My device doesn’t recognize the handwriting with S Pen
There are a few different external factors that can interfere with the S Pen's function.
Basic S Pen Troubleshooting
ㆍHard or rubbery surface for writing
ㆍUneven surface can affect consistency
ㆍThickness of screen protector can affect the screen sensitivity
ㆍDirty or old screen protector can affect performance
ㆍRemove the screen protector and retest the S Pen.
Perform a software update on a phone or tablet
On your device, go to Settings > Software update, and then tap Download and install. If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to update your device. After the update, your device will restart.
Open Smart Switch on your PC and connect your phone to your PC using a USB cable. If an update is available for your phone, you will see a blue Update button on the Smart Switch start screen. \
Tap Update > Update > OK , and then tap OK when the update is complete.
If you were having issues before the software update, use the phone or tablet normally to see if the problem has been solved.
Reboot the phone or tablet
Your device will require the backup password to unlock after rebooting.
Press and hold the Power key.
Wait 30 seconds after your device has completely powered off, and then press and hold the Power key until the Samsung logo appears.
