Our 16year old rangehood died and replacement motor was cost of new unit. So, searched around for replacement and found Samsung, which I didn't know sold rangehoods. Many other new brands were available but never heard of them before, so after checking product reviews, I went with the Samsung. It arrived in 3 days and the instructions and template made for a quick and easy install. Used it a few times now and it is better than my old Italian rangehood in every way. So far, happy with my purchase.

Just finishing a remodel and chose this range hood that was recommenced by the subcontractor.Haven't had the opportunity to use it much at this point, but it is quite when turned on. It looks nice, except I was expecting the steel covering not to be as flimsy. You have to handle it very carefully because it is razor sharp and will cut you easily. Also thought the covering was one piece, which would have given it a smoother look. Hopefully the features and performance will offset that.

Do not buy this. I bought it as i thought it would work well with the cooktop and oven. It is a complete disappointment. The extraction is so low you need to open windows. The steam freely bypasses the extraction zone. You do not dare have four boiling pots on the cooktop as this will not pull out the steam ta generates. and wow its loud! I have to save up and get something that works.

Love the hood! I HATE the sound of fans, and this one is quiet, and more importantly, effective. Smart mode ensures that it only runs as high as is necessary. We have sensitive smoke detectors, and haven't had a single false alarm since installing. I also love the low profile of the fan, and the lighting is nice and bright.

The ventilation is powerful and very quiet, and it does a great job removing cooking smells. Overall performance is excellent and I’m very happy with it. The only downside is that the recirculation kit wasn’t available locally, so I had to order it from the US and pay expensive overseas shipping, which was quite disappointing.
