Galaxy S23 | S23+

Overall the phone is as it should be however there are a few glitches I cannot find fixes for. First being pop up notifications for messages and WhatsApp, they simply will not work (with all relevant settings on). The only "fix" I have found is using motes to create a vibration and then having a "sound" on when I get a notification (which I don't want) and THEN the pop up will work. If I have it on silent on the sound turned down I won't get a pop up. Extremely frustrating. Second issue is my sound switches to vibrate for no reason. Nothing is set it just turns itself from one to the other. Also in my sound setting my notification and ringtone keep turning all the way down by themselves.

I like the phone, it is good for browsing and photos but I still can rarely make and receive calls when indoors at home. There are a few places in the home where I have a very low level signal and can usually receive SMS OTP’s if a stand by a window, however this is far from ideal. I do live in a poor signal area and changed from Vodafone as I believed the reception would be better, but it is not. Having had a replacement phone body and 2 replacement SIMs I don’t know where to go from here. Calls are not piggybacking on the broadband. Technical support has tried, but not solved my problem.

Had the s23 since launch due to upgrading from my s21. Was surprised to see that the standard s23 is smaller in size than the standard s21 and is looking remarkably more like the iPhones (not a good thing in my opinion). Having upgraded to the newest modle of s series every 2 years for the past 6 years, this upgrade has been the least noticably better. I'm struggling to find ways it's better than the s21, but can't. The improved screen resolution is not even greatly noticeable. To be totally honest I feel let down by this phone. My previous s21 was better and have always sworn by the s series. Maybe the s23 plus and ultra are better quality, but as far as the standard version, id have a good think before you switch.

After owning Samsung phones for many years I decided to upgrade my S20fe for the S23. I wish I hadn't. It feels inferior to my S20fe in many ways. Even the front camera has less pixels. I was expecting more from the phone but its very disappointing. Definitely the worst Samsung phone I've bought. Hate it so much I have put my new contract sim card in my existing S20fe and left the brand new S23 in the box it came in. Cannot get on with it. Expected more from a newer model Samsung. Instead it's just a Wasted upgrade. My advice do some research before buying.

Smaller.than to is convenient. Most features similar to A12. Battery life seems shorter than A12, use for few video chats, check news, facebook, email quite a bit during day, reply wherever relevant, listen to Spotify sometimes, rarely phone calls some Internet browsing, no streaming or downloading, take photos sometimes, mostly days out/holidays and check gallery sometimes. Check Google maps sometimes but don't use Satnav to follow roites.. Don't consider this excessive, A12 lasted longer. Have set power saving. Any tips would be useful

I absolutely love this phone! It has great features such as the widgets and clear pictures. It's very fast and the calculator app can convert loads of different measurement units. It has fantastic battery life as well as performance. Overall I'm very happy with my phone. However there is on thing that could be improved...In the gallery, when you edit a picture, it doesn't allow you to adjust the size and font of the pen. On my Android Lenevo tablet, I can edit photos very easily. My tablet provides more functions when editing. It has features such as adjusting contrast, adding shadows and shapes, increasing/decreasing density and many more that this phone is missing. Overall I'm very impressed with this product and I'm enjoying using this phone. :)

Moving from the Samsung S10 with the wrap around screen, I perhaps made a mistake in not going for the S23+. The S23 is the same physical size as the S10 apart from being a bit thicker, but the flat screen feels smaller. The screen is very clear and the camera is great. Having changed the previous S10 principally because of reduced battery life, the instructions to only charge to 85% to maintain battery health are disappointing as the S23 will not last two full days from 85% charge, which was my plan based on claimed battery life.

Having had an S9 for long time which was great it appears that new S23 is going backwards rather than forward. Design is too much like an IPhone which is crazy people tend to go with samsung to get away from iphone. No SD card slot to expand memory unlike the S9 no earphones anymore despite huge increase in price, no socket adapter for charging and won't work with old adapter as is USB C both sides. I always liked to use favourite songs as alarm and phone ringtone now it won't let me. If my charging port on S9 hadn't failed and battery life only Lasting 8 hours I would have kept my S9. On plus side battery on S23 seems to last a while and security features appear slightly better however doesn't want to register one of my fingerprints for some strange reason.

