This Samsung TV is Phenomenal. I bought this TV when I moved to replace a 40 "inch Samsung Smart TV with very limited viewing Apps. Had this new TV for 2 years now and still going Strong. I Had the 40" inch for 10 Years and just gave it away to a neighbor that needed it for their Parents. I hooked up a Samsung Soundbar with Bluetooth and the rest is now history. I haven't gone out to a Movie Theater, since I bought the Theater to my home. Movie Theaters are So expensive now and there going out of business too. Times have really changed,but I am really enjoying my Samsung 55"inch Smart TV TU8300 Curved.

I bought the TU8300 4K Crystal UHD HDR Smart TV (2020), Feb 2021 and it already died a few weeks ago just over 3 yrs old when TV's should last at least 7-10 years. Naturally it would stop well after the warranty. I was watching TV, heard a loud electrical like pop then a black screen for the TV to never turn on again. I changed wall sockets and even plugged another device in the same wall socket the TV was in and nothing wrong with the wall sockets (new house) Needless to say, I have a 100% useless 65" tv mounted on the livingroom wall. This was my last TV purchase, Now it holds Christmas decorations. :-(

PROS: I love curved TVs Navigation simple than other brand Simple Friendly Interface I love the Airplay & Bluetooth support CONS: Poor dark interface, Samsung TV 2018 models and below have a nicer light GUI at the bottom. This was one of the reasons why I sticked with Samsung but got disappointed that when it’s my time to buy, the interface changed! Very limited applications for video streaming in the Philippines! Only iWant and Radio Maria are available aside from worldwide popular Netflix, Prime, HBO Go, Youtube. Samsung PH should have added Cignal, Fox TV Plus, Vivamax and other apps available in other 3rd party devices which converts any TV into Smart TV! Less apps availability is not too smart for TV. But overall, with this TV model itself is very good. I’m just not very satisfied with Smart Hub applications.

It’s my new tv TU8300 55”Curved as of 6/2021 been using it for a while now, exceptional quality and pictures, I love filmmaker mode. Had little backlight issues-if tightened to hard on back mound screws, make sure it’s loose not too hard , add bias LED light to get maximum quality which will fix (white clouding spots) “”””when watching in dark room ! i purchased this tv 2 months ago and have had continous issues with it. it will not turn on even when using the remote or the power button on the tv, and i have to disconnect it from the outlet at least three times a week (per the troubleshooting) to get it to turn on. it is wall mounted which is a real pain. i have tried contacting samsung support for a repair and have been given the run around. i have always purchased lg products but took a chance which was a huge mistake. this tv is laggy, doesn’t connect to airplay, and most inportantly doesn’t turn on over half the time. worst purchase ever.

i really wanted a curved tv since i really liked an older model a friend of mine has. i really do like it-the picture is good-but not great. the one complaint i have is that after turning it off-it disconnects from the internet overnight every time. when i turn it back on it will not connect to the internet without having to hold the power button down on the remote until it reboots. it never disconnects while it is on. this seems to be a common issue with their tv’s going back several years when googling this issue-and it’s hard to believe it is still happening years later with no fix available. it may seem minor but it is extremely irritating and i am contemplating returning it for another brand.

this tv has a awsome picture quality and makes playing my playstation very enjoyable. i would have given this tv 5 stars but i have two problems with it. alexa only works right some of the time. some times you ask her to do something like getting the guide or open an app and she will say she is soung it but doesn’t. secondly it will not work with my ring doorbell. the first day i had it it worked perfect but ever since it will say connecting but never does. other than the two minor things i would still recomend this tv to anyone looking for a good set at a great price.

i've had this tv for less than a month and within the first week, i was experiencing issues. here are the problems i've dealt with so far: - the tv constantly disconnects from the internet. it isn't my router because all other devices (including my firestick) work - apps constantly crash or just won't open (again they work on my firestick) - sometimes the tv won't even turn even after pressing the on the button multiple times - the antenna connector in the back is sideways which makes it very difficult to attach the antenna i bought this tv based on the previous reviews but i wish i had looked into buying a different brand all togehter. i'm not sure if i got a bad batch but i'm very disappointed in this samsung product.

I primarily use it to for video streaming and gaming, both of which are phenomenal with this TV. The gaming mode really enhances the picture when I'm playing games, and with the HDR compatibility, games like Destiny 2 look absolutely stunning with the range of colors and shadows that a normal TV wouldn't be able to display. I am, overall, impressed by this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone who games or just wants a nicer TV in general.

Not sure if I’m missing something but mine is definitely not crystal display, the HD quality is good but the picture itself is not great, it’s not as clear as it claims to be. The features are great and easily accessible, the internet is a lot faster than my previous tv and fire tv stick. I was excited about the mobile mirroring but the specs fails to mention only Samsung and android are compatible. The curve isn’t very noticeable. The amplified sound is really good. I was really excited about the tv but was a little disappointed after setting it up.

