[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been purchasing Samsung storage devices for a long time now, I have never come across one yet that has disappointed me, leaving any type of negative image for the manufacturer. This Drive in particular is solid in its weight, which is totally fine to me, cause at least I know it is made well and can take a beating. I have personally dropped my drive in water, and put it through the ringer multiple times, and it still has yet to fail me. I am tech-savvy, so I know that the advertised speeds will only run in the best scenarios with compatible devices or hardware. If you want a trustworthy drive, look no further. I use this for school and have another one I use to load operating systems on computers that are in constant use. All I can say is, in my experience, Samsung storage devices have yet to fail me.

I know as I set-up my own home-thumbdrive(usb)speed test against 2 (other) well known media makers and I did so downloading a test-set # of files from my desktop (Windows 11) and then uploading the same test-set # of files back to windows file exployer. Using my recently received New Galaxy S25 Ultra 512Gb Unlocked from Samsung.com greatest online trade-in offer ever, using the stopwatch function from the Clock app my Samsung 128-Gb Flash or Thumb Drive.purchased online recently won out significantly in the download and upload tests against it's 2 toughest competitors. I couldn't have made a better purchase--apples to apples it was sale-priced and beat the same 2 competitors in the price tag test I performed in the store! Incidentally, I didn't cover this earlier but the other 2 competitors flash drives are also 128Gb in capacity and less than a month old--gifts from colleagues at my official retirement party at Atlas.

This is such a small but powerful drive and it amazed me. It transfers data at high speeds no matter what you are storing on the drive. Be it music, photos or documents you will be more than happy with the speed of this drive. It can hold thousands of pictures and loads of music. The only thing I wish is that it had a light on it so you can see when it's working but that's a small feature. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a large capacity, fast flash drive.

I've been shopping around for new thumb sticks for a few months. All of mine are old, slow, and low capacity. Enter: THIS! First off, let me say that this memory stick is small. However, the build quality is fantastic. The exterior is metal which I wasn't expecting. Secondly, let me say that the speeds are soooooo much faster than the memory stick I've got. It performs 10x (sometimes more) than what I have. The third and final thing that makes me happy about my purchase is the warranty. I can't speak for others but knowing I've got a 5 year warranty completely solidified this deal. I am a very happy customer.

It's got a hole for a keyring, so it's easy to carry around and harder to lose. The ingenious curved design makes it comfortable to hold and manipulate with three fingers. This is so much better than the plastic junk drives I've carried before.

It can withstand all my every day hazards that can be thrown its way. This includes everything from the dust and lint from my pocket to an unexpected water event such as rain. The exterior paint finish can even resist the scratches from being on my key ring. The storage space and transfer performance are everything you can expect from a 3.0 usb flash drive. I am used to the cheap plastic feel of other brands but the Samsung Bar Plus is solid and doesnt feel like it will break or fall apart if dropped. I like that it is also waterproof and I found out that it really is after my drink fell over on my pants. It is fast and I actually had to create a USB restore drive and I was expecting that it would take awhile but it was ready to go in under 10 minutes. Great price for what you get.

I can use it for so many different things like saving my work files, to personal pictures and videos. I always have it on the go for everything I need since I'm always doing new projects and work. I can keep everything organized and easily transfer files from one computer to another. I used to buy 6GB flash drives and I'd always get so frustrated because they never lasted long or I constantly had to override them and save files elsewhere. It was annoying trying to figure out what other 6GB flash drive had the files I needed. This flashdrive is a lifesaver.

Well now I've cleared it out and only this one sits in there. It is very fast, im hitting about 200-250MB/s constantly. Its very small and does not have a light on it, so it may be easy to lose for some, so just be mindful of that. Other than that, i am entirely happy and love my new USB stick!

The 128gb capacity was adequate for my needs. The design is nice and the metallic shell makes it feel durable. The eyelet for a key chain is nice. The read and write speeds are fine, but not great. The drive can also get hot to the touch under some prolonged use. I've had my drive for 2 years and it is still working for my use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] And it is wonderful. This is well worth the price! It transfers files so fast... no waiting for it to transfer files over. The transfer speeds are listed as 300MB/s, but I suspect it was actually much faster. I did try transferring some files and I blinked and it was done! I wish everything transferred as fast. The casing is lovely and has a hefty, solid feel to it. The casing has a hole on the opposite end from the USB which would work not only as a key ring, as the specs say but may be stuck on a ball chain as a necklace. I like that it is waterproof and temperature proof, no more worries if you accidentally leave it in the car. Shockproof is also another nice feature, no worries about it breaking when it slips out of your hands. And 128 gigabytes of space is lots of room for videos, photos, files or programs. I would definitely recommend this flash drive.

Kupiłem 2 pendrajwy firmy samsung, myślałem że jak kupie nowe i porządne to nie będę miał żadnych problemów niestety okazało się że ten nie obsługuje formatowania ex32 przez co nie da się używać go np w starym radiu samochodowym. Prędkość na usb 2.0 to u mnie około 20mb przy pliku 10gb. Nie mam najnowszego więc nie będę oceniał. Natomiast pendrive mniejszy "Samsung FIT Plus 2020" okazał się lepszy bo funkcje fat 32 posiada.

