What is Infinity Flex Display?

Infinity Flex Displays use an advanced polymer that is both flexible and tough enough allowing it to fold and unfold up to thousands of times*. The displays are made using layers of highly-engineered materials topped with award winning Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus™, an incredibly hard wearing, flexible and durable glass. At the centre of each folding Galaxy phone is a bespoke spine that allows you to smoothly open and close it to reveal the impressive full sized Infinity Flex Display. The Galaxy Fold, released in 2019 was Samsung’s first smartphone to feature the state-of-the-art Infinity Flex Display. The Galaxy Fold has two separate displays - the 4.6-inch Super AMOLED cover screen and massive 7.3-inch internal Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display, allowing the device to function as both a smartphone and tablet. The first generation Galaxy Fold consists of bonded, tissue-thin layers of innovative materials that are topped with a polyimide film making it almost 50% thinner than any previous Galaxy displays.
