Best SSDs ever! I currently have 3 SATA 4tb 870 EVOs, 2 4tb 990 Pro M.2s, and 1 2tb 990 Pro M.2 installed in my pc... I've never had a faster, more responsive system in my life and it was worth every penny. Speaking of pennies, the largest NAND chip manufacturers are throttling their output by half at this very moment, so if you've been looking to upgrade your PC's memory, I would do so ASAP ! Upgraded to this 4TB model for video editing and the difference is night and day. Its M.2 2280 form factor offers perfect compatibility with my motherboard setup. The 2,400 TBW endurance rating gives me great peace of mind for heavy workloads. It handles large file transfers and 4K scrubbing with ultra-low latency. The integrated heatsink provides excellent thermals, keeping temperatures low during intense rendering. The massive throughput speeds mean I get maximum PCle 4.0 performance. Plus, the Samsung Magician software makes it easy to monitor drive health and keep the firmware updated. It's a premium investment, but worth every penny for the reliability.

If I didn't have a 980 as well to compare frequently, this would likely be 5 stars. But I feel that the heatsink is sort if a waste and really doesn't do much. The computer is a bit older and has more firepower in it's hardware because it is for 3d design, so maybe it isn't the heatsink as much as more powerful hardware in a slightly older computer, but on the other side of the coin I definitely feel like it's a once you need heatsink, you need a newer cpu or other hardware or a new computer, and heatsink isnt going to fix that sort of relationship. I still feel that the 980 is top on the market while the 990 is a close second. But if I get another one I don't see a reason for heatsink tbh.

I changed my previous SSD to the Samsung 990 PRO w/ Heatsink PCIe ® 4.0 NVMe™ SSD 1TB for a month now and I am loving the experience. Windows is loading up so quickly and the games and programs I am running are loading up so quickly and smoothly. Saving and editing big 4k video files stored on it is also so smooth and quick than on my previous Lexar SSD drive I was using which was making my work consume so much time and causing me to become frustrated with it while working. Now I feel like I'm working on quantum speeds thanks to the Samsung 990 PRO w/ Heatsink PCIe ® 4.0 NVMe™ SSD 1TB

I purchased a 2Tb 980 Pro Ssd when I purchased my laptop. I decided I needed more space when I noticed how much space my Audii Books were taking, so I shopped around and picked up the 4tb 990 Pro w/heatsink while it was on sale. I'm already upset I didn't but at least 1 more, as the amount of data we create only gets larger each year. I did have to remove the heatsink to fit the drive in my Samsung laptop, but I just put the older 980 Pro inside it. Makes for a safer portable backup that way. The 980 Pro was fast. This 990 Pro is visibly faster when copying files. I'd recommend it to anyone in need of saving their data and doing it quickly. If submit a photo, but who wants to see a pocus of a laptop? Lol!

Bought this for my PS5 Pro and it works beautifully. Installation is as easy as easy gets. Took maybe 30 seconds. Once installed, you turn the PS5 on and it walks you through the rest automatically. Games run lightning fast, as fast if not faster than the stock SDD the PS5 comes with. I've played extensively for the last few months and have had no issues whatsoever. PS5 doesn't get any hotter than it did before the extra drive was installed, which never got hot to begin with. Very happy customer here. If you're looking to upgrade your PS5 hard drive, this is as good as it gets.

I purchased a 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe with Heatsink for my PS5 and it has been excellent! I got it back in December 2024 and it hasn't given me a single issue. I got it with the Heatsink because I already knew it was going to see a lot of use, I play frequently and have a lot of games. Currently sitting at over 80% capacity used and it still performs efficiently. It doesn't throttle or slow down performance, even on long play sessions. Speed and performance have been consistently excellent. On initial setup, the speed test showed just under 6,600MB/s speeds for my PS5. I've been playing games as demanding as cyberpunk or elden ring and they all play as if they were installed internally, no issues whatsoever.

