You can control your Family Hub™ refrigerator effortlessly with just your voice using Samsung Bixby’s enhanced natural language understanding*. You can also share photos, videos and messages with other family members or listen to your favourite music through the Family Hub™ screen. And when you use the Daily Board you can quickly access useful information, like Samsung News, your calendar and memos.

Auto Open Door
Open the fridge effortlessly! The fridge’s Auto Open Doors have touch sensors. When you lightly touch the sensor with the palm or the back of your hand the doors automatically open. It enables convenient access to your food even when your hands are full. And, with no handles sticking out, it has a stylishly seamless appearance.
Control the fridge with your voice
On-device Bixby
Control the refrigerator easily with just your voice. Built-in voice recognition capabilities allow you to speak commands and ask for information using Samsung Bixby*. So, even if your hands are full, you can control the settings and select functions. You can also use it to get recipe ideas and status updates on your other appliances or ask it to show instructional videos on the screen, like how to change the water filter.
* A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required. You must use the same log-in account on each of the devices.

Play it cool
All-Around Cooling
Never lose your cool with All-Around Cooling. It does what it says on the tin – moving cool air around the fridge to keep food fresh, with a constant temperature. So everything from chicken to cucumbers will be evenly chilled. Every item stays ideally cooled no matter where it’s stored in the fridge.
Even cooler inside
Metal Cooling
Keep food cool with the metal cooling plate, retaining the cold temperature and restoring any heat loss quickly. With a beautiful reflective metal interior, the fridge looks as good on the inside as it does on the outside.
The power is yours
Power Cool & Power Freeze
Enjoy a rapid cooling performance to chill beverages and food or create ice. At the touch of a button, Power Cool blows intensely cold air into the fridge. So it can quickly cool your groceries when you get back from shopping or chill your favourite drinks. And when you push the Power Freeze button it delivers a fast blast of cold air into the freezer. It’s great for fast freezing or firming up frozen food, like ice cream, and making ice.

AI Energy
Reduce your energy use* with AI Energy mode**. In Maximum mode, AI energy is always on and in Custom mode, if your estimated electricity bill exceeds your pre-set target it operates AI Energy Mode automatically, optimising the compressor speed and defrost cycle, based on your usage pattern and surroundings.
*Test results based comparing the factory setting temperature when using AI Energy mode and without using AI Energy mode. Results may vary based on usage conditions.**Available via SmartThings app on Android and iOS. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required.
Smart household energy efficiency
SmartThings Energy
SmartThings Energy* provides helpful tips on how to be more energy efficient and will notify you if your smart appliances** are accidentally left on. It also lets you easily monitor the energy consumption of devices in real-time, and compare it to the previous month. In addition, you can set monthly targets and receive alerts if they are likely to be exceeded.
* Available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required.** SmartThings Energy currently works with around 40 Samsung home appliances that are SmartThings enabled.
Smarter management and problem solving
SmartThings Home Care
Monitor and take care of your refrigerator easily. SmartThings Home Care*, provides real-time monitoring and alerts. You can check on the refrigerator’s status, including the condition of the water filter and how often the door is opened. It also automatically notifies you if parts need replacing or possible problems are detected, such as spillage from the Autofill Pitcher, and suggests a solution to solve them.

A smarter way to store, use and buy food
SmartThings Cooking
Manage, prepare and buy food more effortlessly and effectively. SmartThings Cooking* lets you create a list of the food stored in your refrigerator and manage expiry dates, so you can easily check what ingredients you have anytime, anywhere. It also recommends dishes and personalised recipes based on your dietary preferences and existing ingredients.

Plumbed Water & Ice
Enjoy cool drinks or ice without the hassle to having to refill a water tank. The refrigerator has a plumbed water & ice dispenser seamlessly integrated into the front, which can be easily connected to your water supply. So, with a simple touch and without having to open the fridge, you can get a glass of chilled water and plenty of ice to cool down your drinks, like juices and smoothies. It means you will be ready for the hottest days or liveliest party!

Wine Shelf™
The specially designed wine shelf keeps your favourite tipple nice and chilled. And the extra wide wine rack means it’s perfect for those slightly larger champagne bottles – so you’re always ready for a toast.