I do wished there was a light showing when it’s working but overall it’s very attractive and works well. I’ve done some testing for shockproof, waterproof, magnet and temperature proof. No damage to the exterior and continued to work reliably. Overall, I’m pleased with the quality and durability. I would definitely recommend this drive.

Its what my roommate would say, "Hefty" like its heavily good. Yes its got some weight to it but it should since its made of metal. It lets you know that it can handle hard drops hence the shockproof. Its also a plus knowing that it is waterproof although i don't recommend it but I have my days where i accidentally put it through the washer. As a wanna be IT guru I recommend this flash drive. With speeds up to 200mb meaning it transfers and reads files really fast. How fast? 3GB 4K UHD video file from your Bar Plus to your PC in just 10 seconds, that fast. What i also like about this flash drive is it's simple, sleek design. It feels and looks luxury but you pay a reasonable price for its functionality and everything else is a huge bonus. Honestly, why you still reading this buy this flash drive and you want regret in getting it.

The ice-maker in my fridge, the clothes washing machine and 2 of these little guys. Used them both for less than 2 months (random stuff at half or less capacity). Then I used both to back up my WEDDING photos and HONEYMOON/TRIP TO EUROPE. Fast forward 8 months and neither will even read from any device even the one that put the data on it. Devastating to lose all of those memories. My wife still won't forgive me and refuses to use Samsung anything because of this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple years ago and the flexibility of being able to use USB a or USB c makes for the perfect companion when transferring files from my phone to the computer or from my phone to a friend's phone. Nowadays a lot of flagship phones don't have the micro SD card slot and as sad as that may be the ability to still use expandable storage externally makes up for it. From taking photos and videos in the summer and transferring them out of my phone to save space to being able to upload those photos and videos quickly onto my computer this has never let me down. I've even recommended others to get this since it's no regular USB storage device. It's a leap in tech that we didn't know we wanted until it arrived!

I ALWAYS keep my usb drive with me that has to contain EVERYTHING important in my computer, in case something happens to the house while I'm gone. This meant I needed something that could handle the elements, because I also ride my Harley in thunderstorms if the weather is warm enough. When I found Samsung's usb flash drives and read how they are waterproof and so much more, I bought one that instant. I * STILL* have the very first one I bought about a decade ago. I now have 6 of the drives...3 of the bar drives, and three of the short drives. I keep these in a plastic baggie in my pocket wherever I go. My house could burn down and other than the loss of equipment my meager disability check could get me over the years, I would be able to get on any computer I wanted and have all my information right there. I even have one of the short drives contains a live version of Slackware Linux that I use. These drives are worth every penny! At this moment, there's literally no other flash drive, from any other company, I would use. These drives have held up through all weather, all kinds of situations (like being in my pocket crawling in the mud under the house when a water pipe burst the other night. MUDDY is all I was when I got done), etc, and works like new always.

I use it when I am mixing to save my files quickly. I use it when I need to transport large music files fast and this drive is doing a great job with that. I am often very hard on my drives as they go in my backpack or my pocket, on my lanyard or one of the many of situations I put it through. It has done very well with all and any circumstances of use. I was looking for a flash drive compatible with my smart TV so I can pause live antenna TV. The problem is, the TV operates on USB 2.0. This Samsung flash drive is backwards compatible to 2.0, and I was hoping it would do the job. It's a Roku 50" 4K UHD TV, that requires a USB 2.0 16GB 15mbps read/write speed. This flash drive I like, it seems to be good quality, but it's just not quite fast enough on 2.0. It works but the video gets out of sync with the audio. I have to keep switching the TV to another channel and back to get it back in sync.

Also don't have to worry about it falling of my keychain because the loophole is built in and the body of this usb drive is one solid piece. Only thing is that it seems to get scratched easily, besides that it seems very durable and sleek. It's great for transferring data when I'm away from home and didn't carry anything to transfer data with. Just whip out my keychain and plug in and go. Great product overall.

I am an engineer working on civil engineering and it requires reliable data device which should be sturdy and compatible for various situations like extreme weather conditions, multiple OS ,and differences types of devices. Die äußere Verarbeitung sowie Farbgebung und Materialwahl dieses metallenen USB-Sticks ist wirklich gelungen. Dieser fühlt sich sehr hochwertig an. Die Funktionsweise weiß zu überzeugen - in unserem Fall wird der Stick als Host für ein Unraid-System verwendet. Hier kommt es auf eine hohe Qualität des Speichermediums an. Der Speicher ist wie angepriesen, die Leserate kommt ganz knapp nicht an 300MB/s ran. In unserem Test waren es knapp 292 MB/s - wir haben nun aber auch kein Profisystem dafür aufgebaut. Wenn die "innere" Qualität des Sticks genauso ist wie die äußere, gibt es keinen Grund zur Beanstandung - vor allem für den Preis, welchen Samsung selbst dafür verlangt. In unseren Augen - ein guter Job, ein gutes Produkt. Wir haben noch einen 2. Stick als Backup, hoffentlich wird er lange nicht gebraucht :)

I purchased over 80 different sets of flash media for testing to determine the best/falsest/most cost effective for use in a very large deployment of new systems. the Samsung Bar Plus line tested the best accross the board. i would recommend that strong consideration be given to the 128Gb version. the increased transfer speeds are well worth the few additional dollars. That being said, the 64Gb drives performed flawlessly and held up for the deployment.

