I have received 3 of these now & each one has had the same faults without fail; the screens been sunken in on one side, the back panel has been hanging off & it constantly flickers on & off, of "hdmi plus". On top of all this, I have had to spend a week or more of my literal time, on the phone, in a chat box or replying to emails; only to be ignored & snubbed in my replies, over the course of 6 months. I suffer from multiple neurological issues & due to this nightmare, have had to rearrange my room 6 or so times, remove a 55" tv from it's mounting to be returned 4 or so times & remount said replacements just as many times; only to see the same issues again & again; all whilst barely being able to lift myself out of bed, a lot of the time. As someone who has reccomended & marketed, approximately £30000 worth of your products & personally bought over £10000 worth of your products; I feel somewhat disgusted with myself for putting up with this. The knock on effect of all of this on my time, health & life has been utterly disastrous & the packaging I've had to hold on to, has taken up the little space I have to exercise, caused awful arguments with my family & for the 1st time in 3 years, I'm feeling suicidal & I cant pretend It'd be that way, if not for this awful purchase & even worse service.

I have just bought this TV , and to my surprise , I found a barcode sticker pasted on the middle of the screen. It is strongly glued and I don't know how to take this out. I can't use any chemical or water to remove it. It looks like old stock repackaged and marketed with great promises. The first impression of Samsung is faded away. I am not even interested in exploring different features of the TV. I am thinking to return it back. Samsung seems to be selling expensive TV's on the basis of marketing and advertising but customers are having extremely bad experiences. My 5 years old Sony TV has been exchanged and I would like to know if I will be able to get it back if I return this TV.

Been using as my main TV for 5 months. Have read the negative reports and was worried buying. But it was the right price and spec for me so took the plunge. Have no regrets whatsoever. I haven't seen any of the reported issues. It has operated flawlessly. Gaming on an xbox series x at 120hz is next level. As is the software compared to the android Sony TV it replaced. I'm perhaps not a purist but I can't fault the features and the display at 4k and 8k content on YouTube is incredible. I'm sorry for people who have had a bad experience or glitches. I've got zero buyers remorse and look forward to several years of enjoyment from this display.

We bought this last April 2022 and we regret doing it. It makes and "teo metals clanging" sound everytime a video makes an errie or suspensful or whatever sound that is. They have already changed the speakers and motherboard but still the issue persist, one of the techinician also told us that its not a hardware fault but a frequency or whatever of the video, so its the video's fault if you can feel the speakers vibrate badly? Then there's another, it happened twice already, suddenly the picture gets broken and it makes a really creepy loud sound. We really should have gone for a different brand.. we noticed the defects after the 1 month echange period.