I really enjoyed boost in speed was definitely obvious. Especially once I got the PlayStation 5 pro and put it in that system, it really helped the game and the frame rate. Everything everything was moving so much smoother, so much faster. And so that's why I am interested in getting a new one. And I highly suggest that u choose the Samsung sSD with heat sync, gotta have the heat sink this time. I warm and go with the newest and I don't know if they can go above 2 gigs or 4, but I hope I could have a 4 gig 1 installed. That would be really nice, but 2 would be fine.

Super fast ssd to extend my storage capabilities in my M4 Mac Mini. Currently i have it installed in a M4 Mac Mini dock going across a 10gbs usb-c and it is fully saturating that connection. I am looking at getting a separate thunderbolt 4 SSD enclosure so i can take advantage of the full speed this drive can produce. The drive was easy to format, has managed heat well, and has been rock solid in regards to usage and stability. Huge fan of the Samsung line of SSD's and this one is currently sitting at the top of all of them that i have used and tried.

I have used the Samsung Evo 990 Pro 4TB SSD and I have to say this is, if not the best ssd for gaming and it is super speedy. This beast can last you years of daily use before wearing down and the transfer speeds are really fast rather than normal ssds (I always get an average of 5GBps lowest speeds on heavy transfers and 7GBps for basic stuff) and those that are made for gaming and file transfer, with this SSD Samsung has absolutely won out every other SSD you can get for this price range. I would recommend anyone this SSD for gaming and it basic uses.

Upgrading from an old 2.5 SATA Samsung drive to the Samsung 990 PRO with a heatsink has been a huge improvement. The difference in speed is night and day boot times, app launches, and file transfers are all way faster now. Honestly, it's a samsung SSD. Yes you pay a hefty price, but along with that price, you get a lot of great things. Top notch performance you'd expect from a high end storage device. Able to store a lot of games (not all, but quite a few) and load them at speeds faster than anything else out there. Haven't had issues with it. Just make sure you download and run the magician software to update the firmware at least once and you're good to go.

Upgraded from the 980 2TB back in Jul 2024 and I haven’t looked back! The 4tb minimum is the way to go no degrade no lag just pure top tier performance you expect from a Samsung product. BF6, RE4, COD, AC all cruise without so much as a hiccup for hours on end. No overheat, no wear heatsink keeps the drive cool. The read wrote is blazing fast and loading screens? Gone I’ll never move to another product line most reliable SSD in the game.

Best bang for a buck if you think 9100 is too expensive or not compatible with your system. This ssd has great speed and works flawlessly for heavy programs and games. And with 4tb storage, you can save all of the games that you'll probably only play once or even forget you have on your conputer. I have 2 of this 4tb and one of 980 pro and my PC is running smoothly and the ssd stays cool with all programs and games. Highly recommended.

Bought this as an add-on drive for my gaming PC. The 4 Tb size will ensure I have plenty of room for all my games and Adobe stuff. The drive performs very well. The RGB can be customized which is nice little touch. Note that if you have RAID turned on some features may not work properly since that mode is technically not supported. I would use the Magician app to keep the drive updated. Overall very happy with purchase.

My games load quickly, and the installation and setup processes are efficient. I have not observed any issues with drive overheating, as temperatures consistently remain around 40 degrees Celsius. While 4 terabytes is a substantial capacity, the increasing size of modern games suggests that this may become a limiting factor in the future. I have one in my Asus ROG without the heatsink and one with the heatsink in my PS5. They're read and write times are extremely fast, my ROG came with a very capable SSD but the 990 pro blows it out of the water with no other SSD coming close to its capabilities. The one in my PS5 is unmatched when it comes in gameplay, storage, and how fast data writes to it. Easily the best SSD on the market right now

Picked this up several months ago now. Running it as my boot drive along side another EVO 980 2TB(my previous boot drive) I've built a few pcs in the past few years and have always gone with Samsung for ssd drives. With this 990 my boot up is like 5-7 seconds. Playing games my load times are almost non existent. Looking forward to the next step in the EVOs evolution as well for future builds.