Wife gee honey I could use a nother one for my craftsman one for recipes. Mothe in law, I have eliminated all of those boxes of tax returns sence chad( father in law sence passed) on it and now I can start on the ones I have left from there to my college jobs. So thank you for making such a great product.but that 100 .00 would help with the 4 more they ordered an one for my self if I have enough money

A bunch of thermal extremes too. I'm so very impressed by this little drive. I had a SanDisk before this, and it was fine enough, but at some point after a year and a half (right after the warranty went out) it began intermittently working. So I got the Samsung, and haven't looked back. 10/10

The metal body is sleek and seems well built. The form looks great and doesn't get in the way of other drives. One issue is the write and read speeds are very slow. I've run many tests and I'm getting 25 mbs. The same as my USB 2 devices. It's a good price for a large amount of memory. Just don't trust their reported speeds. "Up to 300MB/s Data Transfer Speed" doesn't mean anything about normal write speeds.

I store a variety of documents, photos, and videos on it and it’s speedy enough to get it done quickly. In addition, for anyone accidentally/intentionally deleting files but would like to recover them… the additional speed benefit is helpful when using Recuva. It’s also quite a tough material so don’t worry about shoving it in your pocket.

I've had a 32gb flash drive that I've been carrying on my belt for the last 6-7 years and this thing has survived just about everything. welding shops and grinding metal, carpentry shops and sawdust, just getting slammed around as I bump into everything and this flash drive has only now stopped working. I never expected it to last as long as it did and now have a 128gb to replace it and go another 6-7 years.

All my music files transferred in less than 10 minutes with only a few not making the cut. (Those that didn't transferred were files I was being lazy to delete on my previous drive.) It works with all club standard equipment and is just pure efficiency!!!! Definitely recommended for anyone in the DJ scene!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a USB 3.1 flash drive from Samsung. The first thing I noticed when looking at the package was, wow this is tiny. The Flash drive is one of the smallest drives I've seen that contains 128GB. Just think about 128GB of data that can fit almost everywhere and able to access that data at just about SSD speeds. You can technically use this drive as a computer hard drive and boot from it, even install an operating system. The second thing I noticed when I received the package is the styling. It looks very premium, modern and solid. When transferring a large data file I noticed it copied over like this was an internal hard drive. Not all computers have USB 3.1 but it will work with 3.0 and 2.0 drives as well just not as fast. Overall I hope these flash drives get smaller, faster, larger, cheaper eventually you will be able to back up your entire existence into your pocket.

This Bar plus is the best usb i have come across. Its super fast, leaving all the other usb drives behind, its resistant to everything: I carry this on my keychain for many years now.. Never had an issue, it has been dropped countless times, been wet, been left in the heat and just lived its life beside pointy metal keys., But still works 100% all of the time! Just dont bother with anything else!

The drive has failed after one month of very occasional use. I purchased the drive via RS Components at the end of July 2021. The drive can no longer be detected by the pc. The drive is also too tight fitting in the USB ports. I’m sending the unit back to RS Components and will not be looking for a replacement, I cannot trust the device. I have been using these as backup storage devices for small files. I was happy with them but 2 have now failed and I cannot access the stored data. Errors are Device Descriptor Request Failed and Set Address Failed, I have tried to navigate the samsung warranty pages but these devices do not show up in the drop down listing under the registration pages.

But I chock this up to the no DRAM and the fact there was just so many pictures. This doesn't happen with NVME but it is not really fair to compare those protocols. I reallyyyy wanna upgrade to a few 990 nvme drives in my pc though 😂

THEY ALL SURVIVED! Along with being incredibly durable, file transfers nice and speedy. I do a lot of old-school file sharing for my job and these have not let me down once.

this product worked great for a couple years, then one day the transfer rate got horrible, and the next time i plugged it in, it caused my computer to lock up due to endlessly trying to load the drive. the drive also began getting very hot when plugged in; good thing i had the files backed up elsewhere!

it stopped workiing after 7 months. had slow writing speeds of less than 40 mb/s in a windows laptop where its reading speeds only reached a max of about 200 mb/s. heated up by 10°c of room temperature within the first 15-20 minutes of being plugged in to a usb 3.0 port. what a waste of money.

Często są problemy z rozpoznaniem pendrive'a przez systemy, a gdy jest podłączony podczas włączania laptopa, bardzo dużo czasu zabiera nim pokaże sie logo BIOSu, niekiedy z 2-3 razy trzeba go odłączyć i podpiąć by system prawidłowo go wykrył. Błędy enumeracji i przydzielenia adresów.
