When you go for a swim, make sure you turn on Water lock mode to prevent accidental touching on your screen. This will also prevent you from accidentally activating your watch with a wake-up gesture while you're working on that freestyle stroke.

Water Lock Mode

Galaxy Watch

Swim-proof and ready for water activity! Your watch works in the pool, the rain, and even in the shower. To prevent any accidental touches while you're taking a dip, you need to activate Water lock mode.

Gear Sport

On Gear Sport, swipe down the Status panel, tap Water lock mode followed by Done.

To turn off Water lock mode, press and hold the Home button.

Galaxy Watch

From your Watch's Home screen, go to Settings. Then, swipe to and tap Advanced. Next, tap Water lock mode, and then tap the slider to turn it on.

If this is the first time you are using Water lock mode, read the information and then tap the check sign. Water lock mode will then be activated.

To turn off Water lock mode, press and hold the Home button.

Note: When Water lock mode is turned off, your Galaxy Watch will automatically begin the Eject water function. This feature creates vibrations and sound waves which removes any water in the speakers.
