How to fix Samsung laptop battery is not charging?

You may encounter a situation when Samsung laptop battery is not charging. The solutions for this issue are the following:

Plug other devices into the outlet the power cable or charger was in, like a phone charger or lamp. Or, plug the power cable into an outlet you know is working.

Make sure the power cord is plugged in properly at both ends. Some cords are in two parts with an adapter in the middle, make sure that connection is secure, too.

If charging issue is still persisting, go to the next recommendation.

Check the charger functionality with a different device or try to charge the same device with a different charger.

 

A)   If different device charging with the same charger:

It seems your charger is functioning, before getting into the Laptop-related troubleshooting, would like to know whether you are using a Samsung approved charger?

Note: We recommend our customers to use only Samsung approved chargers, as 3rd party chargers with different output rating may cause errors in the device.

 

B) If the device charging with different charger:

It seems there is an issue with your charger, Kindly check the physical condition of your charger for any damage.
If damage: Issue might be because of the damage hence we request you to visit at Samsung service center to get it replaced.

If not damage: Go to the next recommendation.

Driver Update Process:

Note: 

*Steps may vary as per the device model, windows version.

*Charge the Galaxy Book and keep it powered on during the initial set-up process.

*Make sure device is connected to the Internet/ Wi-Fi.

1 Click the Start button on the taskbar.
2 Click All Apps on the Start screen.
3 Find and open Samsung Update from the list of apps.
4 Select Samsung apps from the upper left menu.
5 Select all or select Install or Update of the item to be updated. The items will be updated. If you need to install software, select the software you want to install from the list of software marked [Install] at the bottom of the [Installable] items.

Note - You can install through Samsung Update or the Microsoft Store depending on the type of software.

6 Click the Install or Download button according to the software page to install.

If you need to update software, select the software you want to update from the list of software marked [Update] at the bottom of the [Installable] items.

If you continue to have issues, please contact to Samsung Support.
