Note: Use only Samsung-approved charging devices and accessories. Samsung accessories are designed for your device to maximize battery life. Using other accessories may void your warranty and may cause damage.

By making a couple of adjustments, you can conserve battery power on your earbuds. That way, they'll last when you really need them. Here are some tips you can follow:

  • When you are not using the earbuds, keep them in the charged charging case with the cover closed.

  • Adjust the notification settings from the Galaxy Wearable app on the connected phone. When using iOS, adjust the notification settings in the Galaxy Buds app.
earbuds,

Take care of your earbuds by keeping these charging tips and precautions in mind.

  • Only use the charging case that came with your earbuds. It's specifically designed for them and ensures optimal charging. Using a different case could cause issues.

  • Clean charging terminals: If you notice any liquid, like sweat, on the charging terminals, clean them before charging to prevent corrosion.

  • Charging speed with different power sources: Charging from a computer, rather than a wall charger, might be slower due to a lower electric current.

  • Normal heating during charging: It's normal for your earbuds and case to get warm while charging. This won't affect their lifespan or performance. If they get unusually hot, the charger will automatically stop charging.

  • Turning on after full discharge: If your earbuds and charging case are completely drained, it might take a little while for them to power on once you start charging.

  • Charger care: Avoid bending the charger to prevent damage and extend its lifespan. Never use a damaged charger.

  • Troubleshooting indicator lights: If your earbud battery indicator light is black or flashing red, take the earbuds out and make sure the earbud tips and wingtips are attached correctly. You might also need to clean the earbuds, especially the charging contacts, before putting them back in.

  • Indicator light issues: If the indicator light isn't working as expected, try disconnecting and reconnecting the charger. Also, check your USB cable, wall adapter, and charging case for any damage. You might need to try a different USB cable and wall adapter.

After a long workout or music session, your earbuds are going to need a charge. Remember, the charging case also has its own charge. Luckily, you can charge both your earbuds and case at the same time.

  • Open the earbud charging case.

  • Place the buds into their corresponding slots in the case.

  • Close the lid.

  • You can charge both earbuds at the same time, or just one. Keep in mind that battery life will differ if they're charged separately.

  • Connect the charging cable to the USB charging port on the back of the charging case.

  • Plug the other end of the charging cable into a power source (like a wall outlet or computer).

  • If the battery is completely drained, the case or buds need at least 20 to 30 minutes to turn on.

  • Check the earbuds' charging status in a couple of ways:

    • Android devices: The Galaxy Wearable app displays the buds' current battery percentage (and for newer models, the charging case's battery life).

    • iPhone: Check the status with the Buds app on an iPhone 7 or later with iOS 10 or higher.

    • Indicator lights: Look at the buds' and the case's indicator lights for their status.
