How to connect Gear IconX to a mobile device

With the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone or tablet, you can control the earbuds, adjust certain settings, and more. Pairing your earbuds with your phone or tablet is practically effortless. You just need the Galaxy Wearable app installed on your phone or tablet.

Note: 

  • You can download the Samsung Gear app only on mobile devices running the Android operating system 4.4 or later, and with 1.5 GB of Memory or more.
  • Device screenshots and menus may vary depending on the device model and software version.

Step 1. Check the direction of each earbud, correctly insert them into their corresponding slots in the charging case, and close it. If the earbud indicator lights do not flash, connect the charging cable and charge them for more than 10 minutes.

Step 2. Open the charging case. The earbuds will enter Bluetooth pairing mode automatically and a pop-up window will appear on your mobile device in case Bluetooth is activated on a mobile device.

  • When the charging case’s indicator light flashed in red, take out the earbuds from the charging case and insert them into the case again.
  • If the earbuds do not connect to a mobile device within 3 minutes, the Bluetooth pairing mode will be deactivated. If the earbuds have never been connected to a mobile device before, close the charging case again and open it.

Step 3. When the pop-up window appears on your mobile device, tap CONNECT.

Step 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection. Once the earbuds are connected to your mobile device, they will automatically attempt to connect to your mobile device whenever you take them out of the charging case.

Note: If you want to connect to another mobile device after connecting has been established, you have to reinsert the earbuds into the charging case and close it. Press and hold the charging case’s Connect button.

Step 1. On your mobile device, download the Samsung Gear app.

Step 4. On your mobile device, launch the Samsung Gear app and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.

  • If the Bluetooth connection fails or the other device cannot locate the earbuds, remove the device’s information from the other device’s list. Then, try to connect again.
  • Connection methods may vary depending on your device and software version.
