I am using mostly to track exercise and sleep. It has lots of other useful apps and i really like not having to get my phone out to read a text. You can also reply really easily. Its really easy to use, the touch screen works really well to navigate. I feel more motivated being able to see my steps, activity and calories burned just from 1 quick swipe to my tiles. It also reminds me to get active. The battery does loast me the full day and charges really fast, I charge before I go to bed so I can track my sleep.

You'll forever be missed :'(. But man, was this a total life changing upgrade from my old Watch. The features are way more accurate, display and feedback with the system is immediate and smooth, and the battery lasts me two days on one charge. Amazing. Also don't even get me started on the sleek new look of it.. it's amazing. Modern, not bulky, and still stylish. The lavender band is my favorite part. Overall, I'm really impressed and happy I was able to get myself this Galaxy Watch5, and for a birthday gift to myself at that. Very pleased with the product!

When I was given the opportunity to try out the new galaxy watch 5 I jumped at the chance and was not disappointed. From the setup to my Flip4 to the day to day usage it is fantastic. the scrolling function is great and the large bezel makes it easier to see the information on the screen. I use it to make payments, track health and listen to music. it looks great and the battery life is a lot better. I'm still finding out more of what it can do and love the safety features for SOS and crash detection which hopefully I never have to use but is a great feature. There are loads of watch faces and the interactivity with my phone is seamless. Love my new gadget.

The watch is a nice piece of technology that helps a lot if you are really into fitness. There is so much things to look at when it comes to health app and I would say it is very accurate. I like how it's got a blood pressure monitoring and even an ECG. I can definitely say it is on the health side gadget. I love that I can use it as my shooting remote for my phone when taking photos and videos and it is very compatible with my Samsung Note 20 Ultra phone. It is easy to use. A lot of useful apps. The pairing for bluetooth earpiece for music is absolutely working well. The only downside is the battery. I hope it last longer. I can maximize it to 30 hours using as a watch only but if other apps are running the battery goes down really fast. Over all I love this watch and I am happy with it.

It was very easy to set up and I was up and running in a few mins due to already having had a previous watch installed. Lots of watch faces to choose from for free which is a bonus as you can swap as often as you like and make it look different. I quite liked the new design of the strap how it tucks under rather than flapping on top. The charger lies flat which isn't great I prefer my old one that it sits side on and then the straps tuck round. I use it a lot to keep a track of my steps, sleep and great for checking messages without having to get my phone out. I tried the ecg option which was interesting. I'm a bit disappointed in the battery length time as it lasts 1 and half days or 2 if very lucky then it needs charged. So bit mixed feelings as it was supposed to be an upgrade samsung but don't know if for me it was worth it but I'm happy with it and it's always good to treat yourself.

Even though that watch received the wear os 3 update but the responsiveness was never near the Samsung Watch 5. For small wrists this watch is perfect. Pros: 1. google pay - very responsive compared to any other watch 2. With a work around i was able to download google assistant by searching "Assistant" in the play store 3. It even has a photo option where i can see the viewfinder of my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra camera on the watch and take a photo from the watch including a preview. 4. Very Fast, No Lag 5. No compatibility issues 6. Very easy to Use 7. Amazing Workout options and auto recognising my motions Cons: 1. Battery life - The watch does a lot so i just about manage to get a day 2. The watch is let down a very rich software so it demands a lot. Rest i have even ordered a matching strap to go with the Rose Gold and looking forward to the next Galaxy Watch 6 or 7 for my next upgrade.

With it's stylish design and lightweight feel you'll forget you're even wearing a smartwatch until it vibrates to signal a new message. It was very easy to set up and very user friendly. It's a seemless blend of features including sleep and fitness tracking and presents all the information you need in an easy to understand home screen depending on which watchface you have chosen. The screen is very clear and easy to read and sending messages is very straightforward without needing my phone. The only downside to the watch is that the battery doesn't last more than 2 days but I charge it every morning when getting ready so this isn't as big an issue. I currently mostly use the watch for sleep tracking and fitness tracking and the body composition monitor is a game changer as it helps me keep track of my goals. Overall I am very happy with the Galaxy Watch5 and can't wait to try out all the features it has to offer.

