How do I install a SIM card in my Galaxy S21?

S21 series devices have a completely redesigned SIM tray that allows you to install two physical SIM cards in a much smaller space. S21 devices also support the use of an eSIM if these are supported by your mobile network.

If you have a different device, you can find out more about how to install a SIM or memory card.

Yes! The S21 family supports the use of up to 2 nano-SIM cards and also offers eSIM support.

Dual SIM can be a combination of 2 physical SIM cards or 1 physical SIM card and an eSIM.

Please note: eSIMs are provided by your mobile network provider. Please contact your network for more details about eSIM support

The S21 series features a redesigned SIM tray. Follow the steps bellow to install your physical SIM cards.

1 Using the ejector pin from your box, eject the SIM card tray

Please note: to eject your SIM you need to carefully insert the ejector pin into the small hole in the SIM tray. The SIM tray can be found on the top of your device

2 The SIM tray has two sides. Insert your SIM card into the side marked SIM 1. The SIM card should have the gold contacts facing outside and the cut corner of the SIM should align with the top right of the SIM card tray

Please note: if installing a second physical nano-SIM card, flip over the SIM tray and repeat the above step for SIM 2

3 Re-insert the SIM card tray into your phone
