Is Samsung Galaxy Note9 compatible with Gear VR?

If you want to connect the Galaxy Note9 to Gear VR (SM-R325), you will need to replace the existing device holder with a new device holder (Code : GH81-16186A) before connecting the devices.
To replace the device holder on Gear VR, follow these steps:

Slide the lock switch to the unlock position and remove the device holder from the Gear VR

Select new device holder. While the lock switch is in the unlock position, slide the device holder into the holder slot. Then, lock the holder by sliding the lock switch to the lock position

Please note: The new device holder (Code : GH81-16186A) is now available for redeem in our Samsung Service Centres (VivoCity, Westgate and Plaza Singapura) at no cost. Kindly bring along your proof of purchase for both Galaxy Note9 and Gear VR during redemption. While stocks last.