PLEASE pay no attention to negative reviews, especially due to their mounting incompetence. Those that claim that the TV is hard to mount are wrong! In fact one chap has posted a picture showing a mounted TV with several black cables heading to the unit from the supplied "One Connect Box" which almost appears to a be a sabotage review because, in reality, there's literally only one fine, near transparent fiber-optical-style cable that simultaneously channels power & data from the "One Connect Box" to the TV. The mounting capability of the "QN700B" is arguably one the best solutions available as the "One Connect Box" can be mounted to or away from the TV. Full disclosure; I am a professional editor, photographer & camera operator. I'm also an absolute tech junkie, especially PC and audio-visual technologies. I've owned the 55" QN700B for 2 months. If you're a film fan, content creator and/or a gamer you must continue to read! Samsungs produced their 2022 8K TV's as flagships. As with cameras, there's more to TV's than pixel count. Model number & year of manufacture are a significant factor when choosing a TV & the hardware is only as good as the software, & visa-versa. The same resolution & a similar model number isn't something one should entirely count on. For instance; the 43" iteration of last years Samsungs "QN90A" isn't 120hz like the rest of the QN90A range. Moreover, the 43" uses an entirely different panel to the rest - effectively it's a "QN90A" by name only - the 43" "QN90A" uses an IPS (in-plane switch) 60hz panel with a maximum peak brightness of 1,500nits whereas "QN90A" models that are 50" & above use 120hz VA (vertical alignment) panels with a peak brightness of 2,000nits (barring the 50" which is a 120hz VA panel but has a peak brightness of 1,500nits). However, this year's 43" "QN90B" is a 120hz VA panel. FYI, the difference between "IPS" & "VA" panels is contrast & off-angle viewing. IPS has a better off-angle viewing experience whereas VA is much better as displaying deep blacks and amazing contrast which is why Samsung use VA technology for their most expensive models. I purchased this awesome TV to edit the finishing touches of an 8K feature (a professional 8k mastering monitor is tens of thousands of pounds so I cut a colossal financial corner and grabbed the brilliant "QN700B"). I already own TV's & monitors by Samsung, including; a 65" QLED "Q7FN", a 50" "QN90A, "Odyssey G7 32" & "Odyssey G9" so I wasn't too worried in buying the "QN700B" without seeing it 'in the metal' - my previous experience & the specifications alone were enough to sell me. The QN700B is a true 55" 8k; a 16:9 aspect ratio 7,680x4,320 which is approximately 33 million pixels. Or, to put it another way, its literally 4x the resolution of a 4K Ultra HD TV. At one point when I was using it as a monitor I made a very effective virtual 4x 27" 4k 3840x2160 fluid & bezelless desktops from one panel. If you're a content creator, streamer and/or gamer you'll love this ability. An 8k 55" inch panel is a sweet-spot for PC usage. The use of 10bit, 4:4:4 & 8k at 55" allows text to be as clear as it is on a high-end smartphone with an OLED screen, like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, only the screen is a lot bigger. "Neo QLED" is another name for Mini Quantum Light Emitting Diode. The technology was developed to help combat blooming whilst aiding contrast. Mini QLED's are dramatically smaller than normal QLED's. Neo QLEDs are so small they can be almost as small as a single pixel. Traditional QLEDs are significantly larger than one pixel. The end result is a VA panel with near OLED-like contrast, without the risk of image retention (burn-in). Other than no risk of burn-in, the "Neo QLED" panel is extremely bright. In short, this panel is rated for a peak brightness of 2,000nits. For comparison, the LG C2 55" (whichI also own) has a peak brightness of approximately 700nits. If you have a well-lit room or a room with lots of windows - a bright room - then you'll require a bright panel. Being rated as HDR2000 this TV produces stunning high dynamic range (HDR). The QN700B is equipped with VRR (variable refresh rate) & is also Freesync Pro certified & compatible with G-sync for butter-smooth game play. This technology allows the panel to display the exact amount of frames being output by a compatible console or PC, making sure there's no stutter or frame tear. Once you try VRR for gaming you'll not want to go back to a traditional panel. The "One Connect Box": this is a great feature if you're thinking of wall mounting or simply don't want to get behind the TV every time you want to connect a new device. Place the One Connect Box wherever you like and use one of the two fibre optic-style wires included to connect the box to the TV. That's it! No more faff. I'm someone who needs to swap cables often and can't stand clutter. Samsungs One Connect Box is arguably one the best solutions available and, if for some reason a capacitor dies in the PSU (power supply unit) then you no longer have to worry about taking your panel off the wall and transporting it to a dealer/repair shop. The One Connect Box is all that will need fixing in such an unlikely scenario. 