I'd had Samsung phones for quite some time and so, when I wanted a new phone, Samsung was my first choice as I'm very familiar with them and how they operate. I wasn't disappointed. Withing minutes it was like an old friend. There was hardly any learning curve. The cameras are excellent. Sound quality is excellent. There are two drawbacks, however. It's virtually impossible to change the battery and there's no option for additional storage. As battery management can be set to not charge above 85% I'm hoping the battery will last for as long as I keep the phone and I've not yet come close to filling the existing storage. It works well with Android Auto and Waze works very well indeed and I don't have to have the phone in the front windscreen in order for it to work.

Great phone for general use, gaming, occasional heavy tasks, etc. Extremely cheap in this day and age for a 2 year old flagship phone with decent specifications. I've had this phone for more than a month now after being gifted it on my birthday a month ago. I've switched from iPhone 11 so this is a huge upgrade for me. The only problem I've had with this phone is extreme overheating when gaming or operating heavy tasks, which can be a nuisance, but it cools down after a few minutes of the initial overheating.

As a hearing aid user I am impressed with the music streaming facility (Bluetooth LE Audio) and the alerts which sound on the devices for incoming email or Whatsapp messages. I am also able to stream phone calls through the hearing aids which is convenient and clearer. My main PC has a wireless charging function which I am now able to use to charge the phone (less wear and tear on the phone connector). I am looking forward to trying the Auracast facility which should help when broadcast in noisy public spaces.

It's a great phone with great mobilespecs. The cameras are much better. Two additional years of technology development have not been in vain. Photos look much sharper and are generally taken much faster, especially in HDR mode. Colour balance is much better, and the ability to get an adobe-formatted raw file right out of the box is a nice bonus. Of course, it can't compete with cameras with full-size sensors, but considering its size (even the camera protrusions are not particularly large), I'm satisfied.

First, I do have a case on it, but I gotta say I love the feel of the device without it. The snapdragon gen 2 is just crushing everything I throw at it. The screen is beautiful. Cameras are excellent. Connectivity rapid. Wireless charging really quick. Works like a dream with my watch5. Legit.... they nailed this. The + and the Ultra are obviously great too, but the prices are so high on these devices. The base model is far more value for money with little to no compromises on hardware. Love this device

Love the S23, best phone I have had for a while. The 6.1 size is perfect for me and it would be great to have more of a choice at this size. While for some the bigger screen is a must have I prefer something that tucks neatly into my pocket or a small handbag. Nice choice of colours and a good camera which does everything I require. I would have given five stars but battery life is rather abysmal. Luckily it does have fast charge, but definitely something to consider if this is crucial to you.

I received my phone last week, When I compare the display to my partner's iPhone 15 Pro, I noticed that in the corners of the display, there are janky pixels, this is in all four corners. The iPhone 15 Pro does not have this strange effect. I'm not sure if this is a software bug or a hardware defect. It's almost like the corners of the display do not have a smooth edge where they meet the bezel. Also I would prefer if the volume buttons were on the left hand side of the device in future.

As I have just upgraded from the Galaxy S21 the size of the phone is ideal for my purposes I do like the improvement of the camera which seems to have a faster shutter speed with less blurring the low light level photos are of great resolution, The screen picture quality is also a delight. The battery life appears to last longer even though I have set the charge to 85%. I look forward to exploring and using other features of this phone. This phone meets all my needs and more.

SAMSUNG S23 - The Android OS operates seemlessly with my PC (cannot say the same for my previous iphone). Excellent speaker (for a phone) which makes calls crystal clear and superior to a landline. Superb and intutive camera for snaps with impressive 50Mb res if required. Twin sim, so excellent for travel/workphone. Excellent battery life (3 days on average) so again leaves my old iphone in the dust. Sleek elegant design, so all round a great job by Samsung.