This tv replaced a Samsung that we bought in 2011. The previous tv still had a beautiful picture, but it was a 40" and the sound had diminished. The new 55" tv also has an impressive picture and the sound is an improvement over the old one. The remote has many fewer buttons because there are more menus on the tv, and it has a learning curve for us (we're older). The set-up and connections were much simpler than with the previous tv, and we don't experience as much light reflection on the screen. We're pleased with the tv and recommend it.

this tv was the latest addition to my already multitude of samsung tv's. this replaced a 42" samsung tv i had in my game room. the curved screen feature is awesome and just envelopes you into the movies. the clarity of the picture is top notch from what i expect from samsung! the majority of my home appliances are samsung as well. quality workmanship and performance are what they are about. if samsung ever wants to send me a new range to add to the rest of my samsung products, i would be more than willing to accept and give another review! :)

The picture is fantastic, It seems to be as thin as the pictures on the wall next to it, The customer support is great they are there 24 hours a day, The features are incredible, it is like I bought a computer with some of the things it can do, my television is no longer just a tether to my cable provider. The processing power is new cell phone quick, I love how my galaxy s10 connects directly to the tv, its the easiest thing in the world to do! The remote could be a little more functional but it serves its purpose. I absolutely love the new tube, thank you Samsung once again!!!!

This TV has been an excellent TV from the word go. It was super simple to set up, and get connected to our wireless network. The Samsung TV plus that comes with it has been excellent. We watch that most of all, although for more current and original shows we have multiple streaming services as well. It was a great buy. I'd buy it again, but I look forward to our next Samsung purchase with a newer model. The only thing I wish is that my phone and laptop (both samsung products) are not able to talk to the TV.

when i first bought the tv it was great picture quality is pretty okay for what im paying for but i noticed all late about that it, it judders most of the time when im watching a practically anything that involves with a show moving to fast like its pretty obvious too. also ive been having problems with the wifi connection to the tv i checked twice already with my provider but its the tv itself at first the tv wouldnt connect to the wifi we had to setup wifi like it was new & then eventually it would be connected but would be slow to connect. later i contacted samsung to get it fixed they sorta fixed it my tv’s system is just slower now & doesnt perform like it did since the first day. overall im just sad about the picture quality as well. bummed out because i was excited to get this tv

i was looking at upgrading our first generation 4k samsung tv. we needed a curved tv to work better with the layout of our apartment. we were also looking for a newer tv because we are streaming more often than we did in the past years. this tv does much better with all streaming apps, without dropping the signal. the clarity of image was awesome. the audio was a little bit less strong than i was expected, but we purchased a sound bar a few weeks ago and it has been a better overall experience.

awkward set up i need to download an app from samsung? are you serious? antenna connector is in the most stupid place. apple play just doesn’t seem to work. lots of mura effect in the corners of the display. assembling the stand is a weird thing. they put the left leg on the right side of the screen and the right leg on the left side. no easily visible labels. really cheap speakers. the sound is horrendous. are you smart remote controlling other devices as useless. every time is powered on the smart menu comes up and stays there for an annoying 20 to 30 seconds. i would love to thing to just go to hdmi 1 70% of the features will never be used i’d rather see money put into quality. i’d love to see a printed book so i don’t have to stop what i’m watching to see instruction book

Bought this TV couple of years ago. All was good until out of the blue it started to turn on and off. Took it to a repair shop and first they told me was the power supply. Replaced the power supply, then started working but only for few minutes and then I could sense the smell of a burned component and the screen became darker with a horizontal shadow in the middle. I was told the TV has a short in the screen and is not worth repairing. When looking at the inside of this TV you realize it is a disaster in waiting, all components are exposed to dust and it is a matter of time until something will fail. Feels like the whole TV is a giant plastic toy. This is the second Samsung TV that breaks after only a couple of years. I will never buy another Samsung TV, the quality and reliability is beyond any standard.

It's a great TV because it's the Samsung. But what is frustrating is that? I cannot get my Samsung account to be logged in. It will not let me access that Samsung pass. It will not let me add my account. Whatsoever, I've fallen all the instructions. And to no avail, I cannot get my account login Bixby wont-work. I bought this TV in December 2016. We bought Samsung because we thought it was a better made product than the other TVs being sold. We were wrong. We now have white spots on the screen. I tried all the suggested remedies and nothing worked. I googled the problem "Samsung TV white spots on screen" and it seems that Samsung has a lot of complaints about these white spots. And the only solution is to take apart the back of the TV and glue the LED lights back onto the screen. Apparently Samsung uses very cheap glue and these LED lights start to fall off of the screen and therefore leaves white spots on the TV screen while viewing. And our warranty is out. I will not spend this kind of money on a Samsung TV again. I might as well get a cheaper TV and if this happens to the cheap TV I won't feel ripped off. My Model is: UN55KU6500FXZA

this is a great tv. i so appreciate samsung products for their quality and ease of use. i tried and returned an lg tv which was a nightmare to set up and never would connect to the internet. this samsung crystal uhd curved tv was a true plug-n-play device. the picture and sound is wonderful. the ability to use one remote for all functions plus voice control are major pluses. i expect to get many years of enjoyment from this tv!