4x full bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports @ 48Gbps, each port allows for 8k @60hz, 4k @120hz & 1080p @120hz. Samsung have included amazing software in which you simply download their linked app to you smartphone, place your phone in front of the TV & run the app. Bingo! The TV is calibrated to within a margin of error. Gone are the days of paying for a professional TV calibrator. Samsung Dex: wirelessly turn your TV into a PC/desktop experience using your Samsung smartphone or tablet. There's 6 large speaker cones at the rear that, combined with the built-in Dolby Atmos, produces stunning sound. The uniformity (dirty screen effect) on the panel is second to none. It's absolutely perfect. I definitely won the panel lottery - as with CPU's & alike, not all panels are born equally due to production tolerances. I've never seen anything like it, not even with the LG G2. I'd say my "QN700B" is on par with the LG Z1. The TV is compatible with all the latest apps. You don't need an Xbox or PC to play titles available on Xbox Gamepass. Basically, Samsung have collaborated with Microsoft so the TV comes with the necessary hardware & software to stream your games to the TV in real-time. Just connect your controller or keyboard & mouse via Bluetooth or the One Connect Box, select Gamepass and you're gaming! Gaming is a blast. I've been spoilt. I've played oldies in 8K like HL2, Wolfenstein Old Blood, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, C&C Red Alert & late titles like Cyberpunk 2077. Visually, the best & most fluid of the more recent was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) campaign in 8k HDR with Ray Tracing enabled - Wow! Pixel-peepers rejoice! You're probably aware that Samsung make some of the best PC gaming monitors available, including their latest, the "Odyssey Ark". The Samsung Odyssey Ark has the capability to split 1 display into 3x monitors, too. However, the Arks panel is only 4K (divide 3840x2160 into 3), making the pixel density far less impressive when split three ways. From the looks of things the Ark is a curved QN90A or QN90B (both great panels). Samsung rightly curves their gaming centric panels due to how close the user tends to sit at a display and the inherent nature of VA's off-angle contrast limitations - head-on the contrast is beautiful - off angle, it's not quite as impressive. A curved panel keeps the angle to the user eye largely the same for the viewer for the entirety of the display making sure the contrast is even. The curve also helps keep your eye the same distance from the corners as it does with the centre, especially on larger monitors - this also aids immersion - the Samsung Odyssey G9 (which I also own) is so immersive that you feel you're wearing a ski mask or VR HDM on occasion. That said, I'd still rather the QN700B over the Odyssey Ark & G9 because the pixel count is so much higher that when working in Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere etc & even when playing game titles in 4k the images is so much clearer - there's far less need for AA (anti-aliasing), if at all, on such a large panel. A 55" 4k panel will show aliasing (jaggies/pixel stepping) everywhere when sitting as you would a normal desktop screen - it's the equivalent of looking at the pixel density of 4x 1080p 27" monitors, whereas a 55" 8k is the equivalent of looking at the pixel density of 4x 4k 27" monitors. Also, Samsung has managed to perform miracles with their micro VA panels & relevant software this year. Sitting close and off-angle looks good. BTW, with games like "Hell Let Loose", you'll be king as the player benefits greatly with little to no jaggies & great viewing distances that are magnified, which a 55" 8K manages extremely well at 4k, better than any monitor I've tried, including the LG C2 42" - in-game, even scaled down to 4K the 55" QN700B looks so much better than a 42" 4k - we can thank the 8k Mini QLED panel for removing/smoothing-out the jaggies. BTW playing old & new titles that support 8k is nothing short of, wow! If Samsung made their latest 'PC monitor', the "Oddysey Ark" using the panel from the QN700B it would be God-like and absolutely worth having, for reasons I've explained. I'm fairly sure Samsung will do this in the near future when high-end raw GPU horsepower is a little more affordable and widespread, especially if the "Ark" is a success. I'm sure there's a lot I'm missing but I think I've covered the bulk. Don't hesitate. If you're on the fence about 8k, the QN700B is the TV you're looking for!

