirable is the portrait mode. In its portrait or bokeh mode, the Galaxy S9+ is capable of capturing images that simulate the "DSLR-look".
Plains (S9+): The Galaxy S9+'s camera technology has a very good dynamic range as made evident in the skies where highlights are very high and yet a good amount of details are preserved.
Holding hands (S9+): Samsung has one of the most reliable camera focus systems in the industry. In this photo, the main camera pulls off a very decent balance between exposing the foreground well and maintaining a great amount of detail in the brighter background.
Condiments (S9): This image has an almost similar setting as the fabric and wallflower photos, only with a faster shutter speed at 1/3200 seconds. Thus, a similar outcome with all the sharp details while the bold and bright colours are exhibited naturally.