the one connect device just stopped working. the tv is less than 3yrs old and this device is almost half the price of the tv. moreso, the useless samsungparts lead me to believe the part was on its way for 6months before emailing me that they were not sending the new one connect. why is this device prone to go out so easy. this tv has been sitting on the floor in my bedroom for almost a year...useless.

so far I have had this TV a little over a year, bought this as an upgrade for the series 6 curved samsung tv, wish I never bothered! the screen refresh rate is so slow and looks distorted! there is a lag across the screen when people move. Seems much slower than the series 6 when selecting apps such as disney/netflix etc ... by far worst decision I made trying to 'upgrade'. extremely disappointed.

it was easy to set up and the picture quality is fantastic with really vivid colors! sure it took a little tweeking to get getting the perfect pictur but this is normal for every new tv. i think it is a great tv. my only complaint is that the usb port is( like most sets) is stuck in the rear of the set instead of the front! it is really difficult to get to the rear of a 55 inch set.

this curved tv is probably the most expensive ive purchased but i love it. everything from all the different apps and dynamics even the sound could use a bit of a touching up cause i have to adjust when i cannot hear people talk and then turn it back down when music is playing in whatever i am watching. but its still fantastic in my book havenf had any issues with it.

The beautiful picture it creates is what I needed for my ps4 pro. Also I love the way the apps are integrated into the TV so smoothly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sorry people real model is UN55TU8300FXZA. This is the last curved Samsung has made over the years. Mine is over 5yrs old. It's still in astonishingly perfect condition. Picture is still fantastic. Only now after all these years can you see a true difference when you look at the OLED'S. Up until now my Samsung has only given me countless days and hours of Crystal Clear HD TV. Yes refresh is only 60hz but look at the years gone by. Currently I also use it as the monitor for my PC. Display resolution is 3840×2160 and that's flawless. Computer doesn't have HDR so nothing to compare there. This Samsung TV has served me flawlessly through out the years. Only after looking at the newest OLED'S have I been contemplating getting a new one. Like a 65' S90F. But for now folks I've had Samsung's forever and they've never failed to always impress me. So I know for sure that my next purchase, and all the ones after that, will be SAMSUNG.

i love my new samsung, the only thing i would liked to have seen would be programmable "speed dials" on the remote. currently it has "speed dials" for netflix, prime, and samsung tv. three more below those that are selectable by the owner would be great (e.g. youtube tv, disney +, hulu, etc...). even so, it's not burdensome to get where you need to get.

great picture quality - easy to set-up too. my continuing problem is that the samsung tv plus app does not load properly. it just buffers and then finally says it cannot load and to check network settings or try again later. the network settings are fine cause all the other apps run fine. samsung - fix your own app!!

i like everything about the television’s performance. the only thing i don’t like is the feet, they didn’t fit the stand i use so i had to go with a wall mount. most televisions use the same type feet instead of a single base type stand so it didn’t influence my choice but would have if a center base was available.

Got this tv in a Christmas party raffle. It replaced our old Samsung on the enclosed porch. The speakers are terrible. Volume control ranges between 75-100 and often times you still can’t understand what’s being said. Amplify helps but still not great. Picture is very nice.

This is actually our 2nd Samsung Curved 55" TV. The legs create a little height that we subdued by staging with reading books. But the TV, fantastic. These smart TVs where you can have apps and eliminate the need for DVD players is really neat. Easy to set up.

No videos on assembling the legs on the 65” or bigger…. Use the styrofoam from the sides lay on the floor in front of tv standing in the box…two people lift and set the tv on the styrofoam and assemble the legs…that way you don’t lay it down!

over all a very good tv. i am experiencing many programs where the voice is out of sync with the picture. my other tv's are in sync when i try the same channel. not a huge problem but annoying

I love this TV. Picture and sound quality both fantastic. It is so easy to use. The slight curve to the screen really makes a difference to viewing angle and eliminates glare. Fantastic!

Unsure about the curved screen but very happy now that I have it. It’s crystal clear very any angle. Some of our furniture is placed far to the side a the picture remains crystal clear.

there is nothing not to like about my 65" curved tv. any apps that i use ( youtube tv, disney plus, hulu etc.) are easy to download and use. i even have my google nest hub connected.