Received a S23 after trading in my S21, I like to do street photography and capture moving objects and its been a dissappointment, pictures are always blurred of people, night mode is horrible, my S21 took better moving pictures and night mode rarely had any blurred objects, I made a mistake and should of kept my S21, I dont know if Samsung have just gone and said we are only caring about cameras on the Ultra, if so its ashame they are neglecting the base models

I returned back after few days because very poor sensitivity and RF section performance. I am having old one plus and old Huawei thru are better than this 23 regarding coverage, low signal strength etc. I have Vodafone network Sim which has low signal. When I put all three phones in a room on table and compare Samsung had very little signal with all had Vodafone network Sim. So improve Samsung RF sensitivity by redesigning RF section of 4G and 5G system.

If I could I would give more than 5 stars, I have owned a Samsung phone well over 20yrs and they have never ceased to amaze with there Samsung products, my daughter used my phone to take a selfie with her new born, after viewing the picture she stated how clean and crisp the quality was, and even more she was on about the front camera, my daughter has had a IPhone for a while now and seeing what the Samsung 23 phone can deliver is thinking of swapping.

I am 70 years old and still discovering the amazing features of my phone, I really like how it warns me of a possible scam phone call and allows me to block it, I have just received my earbuds and feel completely set free. I have not yet received my £100 bonus or information about my Disney +. But keep up the good work on the phones, my grandaughter has an i-phone and it doesn't have half the features of mine, think we might have a convert.

Really enjoying my S23 so far. Coming from an S21, there isn't a huge difference in feel, UI, or noticeable performance. Battery life is better, but again not huge. The screen, however, is significantly better, clearer, more defined and sharper. The camera is just 'chefs kiss' perfect. Enough said. The S23 feels like a quality piece of kit, reassuringly solid, and just about right in weight. I'd recommend the S23 without any reservations.

Great camera for taking photos and videos, even the stars however when transferring from phone to laptop I find it frustrating as the images are at 90 degrees and always need turning, and the videos the same but you cannot turn them. Also even though you transcode exported videos some only copy the sound and I've lost many videos because of this trying to free up space on my phone. In fact it's so annoying some videos are upsidedown

I love the phone apart fron the built in fingerprint sensor which is very very poor indeed. The sensore on my previous S10e was so much better being on th eside of the phone. The sensor with this phone does not work smoothly when a screen protector is attached and it takes several attempts for it to recogniseby which I have to use my PIN. Samsung need to roll out and update for the sensor to work properly with a screen protector.

Had the s21 ultra and needed to.upgrade due to damaging it, I am so disappointed in it the camera is awful probably the worst camera I have used you have to stay still as a statue and lighting is off on all photo's dark greens blue turn out black ect I'm so upset as I know have to wait 2 years contract to upgrade, and will be thinking of changing brand although I have always went with Samsung same with everyone in my household

I love the colour and the shape of these new phones, it feels nice to hold and is the perfect size. They are easy to use and straightforward but has top of the range tech on board. The screen is vivid and colourful with more options than previous models. The battery is amazing. The camera is very good with great zoom, the only thing is I wish there was an introduction on how to benefit from the cameras amazing clarity.

If main reason you'll go for that phone is camera... boy it's a camera, amazing quality and all but... BUT someone in that company decided that it will be great idea to make your photos AUTO-POLISH by some idiot AI and when you think you got great photo wait till it changes... Absolute joke, and best is that's unavoidable, you just can not turn that off. You can use PRO mode but you losing that 200mpx you aiming for.

I was really excited to use my new Samsung Galaxy S23 as I hadn't had a new phone for quite a while. I liked the design of the phone and it was really quick compared to my old smartphone. However, I went for this phone for the reviews regarding the camera but I haven't been impressed. My pictures haven't been of the best quality with some blurry images created - I believe my old phone (about 5 years old) created better images. I like most of the features of the phone - I probably use if for quite basic stuff but I'm happy with that. However, my old phone had the option of having the flash(light) permanently on when taking photos and I loved this feature - this phone doesn't have it and there is no way to add this on (I've googled it) which is quite disappointing as it's a pretty basic feature. I think I'm to late to do anything about but wish I'd got something different.