The watch has a lot of health monitoring features such as sleep monitor, ECG, pulse, oxygen saturation. The best part is it explains what this reading means to stop you being the worried well and for step count it compares you to others of your age so you can see when you have to improve. My favourite measurement is the stress one so it can show if the mindfulness and breathing exercise have improved it. It has samsung pay so you can easily buy your coffee when you are training and the face and apps can be personalised to what works for you. You can read your emails and even reply so its less intrusive than whipping out your mobile.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On first impressions, the Galaxy watch 5 is extremely stylish and attractive, it fits well on the wrist and is very lightweight and comfortable. The instruction manual is short and sweet and tells you the basics and how to charge the watch etc but to properly set it up, you must have a compatible phone and be able to download the Samsung Wearable app. It doesn't take long to get used to the device and you'll soon find swiping back and forth to different apps and tiles becomes second nature. You are able to customise the screen to your liking by changing the layout, background and fonts and you're also able to rearrange your apps as well. So far it's been great to experience everything this watch has to offer and I've enjoyed trying out all of its functions and features. This Watch is absolutely brilliant on the health aspect as well as being able to handle all the basics like calls and messages. The battery life seems to be really good so far and lasts me the whole day which is fantastic. Now for the reason I have deducted a star. Unfortunately the watch is not compatible for those who have tattoos in the area that you'll be wearing the watch and unless you search for this info online, Samsung are not very upfront about this issue which is disappointing. It still works as a normal watch but it can cause issues with notifications etc and will not perform the functions like blood pressure, heart rate monitoring and other diagnostic functions. When placed against an area of skin that has no tattoos, these functions all work fine but once it is placed on tattooed skin, they do not work. As tattoos are getting more and more popular and more people have them these days, this information should be provided upfront or hopefully in the future, Samsung can work on a fix for this issue.

If you have a Samsung phone I definitely recommend you get the watch5, it's easy to set up and connect to your phone and then just wear it. As simple as that.. You can answer calls, reply to texts, see all your notifications. It tracks your steps and any exercises you do, also tracks your sleep, blood oxygen etc.. You can measure your body composition, ECG, blood pressure etc.. So many useful things to keep track of your health and well-being. But it's not just all about health and fitness, you can listen to music, set alarms or cancel alarms, set reminders etc.. So many things that you can do on your phone you can access from your watch which is really handy when you're out and about so you don't need to keep taking out your phone. You can connect your watch to your buds to listen to music without draining your phone battery. Anyway I previously had the watch4 and in terms of looks the watch4 and the watch5 look the same. Honestly I haven't noticed too much difference just yet as I've only had it a little while, I'm yet to explore everything on my new watch! But one thing I did notice is that my battery on my new watch lasts longer than my old watch and it charges up so quickly too compared to the watch4. But all-in-all if you have the watch4 and you're happy with it then I'd say don't upgrade to watch5, there's not much difference. I'm excited to see what the next model will be like and the new features on there, so hold out until then.. But if you have an older model or don't have a Samsung smart watch then definitely think about getting a watch5, I feel like it's the best companion for your phone and you will get good usage out of it. It's opened up my ability to track my exercise more accurately and give me stats that I haven't had before, such as EPG, stress levels and heart rate. I love that you can personalise your screen to see the information that's important to you and also personalise the information on the watch that you want to be seeing on there. My only negative is the battery life - it says it should have 40 hours, but I have to charge it every 24 - 28 hours. After the first initial week of playing around with it, I'm not a heavy user, so I can't see how the battery would last for 40 hrs unless you didn't activate it at all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wearing the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 for over a week now and I am really impressed by it. The display is brilliant, crystal clear and vibrant colours. The overall size of the Galaxy Watch5 is also great for a smaller wrist such as my own, it feels less intrusive than some of the other smart watches I've worn. The weight if the Galaxy Watch5 is also another plus point, it doesn't feel like you are wearing it most of the time, it's very comfortable to wear, especially at night when using to track your sleep. The look of the Galaxy Watch5 is also really smart, clean lines and minimalistic button help with the tidy overall feel. In comparison to other Samsung smart watches the missing bevel on the Galaxy Watch5 makes it a little less fluid to navigate through the menus, but the ability to sroll round the screen to speed through the navigation is a great way to counter the lack of bevel. The app catalogue from the Google Play Store seems to be getting a lot bigger with more compatible apps now available since earlier models of smart watches so this is a plus too. This makes it easy to check some of your regular phone apps on the go from the Galaxy Watch5, and the addition of Google Wallet is a huge plus for Android users, who may not own a Samsung phone, or those who chose not to use Samsung Pay. The app makes it perfect to paying for things with a simple flick of your wrist. I haven't explored them too much as of yet but there are a number of accessibility features that can be enabled in the settiny menu which is a great addition too, with the Talkback function and high contrast themes to help those who need this assistance to also use the Galaxy Watch5. All in all its an amazing little device for those looking for a smart watch to use day to day as an addition to your phone. The only little niggle is the battery life, its small. You are lucky ig you get a day and half use out of it, and that would be really limiting the use of it to achieve this length of time, so you will be charging it every day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What can I say, the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 blew me away. My main concern with a smart watch is if it'll do the "basic" things well. Does it hold a solid connection, does it hang and stutter while being used, and is the battery life up to scratch. I can categorically say the watch does all of these things and more! First, lets talk about the design - it's sleek, minimalistic and customisable. I was given the Rose Gold (my last choice), and was worried it would look too feminine for my liking. However, with a swap of the straps and a Sprigen case, I now prefer it to the all black Pro that I wanted! The black straps enhance the rose gold/bronze highlights, making it a real eye catcher. Also, the two buttons on the side are tactical with just the right amount of feedback. I've used other branded watches in the past who's buttons a "spongey" and not satisfying to use. Next up is the Wear OS3 and the Galaxy Watch app, which work perfectly! I ran into one bug (trying to get google assistant to work), but a quick restart fixed it. The watch is fast, responsive and packed full of features. I can change faces, settings, check stats and update things all through my phone, which sometimes is just more convenient. All of the default tiles are useful, well laid out and offer a lot of information. They're also fully customisable so I can set the watch up how I'd like. Finally, I was incredibly impressed by the battery life and fitness/health tracking. Just yesterday I used my watch as normal, no exercise involved, and ended a full day with 71% charge. On days I've gone for a walk, or hit the gym, I've ended the day with around 30% charge. This can of course vary, depending on intensity of use and if any updates have been installed. But all in all, I've been amazed by the battery. The same can be said about the fitness tracking and options. A blood pressure monitor and ECG built into my watch? That's amazing. The fitness tracking is detailed and flawlessly recognised when I started a workout, or just set off on a walk. In conclusion, the Galaxy Watch5 is the perfect smart watch for what I need. It does all of the basics flawlessly, and has enough extra features to keep up with me and encourage me to try more things out! I'd highly recommend anyone with an Android phone (or even more so with a Samsung), to give this watch a try!

