Removing Burnt Smell from the Microwave?

To remove a burnt smell from the microwave, try the following:

1 Clean the interior of the microwave with a solution of vinegar and water or a grease-removing cleaning fluid.
2 Place two cups of water in a microwave-safe container, along with either some vanilla extract, lemon juice, or teabags.
3 Place a wooden skewer or chopstick in the container.
4 Heat on high for five minutes or until the water comes to a boil, and then let stand for ten to thirty minutes without opening the door.
5 Repeat if needed.

Note:  Do not use aluminum foil, metal objects (such as containers, forks, etc.) or containers with golden or silver rims. Electric arc or sparking may occur and may damage the oven.