Last but not least, the speakers can't go unheralded, as no home-cinema experience is complete without orchestral levels of sound, and the built-in Dolby Atmos ensures you are placed in the centre of an entire dimension of sound, and the Object Tracking Sound means the action is followed across the screen as it happens. From constant self-rebooting issues, fragile build quality, and poor performance on both the picture and sound fronts, this Samsung TV is a real letdown. I'm experiencing problems ranging from screens turning off after a short period of use to sound problems. it makes it impossible to watch anything. It's safe to say that this TV doesn't live up to the expectations,I'm utterly disappointed and swearing off Samsung for good. And of course, the TV is no longer under warranty. After delving into numerous reviews, it's abundantly clear that this TV falls short in every aspect imaginable. I want my money back.

AVOID this model at all costs. The same has happened to ours just like everyone else’s after 18 months! Dirty line in the middle of the screen, then the on off occurs. Now won’t turn on at all! The fact they know there is a problem you would think they would have some kind of compensation scene, or repair scene going. No not Samsung, just got offered 15% discount off a new TV! No doubt an auto generated reply to this review as well.

Tv is less than 7 months old, first fault is the distorting speakers issue that appears common. This has been since day one. Engineer attended and said the speakers had not been adhered inside the cabinet from manufacture! Now the tv is failing to reboot, constantly in a reboot loop, also a common issue. The set constantly ‘creaks’ when on as if it is expanding under heat, on quiet programmes this is extremely off putting. Poor off axis colours. Any positives? The solar powered remote control is ok I suppose. I cannot recommend this to anyone. Unreliable & poorly built. Until samsung can attain the levels of quality their competitors provide, this will be the last samsung product I purchase. Very disappointed.

I bought this tv to replace a Panasonic 4K OLED TV which gave indifferent picture quality. This TV is far and away a much better product with great picture and sound especially when viewing in 4K or 8K

This is my second review as I feel the need to tell as many people as possible "DO NOT BUY THIS TV". It is a total mess. My last review consisted of slow UI, bad gaming glitches and having to change the 4K transfer rate from the PS5 to play without lines appearing and the screen jumping. More time has passed and I'm even more unhappy with it. More glitches occur anywhere from 1-3 times a week. Pink screen, sound buzzing, the TV failing to recognise the PS5, constant switching of signals to the point where the TV just gives up. I am horrified to see that after 1.5 years there has not been one single software update. In my opinion, Samsung have abandoned this TV knowing it's failures and still continue to sell it.

Initially bought the 55" and after 6 months it decided to stop working - randomly rebooting itself then eventually stopped working altogether. Samsung replaced that TV with the 65" but literally got it out of the box and the thing won't turn on. Took a video, sent it to Samsung, put the TV back in the box and now I wait for another resolution from Samsung. Fingers crossed they don't send me another faulty TV to replace the current faulty TV which was meant to be a replacement for a previously faulty TV!! If anyone wants a 65" paper weight, give me a shout.

I bought this TV 2 weeks ago. After a use of few hours the picture disappeared while I could still still hear the sound. I turned the tv off and the switched on and it did the same. I checked I was running the updated firmware. After keeping the tv off for about 24 hours the screen turned on but after few minutes of use the picture disappeared while the sound remained and then the tv switched on. Now every time I switch ok the tv the screen goes off in a matter of minute. I was expecting so much from the newer models but have been utterly disappointed.

Haven't yet fully explored all the features of this amazing TV but what I have used so far, I love it! The TV came in great packaging that if you reassemble, you can use to support it standing up while you attach the stand etc. Couldn't help but be super nervous as the stand just doesn't look like it can support a TV so big, but it does the job. Surprisingly light also for its size. Just upgraded from the Samsung 65" curved LED TV and that took 3 people to lift and secure on its stand. This TV, can attach the stand solo by utilising the packaging and takes just 2 to lift it in place. The central AV control box is perfect for my requirements also. Has more HDMIs (4 in total) than my older Samsung model, as well as all the other connections needed to run a new smart TV. As I turned on my various items for the first time, it immediately recognised them and set them up accordingly. Sky box, games console etc. Love the Smart Things app also that lets you control everything from your phone. Picture quality is simply unreal IMHO. If watching older TV shows, it does show up the picture quality defects however. But if watching a modern show, whether streaming, through TV channel or DVD/Blu-ray/4K, the picture is stunning. The 1 billion colours really do show and everything seems so bright yet appropriate in contrast. Blackest black is excellent and if switching to games console, the picture auto adjusts to a digital setting. My photo I uploaded is the first thing I tried, a Doctor Who Blu-ray that looked simply divine on a screen this size! All in all, I think this is my best TV purchase ever!