I'm really happy with this phone , except for the camera. I had high expectations of this camera but it seems to automatically adjust tome and light too much when taking photos of people and objects. I have tried adjusting settings to improve matters but nothing seems to help. In comparison to my A51, I'm a little disappointed. Besides this, the phone itself, speed, function and comfort is very much as expected

This phone is everything the S22 was but pretty much better in every way starting with the battery life which is excellent. I get a full day between charges with moderate to high use. I sent for the 256gb model so have more then enough space. The screen brightness and processor are the same across all S23 devices. No lag. Fast. Use in bright sunlight. Great software and fast updates. Highly recommended.

It's handy one finger use for me as I have small hands. It's AI works extremely well. As for the camera oh wow the zoom on this is out of this world andnthe video side of the camera also. Images are very clear and sharp packed full of goodness. It's lightweight compared to my previous phone. And typing is very easy to use as it predicts what spelling comes next as I dont have to finish a whole word.

I'm sorry but I don't love it..... not because of the phone but because I am 87 yrs old, partially deaf and most definitely don't like AI. I have had the phone for 1 month now and have only had 1 telephone call because the sound isn't high enough. Considering I wanted this to take outside with me in case of a fall (I live in the country) , oh dear, I think I chose the wrong phone.......nuff said.

I love the quality of the camera. In the first week of having the phone the 'VOICE' mode came on without activation. I was unable to control the phone and every time I touched the screen the voice relayed what I was doing. I was so frustrated I wanted to throw it out of the window!! The Samsun helpdesk did help me to resolve the issue eventually. This did affect my confidence with the new S23.

I have always loved the camera on the Samsung and this one is even better along with the features. Easy to connect to pc for sharing or as a true typist (qwerty) I can text or email quicker than using my thumbs😂 on my phone. It has become an extension of me in that I can store everything on it ie calendar, shopping lists, reminder lists etc. The battery is much improved. Magic mobile.

I can't remember when I didn't have a Samsung, from the early flips to modern day. Always been a reliable sturdy piece of tech and only ever gets better, this new phone is amazing. Camera, video quality is outstanding 👌. Menu's and settings are easy to navigate without confusion. Customisable options are phenomenal. Never failed to deliver my home, work and personal needs. Awesome.

Had the S10+ which was excellent, just changed to S23 nightmare, took them 4 hours to transfer data at O2 which included the Samsung visiting guru and still having problems, it's not all about the camera you know, simple things like when on a call and you take phone away from your ear to look at diary and the screen stays blank instead of coming back on automatically as S10 did

I like about the Samsung s23 : Good display, Good sound + Dolby atmos - for movies, music, etc...., Great levels of customisation + good lock, always on display, lock screen, wallpapers, icons, ringtones, clocks & so much more. Easy to use, Good apps, Good user experience. A Samsung phone is now my go-to, I use : s23, s23 ultra, s24 ultra. I'm not changing anytime soon

Absolutely love this phone! I've had samsung phones in the past but changed to another android brand for a few years however decided to come back to using a samsung and it's the best choice I made! It is very user friendly and gives you tips along the way as you use the phone so it picks up your habits and recommends things that may be suitable to your daily activities.

Fantastic phone. I just love everything about it. I had a Galaxy S10 Plus previous to the Galaxy S23, which I loved, and had for about 4 years. The Galaxy S23 does everything it does but much better and faster. I would've loved to purchase the Plus version, but it was outside my budget. I just love Samsung phones, the way they're constructed and their reliability.

So i managed to pick up a galaxy s23 on launch day so far im a big fan coming from a galaxy a52 the speeds of the s23 are absolutely amazing and dont even get me started on the cameras i adore this phone alot my only issues with it is battery life if so bad dosent last more than 4 hours after a 100% charge compared to my 2 year old a52 what lastsed 12 hours easily

All good except for cropping videos. When I take a video then want to chop the start or end off, the frame rate is effected and becomes jumpy. Not what I experienced with the s22. Just waiting for am update which resolves thus issue. I usually go away on holiday and create a video highlights reel. But haven't been able to do it with the s23. 😩

Upgraded from a Samsung S10 thinking maybe I'd made a bad choice and didn't actually need to upgrade as the S10 was still working fine. Well actually, the battery is so much better on this one, the phone feels better and looks so much nicer. Haven't had any issues so far it's just been a joy to use. Hope this one lasts me 4 years like my last!