First thing I like is that the screen is big and clear and has no bezel where as the Samsung 4 had and it came in the way of messaging. Pros - The looks is very sleek and the amount this watch can do is quite good! It has a seamless connection with your phone which is very handy! Cons- Battery is shocking! with 100% charge, listening to music at the gym, recording my exercise for 1- 2hrs I always have to charge mine everyday which didn't happen on my older watches? I gathered that there are a lot of apps on my watch, which I think is a waste of time as I barely use them and even with uninstalling them or force to stop somehow my battery is being eaten rather quickly.... I only had this for about less than 1 week and constantly having to charge it is definitely a let down!

This smartwatch is a clear step-up. Samsung has upgraded the keyboard and a whole host of other features. The screen is much not durable. And the device is much more responsive. My old watch would slow down easily. This one is very snappy. Plus it overheats less. All in all a fantastic experience and a must-have for anyone with a Samsung phone. My favorite features are the exercise monitors and the fact that I can see all my phones notifications without having to actually pull out my phone. I just have to glance at my watch.

Cons: Feel like battery life is shorter compared to original galaxy watch (my old device) Silicone strap irritates me Lacks a bezel which I actually liked. Basically I upgrade from and original Galaxy Watch. Time was kind to it but with recent changes in my personal life I knew I needed a device that could keep up with those changes. I wanted something that could help monitor my health more while keeping the same communication options. This was the one for me. Set up was really simple. Easy to switch data over and was using within half hour of unpacking. I've been using it for approximately two weeks and there's not much I can complain about. Just aesthetics to me but usability is so much better than the older generations. Variety of backgrounds available for the watch. I tend to have a semi classic style, which isn't too crowded. As you can see from my pictures. I like to keep my watch screen and casing protected and there's a variety of products out to do that. I just chose something that looked pretty too 😊 My only gripe and it's a small one is that I feel like the battery runs out a lot quicker than I'm used too, but that is most likely due to this having more functions that run constantly. Overall I love the watch and have been showing it off quite a lot, also recommending to friends who are in search of something similar.