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Das Bild ist beeindruckend. Tolle Farben. Tolle Dynamik. Schwarzwerte sind bei meinem 4 Jahre alten LG deutlich besser. Der Bildschirm ist ultraflach...allerdings ist das Netzteil seperat und ein Riesentrümmer. Da ich eine flache Vogels Halterung dazu bestellt habe, musste ich improvisieren. Kurzerhand wurde der Bildschirm noch mal abgenommen und ein Loch mit einem 68 mm Bohrer durch die Wand ins Nachbarzimmer gebohrt. Nun ist die zusätzliche Hardware im Büro in einem Schrank untergebracht.

Bought this as 40th b day present, with Samsung soundbar...soundbar packed up within 1 month with a replacement sent now 11 months later the TV turns itself off and on rebooting, spoken on phone on Saturday and given case number and on live chat 2 days later for update and had to go through it all again even though i have a case number from saturday...and just told to wait 24/48 hours for an email...provided video proof of what tv is doing...by looking at other reviews this is not anything new that Samsung arnt aware of

Similar to other people - the TV started glitching out and rebooting after about half a year. It has been taken away by a repair service to be sorted out under warranty, but seeing the other people having the same problem - I am now sceptical about overall longevity of a product. Even if repair is carried out to a good standard, there is no guarantee that the TV does not start glitching out again after a few months of use. It is certainly disappointing for someone who wanted to get more into Samsung Ecosystem.

Had a Samsung 46" HD TV since 2012 and decided it was time to upgrade, I was going for a 4k but ended up buying this 55" 8k, bought online with next day delivery. Delivery service was excellent, on time, quick and easy as I only wanted delivery, I set it all up myself. Turned it on, carried out the initial set up by syncing through my mobile, really easy. Once connected I was initially disappointed with the picture quality for 8K it appeared poorer than my 10 year old HD one (now on the bedroom wall). I then found Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings and turned off Adaptive Picture, then set up the picture to the way I want it and its brilliant, perfect picture quality, the 8K upscaling in my opinion really is exceptional and much clearer than my old Samsung TV.

Please avoid buying any of the Samsung QLED tv's. I purchased the QN700A in February last year, within 6 months the tv stopped working, the screen was blank and noise was coming from the back. This was returned and refunded in December Last year as the fault could not be fixed. We purchased the QN700B which was only delivered last month. Firstly the parts delivered were incorrect, but most importantly the TV HAS STOPPED WORKING AGAIN!! Yesterday the tv switched off on its own. Today the screen is black when you switch the tv on, but you can hear the sound. Disappointed is an understatement. The standards of Samsung have dropped. I now have to climb mountains just to get customer service to understand what I am saying. Just disappointed please save your money and buy a different tv brand.

Can't fault the picture... beautiful 4K and UHD. But the sound has some issues. Turn up the volume too loud, or add too much bass, and the speakers give out distortion and vibrate irritatingly... and suggested fixes online...? Turn the volume and bass down!! Why have speakers in the device that then can't handle the volume range or bass settings beyond a certain point. All fine with an external speaker, but very disappointing for a high end high price TV to not have top level sound capability

My TV keep rebooting itself within first three months and had to replace the screen twice within just over 1 year. TV built quality is a joke. TV back panel is flimsy and fragile, had to replace after first time replacing the screen. The engineer who replace the screen broke it with little touch. No wonder Samsung gave 5 years warranty. 8K? not even close. Processor struggling with 4K video on youtube. I can see image lagging. Not recommend 8K version. NO! I would say not Samsung TV.

I bought this tv in April and is turning itself off and some times on again every 5/10 mins. When that happens it goes completely black but you can hear the sound still, then it starts flashing Neo QLED 8k on white for half a second and then it goes completely off. Do not buy this TV, it’s faulty.it looks fantastic and It might work for a short while but very soon it we’ll break. Obviously Samsung won’t recognise that it’s a faulty product because of the costs. But they know it’s faulty

Purchase in July, it's already back with a authorised repairer because of this rebooting issue I'm seeing many others with. Unacceptable from Samsung. I expected much better (and have had much better from Samsung in the past). I'd also say that some of the headline features are underwhelming, and the UI is incredibly slow. I'll be thinking twice about my next TV purchase as normally Samsung is my go to. I'd love to submit a complaint if I could find the correct email.

