Keep it found. With an enhanced battery life up to 500 days, IP67 dust and water resistance rating, Compass View and Search Nearby features for intuitive finding, the Galaxy SmartTag2 keeps your valuables located and helps control various IoT devices with a simple click.

IoT devices need to be registered within the SmartThings app for features to properly function. SmartTag2 must be connected to the user’s mobile device. Devices compatible with the SmartThings app can be checked on the SmartThings website at www.samsung.com/smartthings
Battery life, which is based on results from internal lab tests conducted by Samsung for typical usage pattern scenarios, is a simulated value of the total battery consumption measured by analyzing normal usage patterns and the current required for each function with the duration of time of each function. Tested with results from a pre-release version of the device using inbox CR2032 battery. Actual battery life may vary depending on different usage patterns, device model, or the battery manufacturer.
Galaxy SmartTag2 is rated as IP67. Based on lab test conditions for submersion in up to 1 meter of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. Not advised for beach, pool use or soapy water. Water and dust resistance of device is not permanent and may diminish over time.

Easy to use, simple to find

Think of it intuitively. The redesigned Galaxy SmartTag2 is convenient to tag and carry, durable with IP67 dust and water-resistance rating, gives you remote access to your IoT devices, and alive for up to 500 days or even up to 40% more on Power Saving Mode.

Not lost. Nearby

Something misplaced? Switch on Search nearby and get intuitive instructions via Compass View. If you still can't see it, have your SmartTag2 call out to you via Ring Your Tag.

For Galaxy SmartTag2, Samsung account log-in and registration on SmartThings Find is required. Compass View feature requires ultra-wideband(UWB)-enabled Galaxy smartphones with Android 11 or higher. Availability of the Compass View feature may vary by OS version, connected device, or country.
Accuracy may be reduced if there's an obstacle between you and the tag, such as when the tag is inside a drawer, behind a wall, or in a car.

Find it in Lost Mode

Give it a way back to you. When Lost Mode is activated, the Galaxy SmartTag2's NFC (Near Field Communication) displays your registered contact information and message on the finder's smartphone, regardless of the OS.

Contact information and message must be registered beforehand on the SmartThings app to have it shown on the finder's device on Lost Mode. The finder's device must support NFC reading and be connected to the internet to display the pre-registered contact information upon tagging.

Been using since Tag 1 and now Tag 2, no more lost house keys and car keys. Have more than 10 tags in total. With the extra loop at the end of Tag 2, I can hook my keys to it. Looking forward to a slim version. Not sure why so many -ve reviews? This product is a life saver and I do hope Samsung continues to develop on this, despite all these negative reviews that doesn't seem to make sense. Just tested a few tags again just to make sure and they work. Only complaint is the find my tag sometimes receives strange "ghost signals" which detects a tag that isn't there. Not often but it does.

I have the tag for some time but the location tracking is so inaccurate. I can literally have the tag next to me, refresh the location and it states the tag is in a completely different address from where I am. Defeats the object of what this is supposed to do

I’ve owned the SmartTag2 for about 6 months. It worked fine initially, but it has now developed a known hardware defect where it drains a brand-new battery in less than 24 hours. I have replaced the battery three times with high-quality cells, and the tag kills them within hours every single time. Even after a factory reset, the device remains in a high-power state. ​Samsung advertises 500+ days of battery life, but mine now lasts less than 1 day. This is a documented issue in the community forums. If yours starts dying fast, don't waste money on more batteries. The unit is internally defective. Very disappointed in the build quality for a premium tracker.

Skipped the first iteration of the SmartTag and jumped straight into this version. Very premium with the metal ring and a slightly weighty feel to it. Only minor downside is the limited capabilities of the programmable button right now. Hopefully Samsung will consider expanding it to control the phones as well, instead of just other SmartThings devices.

Does not track from even 1m away. Tested out both of the tags I bought, putting them in my car 6 metres outside front of my house, did not work until I moved a second samsung phone directly into the car and it finally detected the . Repeated this test and this time it was still saying the tags were in the house not the car, even when the tracking phone and the other phone were BOTH in the car. These are useless...do not buy. I am sceptical of the 5 star reviews, either there are major QC issues or they are fake. Happy with all other samsung products I've bought, so this is disappointing to be sold 2 useless little bricks

I cant use the compass and ar view in my phone because its my s25 doesnt support UWB which should be advertised and this is unacceptable as a flagship phone so I just wasted my money on a reguler smart tag with better battery

Useless. Bought it to track my bike while travelling and the first trip I took, it already lost location before I got to the airport (last known location), even while I was with the bike while checking in at the airport. Needless to say I've lost my bike and I've had no updates since I departed my original port.

Only had them for a few days. Concerned that someone stealing my car with SmartTag2 onboard will be able to pick up that they're being tracked, and then make it beep so they can locate it. Needs answers from Samsung (not publicly, but only available in paper instructions, and not online) if this is an issue, or how they stop it being an issue? If it has time delay before notifying thief, giving time to tag as lost, to avoid notifying thief? Who knows? Love the functionality. Need yet to test its reliability. Will do this week. Does every Samsung phone that gets close to it, collect location data from it, or only those with smart things loaded and option to "help" people track/locate turned on? Really needs more robust outer holder for robust dog collar. Don't want it to be a chew toy for another dog. Also active swimming/rough and tumble dogs might be a bit hard on it as it is. As they are with anything.

Works well for me for the past year or so. I have them in each of my kids cars, but they need to be in an external position such as inside the tail light etc or the metal door blocks them. Tracked my luggage well internationally. Kids driving around Hamilton, Auckland, Rotorua. They require nearby samsung phones to track, a major drawback.

Bought this few weeks ago and it's very useful for me on tracking my keys and wallet. The design is slim and handy, has matte feeling texture and a legit water-resistant tag! This is a must-have Samsung users who ocassionally being foregtful for their small but very important things.

Do not buy this tag. I bought it thinking it's better than my old one. I was so wrong. The battery lasted only about 2 months from new. Now after replacing battery, I can't enable double click to find my phone. So many bugs. Samsung support is no help at all.