I just received my watch 5 a couple of days ago. It is a nice looking watch but there were absolutely no instructions in the box. Going to the internet to set it up is very iffy. I have figured out how to get it running with help fromt my phone. One of the main reasons I bought the watch was to track my blood pressure. Still not able to set that up and track it. Also, I bought the protection for 2 years. I still have not been able to get into the knox website to register it. I received an email that says if I don't have it set up by July 27th, my plan will be cancelled. Everything about this watch is very difficult to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Design: The watch is well designed and comfortable to wear. The buttons are easy to reach and customisable to which functions you use most. The colour is a little too pink (Pink Gold) for my liking, even after changing the strap still was very pink. Functionality: Having previously owned samsung smart watches I was really excited to see that Google pay was reintroduced! This has been so useful when your hands are full with stuff to get your wallet of your pocket. The fitness tracking is some of the best I've used with it clearly displaying heart rate zones while I'm at the gym so I know I need to push further to get the most out of my workout. In terms of workouts it offers more workouts than any previous samsung smart watch with intelligent tracking to figure out which exercise you're doing. Screen: The screen is really bright in high light situations such as the gym and the light sensor does a really good job at picking it up as I move from room to room, at night when I'm settling down or have woken up in the middle of the night, the sensor immediately drops the brightness. Sleep: The sleep tracking is brilliant. It has snore detection and blood oxygen monitoring so it's really good if you have sleep apnea and need to keep an eye on those details! I used it to keep track of my sleep post work out and whether I was resting enough post work out, if I hadn't had good quality sleep, I didn't go to the gym that day. Overall: Overall I think this watch is a huge improvement on previous iterations in the samsung watch ranges, its smarter, even more feature rich than before and its battery life is almost the same at 3 days for me before I needed to charge it and, it charges in a couple of hours so you're not waiting long at all. The only huge gripe I have with it, is the USB-C to wireless charger. I had to get a separate power brick for this because its not something I had available.

The watch arrived in good packaging and with instructions so I immediately scanned the QR code to get the full instructions. The watch has lots of features and feels really comfortable on my wrist. I like the way the strap tucks away! I've mostly used mine for exercise and monitoring my sleep patterns. The battery life seems OK, however, I charge it every evening ready for the next day. The screen is a good size without being too bulky. I'm really impressed and so glad I got to take part in the project and definitely recommend the watch.

As I have now found out after trying to set my watch up, the ECG and Blood pressure does not work in New Zealand. While I understand this, I feel that Samsung, Noel Leeming, PB Tech should have this on their websites, as ALL state this has a feature of this watch. I am now stuck with this watch as you can’t return this item. If I’m not mistaken this is misleading advertising, and will be contacting Consumer NZ for these companies misleading New Zealanders. I would have brought a different product that covers these features. To say I am disappointed is under statement, especially as I saved up to buy this watch.

I purchased this watch mainly for using BP and ECG. But I am unable to use BP & ECG even though this feature exists in the watch. According to Samsung, I am not able to use BP & ECG feature because my mobile phone is purchased in different country other than Australia (Asian country). Very disappointed. I purchased the watch in Australia. And I am using the watch in Australia. You cannot use Mobile app to check BP and ECG. But using BP and ECG feature in the WATCH is made dependent on where you had bought your phone rather than where you have bought your watch and where you use your watch??? Very strange.

Not great for working out. The heart rate tracker is not consistent when using it for "Stair Climber" workouts - occasionally the watch is unable to record my heart rate. Sometimes only half of my heart rate during my stair climber workout is recorded. It is also inaccurate when using it for an "Other Workout". For ex. when doing Pilates (labeled as "Other Workout" on the watch) somehow my heart rate is as fast as if I were sprinting on the treadmill. I then check my heart rate manually and it is no where near as high. In summary, there is something wrong with the heart rate tracker for "Stair Climber" and "Other Workout". Other types of heart rate tracking for workouts - works as expected.

I have had this watch for 3 days. It does not alert me to calls or messages. The call comes through, but no sound or vibration and black screen. No text notifications at all. I have Googled my heart out and tried every single suggestion but nothing helps. The heart rate monitor doesn't work continuously like it's set to - I have to put my finger under the watch for it to read my heart rate and I'm worried this puts strain on the strap. I have tried wearing it tighter and looser. I've had a Garmin Lily which was great but this Galaxy is full of gimmicks and doesn't work. I'm very disappointed.

