I Bought My Samsung galaxy A16 5g in November 2024 and I love the phone, it’s not the fastest but it does everything well for the price, connectivity has been great, call quality is great, photo quality is great, battery life is amazing, charging speed is awesome and fast , no complaints at all especially with the phone still having expandable memory Via a micro SD card which isn’t available on the galaxy s25ultra even, and for only having one bottom speaker it sounds great and plenty loud enough to use for music and YouTube videos or for gaming.

I usually don't like leaving reviews on anything i buy but this product disappoints me. Bought this last Dec (today is 01/27/26) from an authorized reseller. And after a system update One UI 8 this green tint/smudge appeared on low brightness in dark grey areas. Tho performance wise this does its job very well. Ps. photo attached isn't mine i don't have an extra to take picture but picture below is what i'm experiencing.

It's alright but it's lacking and don't have a lot of features that my older samsung phone have like the gallery is different, can't customize the phone all together because you don't have goodlock on a16 and many more but it's alright I guess not the best but functional

Hubby bought it last January 4, 2025, sadly there are no freebies, like charger adopters that cost 1, 1990 alone. I have been a Samsung user for a long time, but Samsung is not that generous this time.

Display This is easily the highlight. Samsung knows screens better than anyone, and it shows. You’re getting a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel that’s bright (800 nits) and crisp. Colors are punchy, and the 90Hz refresh rate makes scrolling feel smooth. If you primarily use your phone for streaming, social media, or reading, you’ll be genuinely impressed—it punches well above its price tag here. Battery Battery life is rock-solid. With a 5,000mAh capacity, it easily cruises through a full day, and if you’re a light user, you might even squeeze two days out of it. Just a heads-up: it supports 25W charging, which is okay, but it’s not exactly lightning-fast by modern standards. Also, remember that Samsung doesn't include a charger in the box, so you’ll need to have a USB-C PD brick handy. Camera It’s a "get what you pay for" situation. The 50MP main lens captures decent, sharp photos in good lighting, which is perfect for everyday snapshots. However, it struggles once the sun goes down—expect some noise and grain in low-light shots since it lacks optical image stabilization (OIS). The ultra-wide and macro lenses are really just "filler" lenses; they’ll get the job done in a pinch, but don't expect pro-level versatility. Performance This is the area where you need to be realistic. The A16 is not a speed demon. Because it often comes with 4GB of RAM and entry-level chipsets (like the Exynos 1330 or Dimensity 6300), the software can feel a bit sluggish. You’ll notice stutters when switching between apps or trying to do too much at once. If you’re a casual user, it’s perfectly functional, but if you’re a power user or a gamer, you will likely find the lag frustrating. Connectivity Connectivity is standard across the board—5G support is there (if you grab the 5G model), along with reliable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. While most people have no issues, there have been some isolated reports of signal drops, so it's something to keep an eye on if you live in an area with spotty reception. The Bottom Line The A16 is a "value king" largely because of Samsung’s six-year software update commitment. You’re buying a phone that’s meant to last, which is rare for this price point. It’s an excellent choice for a secondary device, a phone for a student, or for anyone who just wants a reliable screen and battery for the basics. If you’re expecting flagship-level speed, though, you’ll want to look elsewhere.
