How do I insert or remove a microSD card in my Galaxy S4?

 

Your device lets you use a microSD or microSDHC card to expand available memory space. This secure digital card enables you to exchange images, music and data among SD-compatible devices.

 

Inserting a microSD card

 

 

 Remove the back cover by inserting a fingernail or pointed object into the slot on the side of your device.
Remove back cover 

 

Lift the cover up and away from the device.
Remove back cover 

 

Push the microSD card into the slot until it clicks into place.


Remove back cover 

 

Replace the back cover, then press along the edge of the back cover until you have a secure seal and it clicks into place.

 

 

REMOVING THE MICROSD CARD

 

You must first unmount the microSD card before removing it.

1. When on the Home screen touch the Menu key Menu key. 

2. Touch Settings Settings Shortcut. 

3. Touch the More tab.

4. Touch Storage Settings Storage Icon. 

5. Touch Unmount SD card. Touch OK to finish unmounting the card.

6. Remove the back cover.

7. Press in on the microSD card to disengage the locking mechanism. You should hear it click. 

8. Grasp the memory card and remove it from the device.
