[Gear VR] How do I charge it?

The Gear VR doesn’t require charging as it is powered by the mobile device’s battery.

 

However, you can connect the charger to the charger port on the Gear VR (as seen below).

 

Please use only Samsung-approved USB cables and wall chargers.

Note:


- The Gear VR will use the power from the charger and not your phone when it is on charge. However, some high powered operations, such as certain apps may require the Gear VR to use power from both the charger and your phone.

 

- Immediately after disconnecting the charger, the screen may be unresponsive and not recognise head movements. This is normal, as the Gear VR will be recalibrating. Remove the Gear VR and place it on a flat surface with the adjustment wheel facing up for a few minutes.

 

- If the Gear VR is not being used while the charger is connected, it will charge your phone. However the charge may not be as fast as it is when the charger is directly connected to your phone.