I was really excited about trying the watch and I knew it wouldn't disappoint and would be perfect as I could pair it with my Samsung phone. The only thing I was concerned about was that I have very small wrists and I was worried it would look too chunky however that was not the case.. I loved the watch as soon as I put it on and I was excited to try out all the features. The watch keeps me active which is just what I need, it reminds me when I have been inactive for too long, it tracks my physical activity and also monitors my sleeping patterns. I love the dispay and how you can choose what information you want displayed ie date, steps, heart rate etc. I also like how it has a selection of activities on there when you are working out for a more acurate calorie count. The watch has so many features some which I am still discovering. Overall I love my new watch and I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking to buy a smart watch.

The watch looks lovely but I regret buying it for a few reasons. First of all, for its price, it could provide you with an alternative watch strap, something a bit less sporty for other occasions, therefore I had to buy one myself. Secondly, I wear the watch mainly for counting steps and the battery life is absolutely shocking, I have to charge it every single day - I had higher expectations from Samsung and an expensive watch, to be honest. I haven't used many of its other functions but I can only imagine if I did, the battery might not even last all day. I am very disappointed, to be honest, and wouldn't have bought it if I knew about this. My husband has a watch 3 and his lasts for days! A bit of a let down, I'm afraid.

Love the changeable straps too. Easy to personalise not only the look but also the function on screen to suit your needs. I find the Heart rate monitor better on this one it seems more accurate and consistent than the 4 or active versions. I've used the walking and other workout options and found it very simple to track and use. Battery if using all functions does drain quickly but it's better than the 4 overall as I'm not charging every day. Love that I can access messages and notifications easily without needing to use phone. Handy for gym and out and about. Screen is more responsive than previous models which I lile Overall very similar to Samsung galaxy 4 but with more advanced features for health,fitness and sleep. Well designed and good quality- seems durable although I always keep a case on watches! Battery could be improved but if using dor basic fitness tracking and messaging it lasts around 1.5 days Charger is not as good as previous ones USB c end now and the magnetic bit seems a bit small and not well matched to shape. Connects to phone and apps easily and very simple to use.

I didn't use health features much. the screen was too small and sometimes couldn't see texts on it. Overal for me this watch is still good as expected. Despite that I suggest samsung develop some watch faces that are combination of sporty and informative styles. Samsung may consider to design another version for information, mobile features with only some essential health sensors such as health rate. because I believe it will fit many young people's needs.

Plenty of battery life to get me through the whole day and night with more juice to spare. I love the watch faces, notifications are spot on, replies through the watch go through without a hitch and all the features/apps are working as promised. Exactly what I expect in a smart watch. Thank you for the additional color options in both the band and watch itself. It would have been nice to see more color option for the leather hybrid bands since the sport band can get a little sweaty just from normal wear. It's a joy to wear and I actually look forward to putting it on every day. Thank you Samsung!

The coolest function for me is the reminder to move as I have an office job which I often just sit around for very long hour. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been looking for a new smart watch after becoming a bit disappointed the inaccurate HR readings of my previous one. This watch is impressive. It works very well with my phone and I like that you can get more information by sending things to your phone to open on the app. I have set the heart rate to read continously as that is very important for me. The HR does seems accurate when resting, however when using at the gym you need to make sure that it is positioned correctly otherwise it can be very innacurate. I was very disappointed to see the HR being more than 40bpm out against the gym equipment reading, however once I moved it further up my wrist it was lining up exactly, The biggest disappointment of the watch is the battery life. I'm finding I have to charge it every night otherwise it would die midway through the next day. A normal day plus a gym session left about 20% battery on the watch . Also I am finding it takes multiple attempts to connect the charger. As it is magnetic I did think this would be less of a hassle. The strap has a very nice feel and I love how the end tucks inside the watch - no piece hanging around and getting caught on things. The watch looks great and I love how customisable the face is. Overall I do like the watch a lot. My favourite feature is actually the breathe one. I have it on the face and it does remind me to take a second to just breathe every so often. The battery life is disappointing but I can get over it!