Rubbish. Waited over a month to finally get this tv even though delivery was meant to be in 2 days. When it finally arrived the screen had red lines going down the screen. Samsung collected the faulty tv without replacing straight away, had to wait another 3 weeks for replacement. This one now when switched on there is no picture but sound. Tv needs to be unplugged and replugged. Overall very poor product and service from samsung. You have been warned do not buy.

Shame on Samsung for even putting this on the market. As other have mentioned the OS freezes and crashes all the time. Want to open the settings? Good luck. As far as picture quality goes, wow what a disappointment. Using it as a monitor and the icons have their color blown out bad. Local dimming appears to have major issues. When I turn it to low it gets better. In all, I have nothing good to say about this product and will be returning it.

DO NOT BUY THIS TV! I bought this 6 months ago and and after 3 months it started resetting on its own. This got progressively worse and within days it started happening every 15 minutes. 2 days later it would not come on at all! Samsung tried to help but their 'support' team failed to ring me back after days and days of chasing. The picture and TV wasn't even that impressive to start with. If you want to avoid problems, avoid this TV.

I received this TV a few weeks ago as an exchange for an older model that was having connection problems and this TV is such an improvement!. The picture is crisp and clear, saturated with bright colour detail and when listening through a sound system using Q Symphony you really get immersed into the film. Also perfect for next gen consoles, the difference when in game mode is immediately noticed. Well worth a buy, thanks Samsung!

Incompatible with Sky. Don’t buy this if you want to watch Sky’s 4K content. Newer Samsung TVs cannot cope with Sky HLG format of 4K picture. You will get random strobing, colour shifts and dark blacks appearing purple and pixelated. Works well with all other 4K HDR content (Netflix, Disney etc) but Samsungs and Sky don’t mix. It’s a known issue but neither company is willing to address it and issue a firmware fix. Avoid.

I took a chance getting last year's model and it was one of my best decisions ever. I kept my previous TV for 7 years so I saw this as not a real problem and the TV that I received has, so far, delighted me in every way and I am still discovering its many features. Originally bought the 2021 model which broke with a “common fault” within 5 months of buying it the fault was that common it took Samsung nearly 2 months to take ownership of the fault and to replace it with this 2022 model. Now this model decides to restart whenever it wants and the standard speaker system is that rubbish that the tv needs to be between 80-100 to hear what’s going on!!

Complete piece of junk just like the one they already replaced. Already started turning itself off and on like the first one they already had to replace. I'd upload a video of that but can't because it won't let me here. Picture is bang average. 4K is OK but HD is poor on most channels. Just don't bother. Always had a Samsung but this will be the last. Feel completely let down by them.

I purchased the 8k qled TV (QE55QN700ATXXU) on 1st April 2022 and I must say I was very impressed with the TV. The non HD channels were a little grainy but the HD channels were good. When I streamed full HD vid's from YouTube the picture quality was amazing. From September to October of this year (2022), the tv has been constantly restarting and the screen goes blank and continues to play the sound. I've gone through the troubleshooting suggestions and it hasn't fixed the issue. I now have an engineer coming to examine the TV in 10 days time. From reading the helpful forums, it looks like there is a serious issue with the TV, which will require a new TV. I've proceeded to read reviews of the 2022 model of the tv, and have seen the same issues. Can Samsung advise of a product that is a reliable option to purchase? I'd rather keep all of my electrical products with Samsung but I fear I may have to move to LG for a TV.

Amazing picture so far. One box could be a bit smaller but it isn't an issue. Biggest problem is region lock. Only UK and Ireland satellite operators available. Tv won't read chanel list from CI module from another country like my 2020 LG tv. I will have to do list by myself on 3rd party software on PC.

First, please proceed with restarting the TV by following these easy steps: unplug your TV from the wall socket > Disconnect all external devices > Wait 30 seconds, then plug your TV back in > Connect your external devices > Using your remote, turn your TV on. Should this not help, please check if the screen goes black while watching something specific from an app or channel, or when watching content from a connected external device. Please unplug all external devices to see if the issue continues, and make sure to be using a 2-metre long HDMI.org certified cable with your connected devices.
