How to set a custom ringtone for a contact on your Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Setting a ringtone on your device is easy to do.  You can assign a track to one of your contacts so you can recognize straight away who is calling.

 Identify the callers with custom ringtones without having to look at your phone's screen. 

Step 1. Go to the contacts app and choose a contact.

Step 2. Tap Edit. This feature will not work for contacts saved in SIM’s memory.

Step 3. Tap View more.

Step 4. Tap ringtone.

Step 5. Select the ringtone from the list or tap Add “+” to select a music file.

Step 6. Tap the back icon.

Step 7. Tap Save to save the ringtone. A customized ringtone is assigned to the chosen contact.