I couldn't be more happy with my new S23 256mB in green. I have had an S8 65mB (with a 256 mB micro SD card) since July 2017, which has been brilliant, no problems whatsoever and the battery is still good. But as I was stuck on Android 9 and the phone storage was nearly full, 60mB of 64mB and only 4mB of RAM, it had had its day and was strughling with certain apps and features/functions etc. So, this upgrade has been exhilarating and I feel like a time traveller, suddenly being given a phone running Android 14, five versions of operating system newer, its been like goong from Windows DOS 6.1 to Windows 11 in one day. Epic does not cover the improvement, its phenomenal, especial as I'm a Python Hackrr and Flipper Zero fiddler too. Samsung, thank you, you have singlehandedly enabled the "Return of the King" to today's Technical World, I hadmy firt Mobile phone 35 years ago an analogue one, this is pure Science Giction, well done, I salute you xx

This is my 5th Samsung model phone ( I have them for approx 3yrs a time). This model is more compact than my previous s20 fe which makes it easier to hold, put in my pocket, find a space for in the car. It's still the samsung that I know and love, I still know what I'm doing and it does exactly what I would want and expect it to do.

It is an incredible phone with many features I have yet to find out. I have not found any fault with the camera and phone it's self. Although when a black loading screen comes up there is some sort of blue and red slur while the rest of the screen is black. Overall the S23 is an excellent phone and I would higherly recommend!!

Lets just say that I'm NOT enjoying it as much as my previous Samsung Devices...........S3.....2 x S4....an S5 and also 2 x S6. My S6 was my favourite device by far. It still works fine despite being probably close to 8 years old. The only reason I have bought the S23 is that I could no longer access my mobile bank accounts !

Worst phone ever bought : very poor battery life and lagging loosing power even when power saving mode is on . Now cable charger is not norking . It's only 1 year old . Checked so many reviews and saw that this is very disappointing product from big company like Samsung, specially when no one has investigated the issues .

Thought going from a s8 to a s23 would be pretty similar, but unfortunatly although it has alot of new features it has lost some of the old simple features, like being able to choose different notifications for different apps, being able to play music without having to sign up to Spotify. Impressive battery life though.

The phone is typically fast, though I have had issues with stability under media playback. YouTube and Amazon music, as well as Amazon video, all crash if the phone is not regularly interacted with. It appears to be an issue to do with background processes. Battery is rather mundanely average, rarely lasting a full day under regular use. The camera optics, however, are astounding, and the display is absolutely top notch. This is Samsung, after all, and that OLED tech, 120hz motion and (tasteful) colour enhancement all combine to produce astoundingly beautiful images. The overall design is reassuringly solid and high quality. If the battery were a bit beefier, and the OS a little more stable, this would be a firm 5 star. I shall update my review when Android 15 drops, as, in fairness, I suspect this phone's issues are more specific to the Google vendor based OS, rather than anything Samsung have done when "forking" things. The best Samsung I have owned to date.

Overall good phone. Good speed, good RAM and good amount of storage. Camera quality is also pretty good. However my samsung wallet app is stuck on india and any currency related thing on the app gives me indian banks and rupees. Appart from that it's a very good phone and is definitely worth upgrading from my old phone

Some features of my old S7 are missing ie little blue flashing light to let me know I have a message etc. Samsung music does not work, it can't detect all the music I've loaded in the internal memory. Battery life is good but generally there seems to be lots of software bugs which is disappointing for such a new phone.

I traded it from a S22 and cannot be happier! The snapdragon made a HUGE difference, is much faster, the battery last much longer ma overall the design looks cleaner and more modern. Even the camera which physically is the same as the S22 takes better pics specially with the zoom at night and has better dynamic range.

excellent phone, not had a samsung phone for 12yrs really enjoying the ease of use no problem with setting up, like the smart switch app, updates easy to install operating system first class, battery life brilliant screen display clear and bright. Quality build, photos very sharp. Samsung phones for me from now on.