Bought it when I updated to Windows 11. 4 TB was probably excessive but wanted to have the largest capacity possible. Gen 4 is pretty snappy and works well with Samsung Magician. Issues regarding SSD health seems to be resolved since the last firmware update. Was worried about temps so got the heatsink version and glad I did cause temps have ranged from 25 to highest around high 40s low 50s.

This device does exactly as it states in its description, just put the 4tb heatsink in my playstation 5 and it boots up and loads my games even faster than the original ssd does.slotting it in is extremely easy as its a nvme so a simple screw and you're done. The heatsink is perfect size as it does not interfere with putting the cover back on. All and all definitely worth its money!

I updated my HDD that was in my HP Desktop from 2017, and let me tell you the difference was night and day in terms of speed and performance. I love the performance and speed of this drive. I replace the HDD drive in 2017 HP Pavilion Desktop and this drive made it way faster. The 1TB capacity was plenty for me because I use my desktop for school work and light gaming. The heatsink has been excellent at keeping my unit cool and efficient.

Bought 990 PRO 4tb w/ Heatsink in June 2024 and have been using it for over a month in Dell Alienware R16 running Win 11 (replacing / upgrading the 1tb stock drive). Learned about 3 significant issues online related to this drive: bad firmware, drive disappearing from Windows and Bios, and drive degradation issues - so first thing was to download the Magician software to update firmware and drivers. Despite that, I kept experiencing drive disappearance issues randomly but frequently during first few weeks. Recently changed setting to "Full Performance Mode" at all times to see if the disappearance issues would stop. This has been a disappointment. In addition, ran multiple Performance Benchmarks in Magician and never gotten close to the advertised read and write speeds up to 7450/6900 MB/s. Only getting about 6700/5700 MB/s in "Full Performance Mode" (a little higher using CrystalDiskMark but still falling short of the advertised speeds). So performance is yet another disappointment.

Using this for my PS5, and it is a gamechanger. I have so many games and knowing I have this to back me up is *chefs kiss". I haven't had issues, but I do try to have my PS5 placed in such a way so it doesn't over heat. I have not noticed any drops on speed using the SSD vs the PS5 storage.

Worked wonderfully in my PS5...for 3 months. Was playing fine and then put the system. Went to start the PS5 two days later and it told me there was a system software crash and the drive wasn't detected. Replaced it with an older smaller drive and tested in my PC. Drive is dead.

Beautiful, fast and reliable. I have several m.2's all samsung. I jist purchased 2 990 PRO w/ Heatsink PCIe® 4.0 NVMe™ SSD 2TB for my gf and my ps5's. My computer has an 870 and 980. They still work fantastic and confident that the ones in our ps5's will run for a long time.

I recently installed the Samsung 990 Pro 4TB with Heatsink in my Lenovo Legion, and the difference is night and day! The installation was seamless, and the drive fit perfectly. This SSD is incredibly fast. Boot times have significantly decreased, and games load almost instantly. I’m seeing read/write speeds close to the advertised 7,450/6,900 MB/s which can be seen in the benchmark screenshot. The built-in heatsink does a great job of keeping temperatures under control, even under heavy workloads. No throttling or overheating issues so far, even during extended gaming sessions. Coming to the capacity, at 4TB, I no longer have to worry about storage space. I can keep all my games, and media in one place without juggling external drives. I used Samsung Magician to clone my old drive onto a new Samsung 990 Pro SSD, and the process was incredibly smooth. The software’s cloning tool made it simple to create a bootable copy without any hassle. The interface is user-friendly, with clear instructions that even beginners can follow.

Fast. Reliable. Best prosumer grade from a name brand at a competitive price. Only con is that most higher end motherboards tend to have a built in heatsink that requires you to remove Samsung provided heatsink or the motherboard provided heatsink.

The best parts of this product are the good memory and the heatsink. Don't have to worry about overheating or having the The hassle of getting a heatsink for it., and depending on what you use in the memory, it will last for quite a while.