Overview: Great design and comfortable strap. Nice new features. Great for health and fitness monitoring. My old watch would miss the heart rate monitoring for most of my workout, whereas this hardly ever drops out and if it does I just tighten the band. I've managed to get 2 days use out of the watch even with all the health monitoring and exercising but I like to have a short charge before bed each night anyway. Pros: Good health features Good workout tracking - improved heart rate measuring Comfy wrist band (improved from original design) Good size watch face Good customisation of watch faces Good customisation of tiles Good customisation of notifications and status share (for instance I enjoy sleep mode starting automatically but like do not disturb off on my watch even if it's on, on my phone) Increase in battery life Still working through the sleep coaching but it's an interesting feature not seen on older models. Cons: The charger is only compatible with the Samsung plug I've misplaced so I had to use my old usb compatible charger. I've not had any issues using the old charger though and it charges pretty quickly. Blood pressure monitoring can only done if you already have a blood pressure monitor so kind of defeats the point unless you calibrate at your doctors office. The body composition varies a lot and doesn't seem suitable for those with a larger muscle mass.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an older model Samsung watch that I was less than impressed it but wanted to give the brand another chance as it's a fantastic brand. I'm so glad I did as I love this watch. There are some new health features including ecg, and blood oxygen level monitoring has come back. Unfortunately, I don't think the ecg is reliable. It's regularly an inconclusive result, and apparently my wife has afib. Upon further reading it seems like quite a few healthy people have had this result, saw their doctor and had a normal sinus rhythm. So I wouldn't trust the result off this watch unfortunately. The heart rate monitor seems to be slow side, I tested this against a simultaneous manual check which was different by 26bpm. The sleep monitor seems okay, but so far my snoring data hasn't recorded, and it records me as asleep when I've been wide awake, but laying still. So all in all I think the health monitoring could do with some tweaks. The watch itself has a sleek look, and a nice strap. Very easy to wear during the day and during sleep. I like that the excess strap tucks back inside so you don't have an awkward flap hanging out. The watch only came with a size small strap, I'm not sure why this decision was made. I don't have a very big wrist, but I like to wear my watch loose with a long tail for tucking in, which makes the strap a bit snug for my liking. My previous model had a bezel, which has been removed and replaced with touch screen only. Although this improves the overall look of the watch, personally I find bezel to be more accurate but I am getting used to the touch screen. I imagine this might be a bit more difficult for larger fingers. I really like that the watch faces have customisable "complications" so I can keep track of the data I'm interested in. There are quite a few apps pre-installed that I've yet to try, but I find the watch does everything I need it to. The battery life is considerably better than my previous model. It uses roughly 15% over an 8 hour sleep. More during the day due to notifications and general use. It charges really quickly, so I've never had to go without. The new style of charger works well. The magnet is subtle, strong and isn't easily dislodged. A definite improvement. Overall I'm really happy with the watch, I just think a few features may need a bit more tweaking. I would happily recommend to friends and family. My wife purchased one a few days after seeing mine.

I bought this watch about 5 months ago, but had to buy a Samson phone to have it work properly. I like that it keeps track of my sleep cycles and time I am actually asleep. I hate that the directions that come with it sketchy. I would like to know if it is actually water proof? It has a swimmer on one of the displays, but am afraid to try it in my water aerobic class. I have tried to find out the answer to this question through the website, but it too is very poor in answering specific questions.

This is my third smartwatch after using Fitbit and Garmin, I have a Samsung phone, earbuds and tablet, so I thought I would try the new Watch 5. So far most of the features are good, very easy to use and intuitive especially synced with your phone. I am enjoying the watch faces and option to change straps, too. My main disappointment, and I do not know whether this is a fault with the watch, is the calorie count. My daily total calories burned compared to other devices is around 500 cals lower, and as you not able to change the Heart Rate zones, my workout calories are also around 100-150 calories off what I would usually do. It would be great if Samsung could find a way to change the automatic HR zones so this is more accurate. Otherwise it is a great deal of money for basically a step counter.

I've been using it for workouts at the gym and for running and it has been great to capture what I have done. I do have a couple of issues with it though the main one being that it is quite uncomfortable as I have a small wrist and always use the smallest or second smallest settings. The watch face itself is quite big and is uncomfortable on the wrist so I find myself only wearing it for workouts and not during the day. The sleep analysis function is also good and quite interesting however again, it's not the most comfortable thing to wear especially when trying to get to sleep. Despite these negatives though I would still recommend it to a friend especially if they were interested in using it for health and fitness purposes.

