Defects of unauthorized third-party protective films on your Samsung Galaxy devices
If your Galaxy device screen colors look unusual, lines appear on the display, or touch and fingerprint recognition do not work properly, the issue may be caused by an unauthorized third-party protective film. Some third-party tempered glass or protective films may affect display quality, touch performance, and other device functions.
Some unauthorized third-party protective films may have differences in material quality or manufacturing, which can cause the following issues.
Touch or fingerprint recognition might not work properly
Stains, discoloration, or uneven coating on the protective film
Horizontal lines might appear on the screen
Vertical lines might appear on the screen
Vertical stripes might appear under light
Foreign matter or dust might appear at the edge of the screen protector
The protective film might not attach or remove properly
The protective film might become damaged quickly
The protective film size might not fit properly
Oil stains or rainbow-like patterns might appear on the screen

Accessories that pass Samsung’s quality verification process receive the Designed for Samsung logo, which may appear on the product or packaging.