Moved from Oneplus to Samsung for 1st time but the battery life is very mediocare. Not fit for a flagship phone. I am a very light user and using phones for calls, messages and some browsing. But I have to charge my phones multiple times a day. Then these fingerprints not detected with tempered glass is worst of all

Very nice phone. I like the UI (prefer it to google's version of android for features), it's pretty fast, good battery life and it's just the right size (I find a lot of modern phones to be too big to be comfortable for use). The camera is excellent, responsive and good quality. Can't fault it so far to be honest

Upgraded from an S10 to the S23. Immediately noticed the improved battery life. This is my sixth Samsung so it is as expected. Light and easy to use. I buy the smallest to fit into my pocket which is does easily. The camera is much improved and the clarity of the pictures is much better. I am very satisfied.

This phone is absolutely brilliant, I am however very annoyed that it comes with only a charging cable that is type c at both ends, no one has this type of plug and it becomes an additional cost ,its should atleast cone with a plug, also I feel that for the price of tye phone they could atleast add ear buds

Brilliant all-rounder. Battery life exceeded my expectations for such a small phone, can last a full day one 1 single charge without even having to turn on any power saving measures. Compact and easy portability is what I look for but battery life is also very important to me so this phone ticks all boxes.

This S23 is to replace my S10. I am pleased with the S23, smaller in size but good. I thought of switching to Apple, but staying with a Samsung has made it easier to transfer my data etc. At purchase I was told I qualified for a free pair of buds yet to date I have not received any thing. Shame!.

I upgraded to the S23 for only one reason. The reason is that it has the ability to provide an unbroken Bluetooth connection with my hearing aids. My previous phone, ie. A51, was incapable of coping with both video and Bluetooth simultaneously. I can now watch, and 'hear' movies on my S23, at last!

Great phone, like the features, camera quality is excellent. I've always been a fan of Samsung and had their phones for years. Can't go wrong with Samsung The one I have the S23 is perfect, I decided not to go for ultra as they're getting too big for my liking. S23 fits in my pocket perfectly

I was getting on really well then a software update changed all the settings and it has taken me ages to restore them to ones I like and can work with. Also, the AI reminders are really irritating. How can I switch them off? Basically, the phone is great, the software is becoming a nuisance.

It's the size that I like most. Some phones are just too big. The s23 fits in my pocket but still has reasonable battery life usually lasting a day and power to do all the things I need. If I have one criticism the finger print sensor is pants. My previous A50 and s20fe were soo much better.

I just got my s23 and I changed to 100% at night and I unplug it 8hour later battery drop to 80%.The chartering speed is too slow I whant to change my phone and it tells me it need 1 hours to full charger and I only have half an hour until work and at work need to pay for charger

Absolutely awful Been replaced once with a refurb as charging problems which my other two samsung have and to be told by EE and samsung that this is a common problem I as soon as I can will be getting rid of the four samsung and two watches I have leaving EE and going back to an I phone

Have always had Samsung but went fir a oppo last year. But just have upgraded back to this phone and live Samsung but battery life on it is absolutely rubbish. Doesn't even last a day. Never had a Samsung with this problem before. So please sort it out. Only complaint. As excellent.

A absolute massive difference to my old Galaxy S21 in performance, features, camera and looks only one thing the S23 has been down sized from 6.2 to 6.1 but I will get used to it but with everything else I'm super satisfied...My forever phone" as I'm approaching early retirement age

The overheating situation with this particular model is not something that I have found with any other phone and I have had a range of Samsung Galaxy's, hopefully there will be a solution for the problem soon, because I'm not able to use it for very long before it gets really hot.

Overall I am pleased with the phone but it can be problematic when attaching charging cables etc. The exact same cables that worked for my S21 aren't accepted for this one so I am concerned this could be an issue in the future. Always had Samsung and never had this problem before.
