Unlocking Screen with Talk Back enabled

TalkBack is an Accessibility Service in Samsung Smartphones that helps blind and vision-impaired users interact with their devices more easily. This is done by adding spoken, audible, and vibration feedback to the device. 

 

With TalkBack service enabled, you need to swipe using two fingers to unlock the screen instead of one finger.

Note: Should you wish to use the normal settings of your phone, you can simply de-activate this service.

 

To activate this service, follow the steps below:

 

Step 1: Go to the device's Settings, then tap Accessibility.

Step 2: Tap Vision, then tap TalkBack.

 

. 

 

Step 3: Swipe the slider going to the right to activate TalkBack.

 

. 

 

Step 4: A pop-up message will appear which provides the usage bulletin of the service. Tap Ok if you agree and wish to continue.

 

. 

 

Step 5: Another popup message will appear notifying you of the features and/or functions which may not be used while TalkBack is enabled, tap Ok if you agree.

 

. 

 

Step 6: Talkback will start. Each and everytime you tap on a setting or option, an assistive voice prompt will be heard advising you about the option selected.

Note: To select any of the option while TalkBack is activated, double tap the option.

 

Step 7: To deactivate TalkBack, go to the same path mentioned above (this time, double tapping to choose each selection). Double tap the slider to de-activate the service. A prompt will appear confirming de-activation of service, tap Ok.