The pink is a lovely colour and I love the other colour straps you can change it to. I've been putting off buying a smartwatch for years and this year I finally took the plunge. Not disappointed! At first the battery life wasn't great but after some sensible tweaks, like turning off wifi and NFC, it now gives a credible performance. I know giving 5 stars seams over the top as I've never had one before but seriously, it ticks every box that I require and works great with my favourite Apps, Strava, Komoot and Hole19. It's pretty good looking too 👍

I love the watch so far. I bought the Watch 5 to replace my Galaxy Classic. What really bugs me is that Samsung did not provide the charging adapter! Seriously? I can't use my adapter from my Classic, so I had to purchase the adapter after I got the watch. If I'm on vacation, I don't want to have to bring my laptop just to charge my watch. Samsung you really cheeped out on this. I sincerely hope you include the charging adapter with future watch releases!

It does not record stairs at all- I live in a three story house and it never registers more than 3 lights/ day. It registers heart rate very low ccompared to Fitbit or a heart monitor. Battery power is terrible- 24 hours max. Good looking, but lacking functions and accuracy. The O2 monitor is dangerous- if I really has a SpO2 of 78% I would need hospital care!

After purchasing multiple Samsung products over the years it is shocking how bad the quality has become. The battery life barely lasts half a day, a lot of the apps are glitchy and the watch constantly loses connection with the phone while being within 2m radius, the health readings are useless as they never show consistant results. Save you money and find a better alternative, personally this is my last purchase with samsung.

Pros: - Nice size and weight - Nice bright and clear display - Packed with features - Samsung Pay is very convenient and useful! - Charges quickly - just over an hour - Great for receiving/replying to messages - Good security features e.g Pin required after removing and putting watch back on - Sleep tracking is mostly ok, a few times it missed some timings but overall it has been acceptable Cons: - Experienced some menu lag at times - Connection with phone gets lost if you are more than say 10 metres away which is a shame - Battery life not the best due to all the features but it may be possible to optimise if you turn some settings off for things you dont need - Back of watch has a raised area which can be felt on your wrist after some time

Best new feature on 5 is battery life. Lasts much longer and new fast charger charges in 2 hours max. My Galaxy 5 watch died after only owning it for 2 months. It is supposed to be under warranty for a year. Sent it in only to be told the tech found liquid damage (on a water resistant watch with a feature to wear when swimming to track your workout) even though my watch has never been in water. They are charging me to fix it saying the liquid damage voids the warranty. After doing some internet searches, I found this is very common with Samsung wearables. Many people were told the same thing and that their warranty was void due to liquid damage. Very disappointing since my previous Galaxy watch is still going strong after 4 years and had been worn swimming all the time. I just wanted an upgrade and to get away from the rotating bezel. I've owned Samsung phones, watches, earbuds and electronics for years. All my appliances in my home are even Samsung and this is how loyal customers are treated. I recommend finding another wearable from another manufacturer.

The battery life is a lot better than many of the online reviews might suggest. With all the functions that I need switched on I easily get more than 40 hours use on a full charge. The watch is comfortable to wear and seems to be pretty accurate in tracking my steps and heart rate.

This watch is beautiful. It's screen is not so big fitting perfect in a woman's wrist. The length of the battery is the main bad point. It lasts only 24hs and you've to buy an adaptor to put it on the wall sockets, otherwise, you'll have to charge it from your other samsung device

Was able to get my Watch 5 Pro 10 days ahead of release and so, so pleased with it. As a 2018 Galaxy Watch owner, I was a little ambivalent about the Wear OS switch and battery life, but made the switch due to an ongoing heart condition and wanting to better monitor what it's up to. Just love the watch. After being wired up multiple times on ECG's and the heart behaving; I really wanted to catch the episode causing the grief and now I have. Simple, to setup, connect and configure, it is simply a delight to use. Is the battery life as good as my original Tizen galaxy watch ? No. But I still get 3 days with my usage between charges and that's with multiple ECG and blood pressure tests, so pretty happy. Don't understand the move away from the rotating bezel and consider that a complete design miss given that was the signature feature over others. The capacitive replacement works, bit it is nowhere near as functional, pleasing to use or accurate, but that's perhaps subjective to user. Love the watch at any rate

Received this yesterday. Set it up. Battery didn't last 24hrs. Ran out at work. So no watch. Also before the battery died. The steps are 1300 different to my fit bit. So it's not registering steps. Paid a lot of money for this. Really not happy with it so far.

Really nice watch. I upgraded with watch5 from active watch 2 and I can see big differences. The only thing I dont like is that the strap it s stiff and doesnt fit my hand the way active2 did. Seems to be a little bit bigger than active 2 even both are 40mm.
